"Heechul"

Forgotten Promise

Why? Why did I ask stupid Donghae if he could be my partner in the first place? Why?!

Yoona had questioned herself the same question every time. She was at the wedding, with no partner. Shame enveloped her heart, but so did anger. She was so furious at Donghae; she couldn't help but blame Donghae for making her the only girl without a partner. Jessica skipped to Yoona and stared at her sympathetically.

"Don't feel bad, Yoona! I'm sure that someone will ask you to dance with them, even though they have partners," Jessica assured. That just made Yoona feel worse.

"Who would ask me to dance with them? They should stick to their partners instead!" Yoona exclaimed.

"I'll dance with you."

Yoona's eyes–which were full of hope–shined brightly as she stared up, hoping that it was Donghae. To her disappointment, it wasn't Donghae. No, it was sadly her boyfriend, Minho. Her bright eyes turned dull and bored, as she loosened up.

"Oh, hey Minho oppa," she greeted dully.

"Hey, you don't seem please to see me. Aren't I your boyfriend?" Minho smirked.

"Mhm, whatever you say," Yoona mumbled, as Jessica smirked.

"Ha, I told you she got tired of you," Jessica teased.

Minho frowned, annoyed with Jessica's teasing. "Can you stop it? We're at your aunt's wedding. I'd hate it if I had to ruin this party, and you'd be the scapegoat."

"Mehrong! You're just scared that it's the truth!"

"Am not!" Minho denied, but inside, he was. He was beginning to worry and freak out that Yoona wasn't interested in her charismatic boyfriend, but her fishy childhood friend. All the time, he had tried to deny that Yoona wasn't getting tired of him, but now, he wasn't so sure.

Hopefully she doesn't get tired of me, Minho thought, gulping nervously as he stared at Yoona's cloudy eyes.

"Heechul, you should be damn lucky that I was kind enough to help you. I had to even reject Yoona's invitation to her wedding," Donghae grumbled, as Heechul clasped his hands together.

"Donghae, I am one-hundred percent grateful for your cooperation! Really, you and I will not regret this!" Heechul exclaimed, thanking Donghae for the billionth time. Yuri, who was at the corner, looked annoyed and pissed.

"Can we go now? I want to see Minho oppa! I promised him to be right on time, but then look! A minute passed already!" Yuri growled, pointing at Heechul's watch.

Donghae scratched his wig and said, "Ugh, I hate this wig. It's so itchy! I wish you'd just go to the wedding as Jessica's partner."

"Hey, if you didn't wear that wig, you wouldn't look like me! See, you look like me!" Heechul exclaimed, patting Donghae's shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I look nothing like you," Donghae sighed, rolling his eyes.

"What? You look exactly like me!…Oh no, wait, you're right, you don't look anything like me. That's because I look more cool and awesome than you–"

"YA!" Donghae shouted, taking off the wig. "Do you want my help or not?"

"Sheesh, okay, okay! I'm sorry! Gosh, someone's moody," Heechul muttered.

"Can I go now?" Yuri pleaded impatiently.

Yoona gulped down her cup of fruit punch. She enviously stared at everyone who had some kind of mate to dance with. One particular group stood out, and that was Jessica and Minho. The two were bickering as if there was no tomorrow.

"Ow! You step on my shoe!" Jessica complained.

"I did not! You stepped on my shoe!" Minho protested. Yoona couldn't help but giggle.

Those two…They'll never get along, Yoona thought, smiling.

"My what a beautiful smile you have," a familiar voice said smoothly. Yoona stopped smiling. Her heart began to race faster and faster, and her cheeks began to turn cherry red.

It can't be…!

"Donghae?" Yoona exclaimed, turning around. To her disappointment, it was Heechul. Heechul grinned.

"Hey Yoona!" he greeted.

Strange, Yoona thought, frowning, He sounds like Donghae, but he looks like Heechul. Aigoo, those two must've spent too much time together! Wah, and I thought it was Donghae oppa! I was fooled!

Just then, Yoona's eyes caught someone else. She found another guy who looked exactly like Heechul. Yuri tried to cover Heechul, but since she ws shorter than him, she failed to do so. Yoona's eyes widened, shocked to see two Heechul at once.

Wait, if one Heechul is over there, while another Heechul is over here, then that means…

"Everyone! Before you can see the bride and groom, I would like to make a special announcement!" Jessica spoke confidently through the mike. Everyone gathered around the stand, as Jessica flashed a bright smile at "Heechul."

"For a while, everyone has been wondering who I would like to marry in the future," Jessica continued, staring at "Heechul", "And finally, I have found the right man. He understands me like no one else do, and he always listens to my speeches."

"YOU BICKER, JESSICA! YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT SPEECHES!" Minho shouted in the crowd. Jessica shot Minho a dirty glare.

"Shut up!" she snapped. She cleared and smiled. "Anyways, continuing my announcement, I have discussed this with my future groom. His name is no other than Kim Heechul! Please welcome him as he joins me on the stage!"

Everyone clapped humbly, as Yoona stared at Donghae, who was dressed as Heechul. Donghae looked pale and shocked, as if he didn't expect to be walking up to the stage.

Cures you, Heechul! You didn't say anything about being married to Jessica! Donghae thought, making an angry fist. Still, he walked up the stage. Yoona bit her lips, staring at Donghae as he went up the stage. Ideas began to fill her head, as her heart began to feel troubled.

What if Donghae oppa was dressed like Heechul so that he could marry Jessica unnie? Why is he doing this? Did he give up on me? Yoona wondered. When she saw Donghae taking Jessica's hand as if he was Heechul, she bit her lips.

Does he…not like me anymore?

That question broke her heart. She couldn't tell how hurt she was. All she could feel was pain. It was like when she dipped her whole body into the freezing ocean. Donghae forced out a weak smile, and then glanced at Yoona. Yoona couldn't watch anymore. She ran out before she could hear another word from Donghae's mouth.

No…no please…Please don't let Donghae get tired of me…Not just yet! Please give me one more chance! she pleaded, as hot tears trickled down her cheek.
