003. Punk?
Life As It IsYujin got into class with a small word of apology to her teacher and sat down.
This is getting annoying. What kind of cursed week is this? It's just Tuesday!
She sat through the lessons without sleeping but the class knew better than to piss her off with their noise.
During break, Yujin decided she should go to the cafeteria once in a while. Also to check with the kitchen workers if Taehyung or Jungkook paid for the damage they caused.
“Omo omo omo Yujin oppa!” some girls squealed and the guys automatically groaned.
Yujin mentally rolled her eyes but she kept a deaf ear physically and lined up for her food. She just stood there with a bored expression and her hands in her pockets as usual with a slouching stance, something she realised that girls.. liked it, when guys did it. Not that she did it to please the girls. She was just naturally like that. Even when she dressed up as a girl, she had often been reprimanded by her mother for her posture.
The boy in front of her noticed her and wanted to skip to the back to let Yujin go first. She clicked her tongue and grabbed his collar and shoved him back to his place.
“Line up properly dammit.” she said coldly. The boy hesitantly nodded.
Kang Yujin being in the cafeteria during break wasn't normal. 'He' never appears in the cafeteria. Maybe once or twice a month.
When it was her turn (finally), she grabbed a tray and a plate and started filling it with food.
“G'afternoon Yujin-ah.” the kitchen worker there greeted.
“Annyeonghaseyo.” she softly said and very very very slightly bowed.
He smiled.
“Ah. Jugiyo, did the idiots pay up for the damage yesterday?”
The kitchen worker's smile faltered just a little but she caught it. “They paid.”
Not buying his lie, she asked, “How much was it.”
“No.. They paid.” he firmly replied.
Yujin sighed. “If you say so.”
She made her way to an empty table at the corner and sat down.
Halfway eating, a leg landed on the chair opposite her harshly. The chair almost fell over.
“Look who decided to show up!”
Kim Taehyung..
The students in the cafeteria looked over. Some continued staring but some turned back to their food. It was expected. Whenever Kang Yujin appeared during break, drama would sure unfold.
“Ignoring us?! I still have to pay you back for what you did to my face!!” Taehyung growled.
Yujin did as he said, ignored them and continued eating as if they weren't there. Taehyung was about to flip her tray when she grabbed his hand.
“Don't. You dare. Waste my food.” she said without looking at him and put a spoonful of rice in , chewed it and swallowed it as Taehyung swung his hands out of her grip.
Jimin slammed her table and opened his mouth to-
“What the HECK do you want?!” Yujin yelled before he could say anything.
The whole cafeteria became quiet and turned their way again.
“Don't bother me when all you're gonna do is slam tables and waste food!” Yujin shouted. “-go destroy a park somewhere outside of the school compound, dammit!”
Jungkook seized(?) the chance and pushed Jimin away. he slammed the table with both his hands. He made eye contact with her and swung his left hand roughly on the table so that Yujin's tray of food smashed to the floor.
The sound of her plate clattering on the floor echoed in the whole cafeteria. Jungkook still had his hands on the table as he bent forward facing Yujin, who was currently staring at her food decorating the white floor tiles.
“Consider that payback for punching me.” he said softly. Jungkook rarely talked but Yujin could hear the strong sense of satisfaction in his voice.
Yujin snapped and stood up noisily before she grabbed Jungkook's collar. The guys took a step forward in caution but did nothing to stop her. It was Jungkook's act. He was responsible to finish it up.
“Is this a game to you?” Yujin growled. Jungkook fought back with his piercing glare. “-don't give me that bull glare. That's all you've got. If you're so stuck up about everything, go bury yourself in the sand and stay there for life. No one needs to see this stupid face that doesn't even know how to be thankful for food given for free.”
“Don't lecture me,” Jungkook answered back in an equally scary tone as Yujin. “-it's just trashy cafeteria food.”
Hearing what he said, Yujin let go of him but in the next split second, her fist landed into his face.
Everyone in the cafeteria stood up in horror as Yujin jumped on Jungkook and pushed him down. She landed another punch on his other cheek and grabbed him up by his collar.
This time the guys tried to pry her off the youngest boy but she pushed them away harshly and she grabbed him again.
“Don't call it trashy. Why don't you go into the god-forsaken kitchen and try cooking for a hundred students huh?” Yujin asked. “-I told you all not to bother me so don't blame me for ruining your pretty face like this.”
“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!” a sharp voice pierced through the silence.
Standing at the entrance was a slim lady with proper office wear and frame-less glasses.
Yujin finally let go of Jungkook with a firm push and got up. The latter wiped his mouth to check if his lips got cut again. Thankfully not, but he was still angry at her.
“Kang Yu Jin, my office, now!”
The boys smirked.
“Look who's in trouble now?” Namjoon asked.
Yujin just swallowed the urge to punch his face as well. She grabbed her tray and plate from the floor and threw it in the bucket on the way out.
***
“Kang Yujin.”
Yujin just stared blankly at the discipline teacher with her hands behind her.
“I don't understand why are you always causing trouble. Leave them alone, they will do the same.”
The teacher sighed, Yujin rolled her eyes.
Oh you have no idea.
“I don't understand why would you be like this. Your grades are high but you attitude.. it's very low. You are BH High's only hope do you not understand? Brush up your attitude a little?”
Ohhoh. I could come to school tomorrow with the best attitude ever and I swear you will die of a heart attack. I'm just saving your life.
Yujin patiently listened to the unnecessary lecture. When the teacher was finally done, Yujin bowed dramatically just to tick her off and walked out.
The bell rang just on time.
She didn't feel like going to class so she went back to the cafeteria.
