I sat at the dinner table on my own, looking at my watch. 8:20. He was already twenty minutes late. Had he forgotten? Was he staying over at SM? Did he know that it’s our 2 year anniversary today? I picked at the food I had cooked for the two of us. Maybe I’m being too paranoid about this. I fought a battle with myself in my head. He hasn’t missed an anniversary until now, why would he?
