“How dare you and your parents to play tricks on me and my family, Amber Liu” gritting his teeth in anger, Mr. Jung tightened his grip on Amber’s collar who by then still can’t recover from being punched hard.

“No one has ever played games on me and I hate it that the people whom I trusted with almost everything did that to me the first time.”

“Dad! What are you doing? She’s hurt” Krystal almost cried upon seeing Amber at this state, her lips bleeding profusely and she seem not to know what was happening to her.

Hearing this, Mr.Jung dropped Amber down not caring how she hit the edge of the chair with force.

“You knew?!” He shouted, feeling another surge of anger creeping in him.

“I – I learned everything back in Jeju…”

“And yet you didn’t oppose to it? You didn’t even tell me?!”

“Amber sacrificed for her family dad, she did that – “

“Lies! Yiyun was seen in a secluded area in America, starving and no home to go to because his own sister tricked him to get our money for herself by marrying you.”

“Amber can never do that! She was the one who cared for me all these – “

“Yiyun spoke for himself and I believe him. Seeing what happened to him all these months, I can not forgive that liar.” Mr. Jung was about to give Amber another blow on the face when Yiyun stopped him by grabbing his arm.

“Leave her be Dad, I just want Krystal and my child back” He spoke in the calmest way, without any trace of concern for his sister on the floor.

“Get that out of here and you go back to your real husband now Krystal” Mr. Jung fixed his coat while ordering his bodyguards to bring Amber out. After she was left on the streets where her parents immediately saw her, Krystal was then dragged back inside the moment she tried to follow her friend.

“Did you not hear me? She was an opportunist!”

“Amber will never be an opportunist to my eyes Dad”

“Yiyun was left astray, He’s supposed to be just visiting her in the states but she asked her friends to beat him up and leave him far from there just because he said that he wouldn’t want to get anything from us. Listen to me Krystal, that person is a devil”

“Amber… is not – “

“I can’t believe my sister did that to me” Yiyun all of a sudden cried in front of them, his face showed hardships he claimed to have been through. Maybe one of the reasons Mr. Jung believed him.

“Everything’s okay now Yiyun” He approached the other guy and patted him in his back, completely concerned about his feelings. But Krystal was firm to her stand that Amber could never do such thing, Amber is truer than her brother and it will take much before she believes him.

“And – and when I called my parents… they – t –told me to be quiet. It hurts dad, so much”

“They’ll get what they deserve Yiyun”

The following day, all of Amber’s properties was withdrawn by the bank through Mr.Jung’s connections including their accounts and savings. Nothing was left literally for them except for their clothes and 10,000 dollars from Amber’s piggybank. She saved the amount initially to give Krystal a special gift which is a necklace with a ring that symbolizes their indestructible friendship.

“Where are we going Yeobo?” Mrs. Liu asked her spouse while they were walking in the streets, not certain where exactly they would be heading to.

“We’ll find a place, Amber’s money is enough for us to survive for a week or so.”

“I’ll go find a job dad” This is the first time Amber spoke since yesterday, her parents helped her that time she was thrown out of the Jung’s house. That was also the time where she learnt that Yiyun just came out from nowhere and accused them with things, including what he just said earlier. She was surprised, she didn’t know that her own brother will do those things to them, after all they did and sacrificed. After she let Seulgi go just to cover him up, he’ll do all those thing to her. it hurt her more than the time she parted ways with seulgi, this is more unbearable than the other pain she felt.

“I’m sorry Amber” Mr.Liu is the epitome of strength and durability in their family, he was the one who always stood on ground whenever there are problems coming their way. He is the most positive among them but this time, tears ran through his cheeks and his heart screamed in pain.

“Don’t cry dad, everything’s going to be fine” Her eyes couldn’t bring more tears to shed, she’s been crying all night thinking what would happen to her and her family and to Krystal who was left there in the hands of her brother.

She remained emotionless, her eyes showed no emotion that made her mother cry also. Her daughter, the one whom she almost despised because of her uality is the one who sacrificed a lot for them. She regretted the times she chose Yiyun over her, when she defended him even though he’s wrong. She regretted that she loved him so much.

“I don’t want you to be loitering around. Understand?” Yiyun closed the door on Krystal’s room, locking it as he went outside.

After what happened yesterday, Krystal just wanted to run for Amber but Yiyun grabbed her with force. She almost screamed in pain but no one can hear her since her father already left to talk to his lawyers. Yiyun dragged her to the room and pushed her to the bed, she was worried for her baby that time but she can’t do anything. The only thought that was running on her mind is she need to save the baby inside her, because it was hers and Amber’s.

She tried to fight back to escape, but Yiyun’s hand came in contact with her face and she fell back. He brutally ripped her clothes off, slapping her hard if ever she tries to break free. She really thought he’ll be successful in her but good thing that her mother suddenly called for them downstairs and she thanked the Lord for saving her.

Yiyun repeated all his lies to her mother but she can only hear her agreeing. Mrs. Jung is not fully convinced with everything that he said, but she chose to go with the flow to somehow have someone who could keep an eye to Krystal.

Mrs. Jung told him that she’ll be sleeping with Krystal that night, but he refused and told her that Krystal is sick and he’ll be the one who will take care of her. She was really scared that time for there is a huge possibility that Yiyun will do something terrible to her but she kept her guard up, she needs to be strong.

That night, while she was wide awake, aware of the surroundings around her. She tried to find her phone she knew she fell somewhere when he slapped her. She wanted to call Amber and ask for help, she knew Amber will never let her down but to her dismay she did not find it. Maybe Yiyun took it with him to prevent her from speaking and she fell to her knees crying.

“Amber” She hugged the blanket covering her as her tears fell from her eyes. She remembered the way the other girl looked at her with care and love, how she did almost everything just to make her smile, how she understood all her mood swings even from the start where she was pretending to be her brother to the point where she discovered her secret. It made Amber more caring after the revelation and she really loved the way she cared for her.

All she wants was to go back to the person who loved her maybe just as a friend but still respected her with who she is and cared for her genuinely.

She wants Amber back.
