            Sehun was never one for making friends outright. Heck he wasn’t even one to like interaction, if he had his choice he’d stay alone, by himself without any interference from people. It was just something he eventually learned over the years, and the lesson was a painful one.

            Sehun never really saw the point… Why? Why interact and form these connections with one another when it could all end in an utter mess? Why get attached? Why suffer the pain in the end? Wouldn’t it have been simpler to have never known the person in the first place… To not have that connection? Sehun probably would never find an answer to these questions because he wasn’t one to ask, these were just thoughts floating about in his mind whenever they felt like crossing it.

            But there was always that one person who interrupted these thoughts… Luhan… The two have been close friends since secondary school, where they first met. These two had a strange relationship; Luhan was without a doubt popular among people. He gained attention from many others since their middle school years, he was friendly, he was someone that was always entertaining to be around because it was just his personality, it drew people in to him like an inescapable black hole. And apparently this had drawn in even the reluctant Sehun too, Sehun who is quiet and only talks when he is spoken to, Sehun who didn’t care what others thought because he had better things to worry over, Sehun who didn’t mind being alone and only talking to a few people simply because it was easier that way. Sehun who put on a wall of shyness in front of others to simply build a blockage between those he interacted with and himself.

             Of course this relationship between the two didn’t just spring up overnight, it took quite a few years, and back then all Sehun thought of Luhan was that he was just another kid in the halls, just another person going in the same direction, just another person taking up a seat in class. But when the two went home one day at the beginning of the new school year, Sehun realized that they took the same bus and since the two vaguely knew each other, Luhan decided to sit beside Sehun everyday. It was pretty simple really, Sehun was never one to care, and Luhan was just a classmate, an acquaintance he knew at the time so what did it matter to Sehun right? It was only a thirty minute ride anyways and Luhan knew no one else on that bus but him so it just happened.

            But without really knowing much about it, Sehun eventually found himself actually enjoying having Luhan’s company, he looked forward to any classes that the two had together to talk again, he looked forward to seeing Luhan in the hallways, he looked forward to the bus rides to and from school. It was fun… It was enjoyable… It was comfortable…

            It was just them, Luhan knew who Sehun really was and he honestly didn’t mind and he stuck around by his side, he knew that Sehun was no where near as shy as he had portrayed himself to be, Sehun was a bit cold but also intriguing, his comebacks and rebuttals were always a laugh to hear, his attitude wasn’t as resilient as he made it seem, it was just he didn’t really care he just had no opinion on the matter.
