Chapter 13

Dara walked to the fron clapping to grab everyones attention  “I now formally open this meeting of the student council to discuss the upcoming Foundation week” 

Everyone tried to find a seat or a place to stand since the room they're using is too small for the big crowd.  Joohyun, Leeteuk,Sungmin,Jonghyun and Minhyuk are all members of the student council. While Dara is the president Joohyun took the Vice president seat. The foundation week is fast approaching and as the newly elected members for that year, they’ll be the ones heading the school activities. The rest of their friends decided to volunteer just so they can be with each other this last year of high school. She planned her Senior year way ahead of time, joining all clubs and what not for special merit that she needs for college. Unlike her brothers who are both taking up medical courses, she decided to take up journalism. She discovered her knack for writing which developed because of her love for reading.

“Let’s have the regular booths that we always have every year since the kids seems to like it” Leeteuk, one of the board of council suggested.

“I second that, besides, we have to put something fun there, I don’t think a horror house will be enough at the amount of students we have this year” Sungmin added

“I would also suggest having the senior volunteers head each booth since they already know what to do” Joohyun spoke without looking up from her notebook

“Are we going to have a special prod from the student council department for the program?” Kyuhyun, also one of the board asked

“Apparently yes as this is a yearly thing, anything that you guys can suggest?” Dara asked as she scanned the room full of seniors and a bit of students from the lower years.

“Dance?” Sooyoung shouted

“We can but do we still have time to practice?” Dara answered her while looking at their timeline and things to do which was plastered on the board. They had been caught up by the college exams that they’re not able to concentrate on planning the foundation week.

“Yeah I kinda thought so too” Sooyoung agreed

“How about me and Joohyun just sing a duet?” Kyuhyun suggested

“Yah!!?!” as she shot him a look

“Well, we were able to perform for our music class let’s just do that again, we don’t really need to practice and we can even use the same song, we no longer have time to do anything, if you guys can do magic or cross blazing fire, go ahead but this is what I can suggest so we can set this aside already, we still have to talk about the budget, we only have 1 week left and almost 0 progress” he explained to the whole class

Yes, Kyuhyun and Joohyun are now under one class, she’s happy to be with him again but not in a romantic way, they turned out to be good friends and Joohyun is happy with it. They were also able to clear out any misunderstandings over the years, in short she came clean. So far her senior year is great, she still is best friends with Yonghwa and they talk every now and then, he drops by their class regularly. He was aloof for the first month of senior year when he found out that Kyuhyun and her will be under 1 class but that changed immediately since he is occupied with his now girlfriend Shinhye.

She and Joohyun turned out to be really good friends and would sometimes talk just the two of them. They found a lot of similarities with each other and as heartbreaking as it may seem, she's genuinely happy because her best friend found a great girl and she could not ask for more.

Joohyun thought about Kyuhyuns suggestion while the others wait for her answer

“Come on Joohyun take one for the team!” Minhyuk spoke

“tsk okay! Cross that out as done, me and Kyu will just discuss this ourselves” giving up just like that

“Princess Dinner” her dad called her

“Yeah dad coming” she sigh at the amount of school work that she needs to work on and get done. She still needs to finish a project and her deadline for that months’ school paper is fast approaching. It's also not helping that she's a bit stress on her and Kyu's prod number since they haven't practiced not even once. She put her head on her table and tried to arrange what needs to be done first mentally.

“Are you studying or just sleeping?” a voice came inside her room

“Go away, your just my imagination I’m not expecting any visitors for tonight” she grumbled still not looking at the person.

“Are you sick J?” he strode forward and touch her forehead

“I’m not sick, what do you want Yong?” she finally looked at him

“I need help with my project, I need this J, or else Mrs. Lee would fail me in Physics”

“Gosh Yong I thought I talked to you about this? Almost half of your teachers come to me about you, stop hanging around with those guys! Will this be a yearly habit? I swear I can see you not graduating if you keep on doing so!” She stood up leaving Yonghwa by her table

“You can’t leave me now Joohyun, please! I will study and do anything you want”

“I just want you to get your life together I can’t be there for you always, I’m also busy Yonghwa! Can’t you see? I have my hands full! You have time to hang out and date but no time to do assignments and projects?” she sat at the edge of her bed looking frustrated

“Where is Shinhye? Why isn’t she helping you?”

“She’s busy also and I don’t want to disturb her”

“What about me?”

“You’re my best friend J! you know everything about me! And you understand me more than anyone not even my family just this once joohyun” he knelt down in front of her

“Get your acts together Yonghwa I won’t be here for you forever!” as she shove him away

“Thanks J! I love you so much!” Yonghwa then stood up and opened the door to leave

“Where are you going? Aren’t you going to help me with your project?”

“I promise Shinhye I’ll help her with her diorama thanks again J! you’re the best” as he ran down to go to his next destination leaving the now exhausted and crying Joohyun behind.
