“Hey llama wake up, your mom wants to talk you right now” Seulgi was standing beside Amber’s bed, constantly calling her name with a spatula in her hand.

“Llama” she repeated but Amber didn’t move an inch, she finished two more movies before she slept beside Seulgi not forgetting a kiss on her forehead.

“Yah! Amber Josephine Liu!” Fed up, she threw a pillow straight to her that made her sit straight up immediately. She scratched her eyes and squinted it towards Seulgi.

“Good morning Bear” she smiled a playful one, seeing the crossed brows of her girlfriend.

“Morning. Now get up and Mama Liu is on the phone” she turned and went back immediately to the kitchen remembering eggs and bacon on the pan.

“I don’t have a good morning kiss?” Amber whined.

“You are hard to wake up and my bacons are going to burn so I pass” with that she disappeared from sight.

Amber changed into a black shirt from tank top and wore white shorts over her boxers.

“Hey mom what is it?” She could hear a huge sigh from the other line and it gave her a clue that maybe something terrible happened.

“Amber, do you know where Yiyun is?”

“uhm… as far as I know he’s supposed to be there with you guys”

“Well, he’s missing” she might tried to sound cool but she can’t help herself but to sob.

“Wait, missing? Kidnapped?”

“No. she left a note. We just saw it this morning”

“Woah, wait mom, the wedding is in a month. He can’t possibly escape from his responsibilities.”  

“He just did. Anyway, the Jung’s are here I’ll call you back later”

“Sure mom, say hi to Dad for me” She hung up and her shoulders slumped involuntarily. Rubbing her temple, she followed Seulgi to the kitchen and saw her preparing the table for them. When she saw Amber’s problematic face, she stopped what she was doing, approached her and caressed her cheeks.

“What happened Am?”

“Mom said Yiyun’s missing”

“What? He can’t be, the wedding is in a month right?”

“Right. They don’t know what to do actually.”

“I can ask for my Dad’s help. We can solve this one easily, it’s better if we eat and sort things out after”

Amber’s mood lit up a bit after seeing the food served on the table, she looked at Seulgi and smiled, mouthing ‘Thank you’ before sitting.

The couple may sat on their chairs silently but their eyes spoke a lot. They would smile and feed each other, sometimes falling into a moment where they would just stare at each other’s eyes then smiling. They washed the dishes together, not forgetting to play with the soap suds and water that wet their clothes. After changing into dry ones, they sat in front of the tv to watch some shows while waiting for Amber’s mom to call. Amber ran her hands through Seulgi’s hair who had her head on Amber’s lap.

“Mom, how was it?” Amber took the phone when it rang while Seulgi moved so that she was now looking up at the former.

“The Jung’s accused your father with Yiyun’s disappearance and they even gave us an ultimatum to bring Yiyun out or else they’ll sue”

“Sue? Immediately?”

“They’re upset Amber, you know how our family ties are with them.  They trusted each and every one of us so much”

“Yeah right, I’ll try to do something about that mom.”

“Thanks Amber”

“Found anything yet?” Amber swiveled her chair towards the investigator they hired to look for Yiyun, it’s been three days and she only has 3 more days to find him.

“Not a trace ma’am, her passport showed no evidence of flight, we already looked at every property your family owns but still no tracks were left”

“Damn he’s good. If by any chance, you got information with him, call me immediately”

“Yes Ma’am”

Knowing that she got no choice if she still couldn’t find her brother, she took out her phone and dialed her secretary.

“Kindly book a flight for me to Seoul by tomorrow. Cancel all my appointments and send the message to my professors, tell them it’s a family problem.” When her secretary confirmed her schedules, she hung up.

“Lotion?”

“Inside the bag”

“Eye mask?”

“Check”

“Headache  pills?”

“Done”

“So – “

“Seulgi, everything’s set. Stop worrying, besides you’re coming with me” Seulgi came surprised with the fact of going with Amber.

They’d been packing things up for two hours now and she was just there double – checking the important stuff she knows her girlfriend needs and with her saying that she’s included, she panicked.

“Why didn’t you tell me first hand?”

“Because you were busy with my own things, I can’t even speak”

“I need to pack up”

“No need, I already asked my secretary for that”

“When is that?”

“4 hours earlier, after I asked for your parent’s permission”

“Well that was fast.” Seulgi nodded her head like she was convinced with the fact.

“Let’s get going”
