I tugged on my older brother’s sleeve, looking up at him with big puppy eyes. “Oppa, yugwa juseyo!” Wonshik instantly burst out in a grin, taking my hand. “Whatever you wish, princess Jiwon!” I nudged his arm playfully, covering my cheeks. “Yah! Stop calling me that, I’m not a baby anymore.” Wonshik laughed heartily and ruffled my hair. “You are. You’re my baby sister!” he cooed. Me and my brother had always been like that; him calling me princess Jiwon and me blushing in embarrassment. Wonshik was often called dongsaeng pabo by his friends because of our relationship. He would pamper me and give me whatever I liked; he’d always put me first, even if his friends begged him. I would almost have to lock him out in order to get him to go with his friends.   Which is why everything got awkward when I found out one of his friends liked me. It was never said – there was never a confession or a kiss. I simply just knew. Ken always hinted that he might possibly like me. For example, he’d hug me just a little longer than the other boys, he always wanted to feed me like couples do, and he’d even sit next to me on the sofa every time Wonshik was late waking up. But it wasn’t just that. His eyes would constantly appear to be on me and he’d compliment how pretty I looked. I’d laugh nervously and look away. And things only got worse. “Jiwon-ah, can I talk to you?” Wonshik asked at the breakfast table. His usually beaming face was replaced with a serious expression. I looked around the table as everything silenced. I nodded. Once in my room, he crashed on my bed, his body going limp. I watched him as his breathing got shakier. He sighed and sat up again, looking at me again, and in his eyes I saw defeat. “I like someone.” He stated bluntly. A smile appeared on my face. “Someone you know.” I drew closer to him, sitting beside him and playing with his fingers. “Is she nice?” I asked quietly. Wonshik closed his eyes and nodded, before shaking his head. “Yes, he’s amazing.” He whispered. My eyes widened. Had I heard him correctly? Had he said ‘he’? “I like Jaehwan.” Everything stopped.   Ken’s P.O.V   I smoothed out my crisp white polo t-shirt. Today would be the day I’d confess to Jiwon. If I had to be honest, I was excited and a little scared. Excited of seeing her surprised face and her flushed cheeks. But scared that she would tell me she didn’t feel the same way. Were all confessions this nerve-wracking? I sent another text to her to make sure she was ready. I slipped on a random pair of shoes and checked my phone again, seeing that she had texted back. A grin appeared on my face, replacing all of my nerves with excitement. Just imagining her standing in front of me sent flutters through my heart and warm tingles to shoot through my veins. I ran to Jiwon’s house as fast as I could and gave the door a knock. She opened the door, giving me a small smile. Though she was only dressed in casual clothes, my heart leaped at how she could look so pretty in simple clothes. “Hey Jaehwan oppa!” she greeted me, her eyes shrinking at her lips widened in a cute grin that reminded me too much of her older brother.
