40 WeeksI was 16 when I was recruited as a trainee for the company SM Entertainment. I had to leave my mother and father back in Canada while I moved to my mothers home country. It was hard but I didn't cry. I had to show my courage to my parents, that I was old enough to begin the career that I had wished for. To show them that I was making the right choice.
From Toronto, Ontario to Seoul, South Korea I travelled.
The day I arrived into the building was always so vivid. The day I met him.
Zhang Yixing. He was a year older than me. But that didn't matter.Something about him radiated. A light that just was emitted from all around him. I can't really describe it but I felt drawn to him.
The first time I saw him, he was sitting on a couch in a training room with a couple other boys. Joking around most likely because when he laughed, one dimple just popped up out of nowhere. So when one of the choreographers introduced me to them, his look was soft. He gently bowed to me and said his hello's. From there I had a small school girl crush.

About three years later, thats when things between Yixing and I became to get more serious. I knew I was debuting soon as well as Yixing and the rest of EXO. But for me, I was just a solo singer. No group. They told me that I didn't sound good with any other of the girls. It was sad at the beginning but I began to get over it.
