That was when my phone rang in my pocket. I got up to answer it. “Yeoboseyo? Oh, Sooah unnie! What’s up?” I munched on another cookie. “What?! A reunion?” “Yeah, a reunion. Me and the girls are planning to go and there’s no way you’re not going too.” “No.” I answered. “I’m not going because the only people I’m going to want to be talking to are you girls. I’m sorry but I’m not going.” I hung up before she could say another word. I sat down on the sofa. I have nothing to do. My job doesn’t start until tomorrow. “Five years, eh? It took me this long to finally get a job.” I sighed. I bet everyone has perfect jobs. And maybe perfect husbands. I shook my head free of those thoughts. I’ve made my mind up. My doorbell rang, causing my dog to get scared and start barking. I jumped up and opened the door. “Surprise! Although you knew I would come. Yeah, yeah, I know.” She mumbled, smearing lip gloss over her lips. “Do I have a choice?” Sooah shook her head. “I guess I’d better change out of this then.”   Me and Sooah arrived at our old school shortly after the clock hit 6. I saw crowds of girls and what I could only guess were their boyfriends. I spotted a group of girls I used to be friends with. “Oh look, there they are!” Sooah waved to our friends, Dohee, who was standing in a short black dress with Hoseok, her boyfriend since she started work 4 years ago, Boyeon, who was talking to her gym-obsessed boyfriend Jimin, and Jihye, who was stuffing food in and dancing to the music. I wonder if she is still single or if I’m the only one left. I was about to say hello when a pretty faced boy came up to her and kissed her cheek. I sighed. I’m the only single pringle. “Serin!” I turned around. Dohee embraced me in her famous teddy bear hug. “Still single?” I nodded, looking over at Jihye and her boyfriend. “Who’s he? I haven’t seen him before.” “Oh, Seokjin?” She tapped her forehead. “Remember when you tripped over your own feet while checking out-?” I looked away. Don’t say it. “Some guy. Anyway, he was the boy that took you to first aid.” I nodded, remembering the accident briefly. “Serinnie…” she spoke quieter. I hummed in response. “Did you ever speak to Jackson again?” I wish she didn’t ask about that. “No. And I hope he’s not here if I must be honest.” I answered, looking around to see if he was here. “Looks like Boyeon’s having a hard time with her boyfriend.” Sooah pointed out.   I looked over at Boyeon and Jimin. Practically every girl’s eyes were on Jimin’s body. Boyeon was glaring at the girls and clinging to his arm, but nothing seemed to stop them. I rolled my eyes. “Rin!” a loud and cheerful voice exclaimed before tugging me into a tight hug. I laughed and patted his back. “Hoseok! How’s it going?” I asked, pulling away from the hug. “Oh, you know, keeping busy with my job and moving Dohee’s things into my place.” He replied with a gummy grin, slinging his arm around Dohee’s waist. Dohee’s eyes sparkled with affection as she looked up at him.
