She pushed her round glasses up her petite nose and turned the page of the adventure book she was reading. Taekwoon, otherwise known by everyone as the ice prince, sat across from Jaerin. He stared intently at the way her ebony black hair fell over her glasses, covering her face. His eyes lingered at her elegant pale hands turning the pages. He loved that Jaerin was always so fixated in her books. “Studying hard?” he teased. Jaerin looked up slowly, a small smile spreading on her face as she saw her closest friend in the school – Taekwoon. “Don’t worry, your little secret is safe with me.” he tapped his nose, winking. Sanghyuk slumped next to Taekwoon, a distressed look on his face. Jaerin raised her eyebrow. “I have a test tomorrow. How did I only just find out today?” He banged his head on the table. “Hey Hyukkie,” he lifted his head. “I could help you.” Taekwoon frowned, but not going unnoticed by Sanghyuk. The younger boy smiled and nodded, deciding to ask Hakyeon for ideas on how to wind Taekwoon up to the point of confession. Please, he thought, I think everyone, believe it or not, can see that the two idiots like each other. “Oh, Taekwoon. Don’t be alarmed, we can still have our hang out in the café after school. We always do, right? I’ll just be helping your friend out too.” Taekwoon bit the inside of his mouth so that he wouldn’t abuse Sanghyuk right there and then. Later, just you watch. “How are you two even friends? Hyung is the scary beast while you’re the pretty butterfly.” Taekwoon got up from his chair to threaten Jaehwan. Jaehwan gulped. “See what I was talking about? He’s the scary one. I’m surprised you managed to approach him.” Jaerin laughed. “Taekwoon, stop scaring him.” Taekwoon immediately softened.   Hakyeon slapped Jaehwan on the back, giving Jaehwan the ‘knowing look’. It was his look to Jaehwan that it was time to leave the lovebirds alone. And also that he was up to something.   “Hey Jaerin. Could you do me a favour?” Hongbin scratched the back of his neck. Jaerin looked up at him with her big doe eyes, before smiling brightly, gesturing for him to sit. “Sure. What is it that you need?” Well that was easy, Hongbin thought. “Well, you see, Taekwoon hyung has been in the shower for almost an hour now. Could you tell him that we’re going to go for food now and that if he doesn’t hurry up we’ll go without him?” Jaerin nodded eagerly. “Yes, of course.” Jaerin’s heart thumped loudly as she thought about Taekwoon, and especially the fact that they’d be alone. She just hoped he wouldn’t come out the bathroom shirtless. That would really ruin – or rather make her day. She mentally slapped herself. “No, I don’t like him, I just find him attractive.
