Hello guys!

Yes, it's me and I'm here to give you guys an update but before that please spare me some time to make an apology.

I was MIA for a week... believe me it's something I didn't plan on and it was completely fortuitous and I still wonder why my internet connection went down for a freakin week, it wouldn't be a billing issue since my net bill is auto-debited to my mom's credit card. Ugghh... So much for thinking that wireless broadband is really reliable. Sigh...  So again I apologize, there are just some things beyond my control.

“Yul, can you watch over Yoona tonight? My parents asked me to join them at a dinner meeting.” Jessica asked as Yuri entered Yoona’s private ward.

 

 

“Dinner meeting? I bet they are introducing you to your prince charming right Sica? Kekeke” Yuri joked around, a joke that was met with an Icy glare and a slipper flying towards Yuri’s face.

 

 

“Yah! Jessica Jung! Do you know just how bad your feet smell?!” Yuri yelled and was later met with another slipper hurdling through the air, it landed squarely on her face.

 

 

“Tsk… not funny Yul, besides you know that I’m practically engaged to your sister you idiot!” Jessica walked over to Yuri and smacked her head. Yuri showed a familiar Cheshire grin while scratching her head.

 

 

“I was just kidding Sica.” Yuri snickered as she went to Yoona’s bedside.

 

 

Jessica grabbed her purse and her Dress coat, a quick look on the mirror to fix her hair and straighten her clothes and in a flash she was done. Jessica went to Yoona, a subtle smile crept on Jessica’s lips, and to say that she terribly missed Yoona would be the biggest understatement. If there is a word that would best describe how much she missed her girlfriend then perhaps that would best describe how Jessica felt.

 

“Baby, sorry I can’t spend the night with you… I’m going to have dinner with mom and dad.” Jessica caressed Yoona’s cheeks.

 

 

Jessica leaned in to kiss Yoona once again, if kisses could only wake Yoona up, she would have been awake a long time ago. Nothing in the world could possibly make Jessica happier than to see Yoona showing her toothy grin and her bright doe eyes looking back at her. How she missed looking into Yoona’s eyes. With a nudge at Yuri who has immersed herself into reading a health and fitness magazine, Jessica gestured that she had to go, Yuri replied with a casual hum as she resumed reading the magazine.

Before going to the restaurant where she was going to meet with her family, Jessica went home to freshen herself up and change into something more appropriate. Her father mentioned that they will have an important guest however he failed to mention who their guest was. Jessica chose to wear a pastel pink cocktail dress that hugged every contour of her lithe body. She wore a pair of 5 inch heeled white pumps and a pearl white channel purse.  Jessica didn’t do anything special with her hair nor wore a lot of jewelry, her blonde hair flowed seamlessly down her shoulder, there was no necklace draped on her neck nor bracelets wrapped around her wrist. Only a pair of pearl earings glimmered faintly behind her blonde tassels and a silver couples ring adorned Jessica’s finger. Those two particular pieces of jewelry were given by Yoona.

 

 

Jessica drove herself to the restaurant and arrived at the appointed time of 7:30 P.M.

 

 

“Jessica honey, you made it in time.” Mrs. Jung greeted and hugged her eldest daughter.

 

 

“You look perfect tonight princess.” Mr. Jung chimed in as Jessica hugged her dad.

 

 

“Unnie, I’m glad you joined us for dinner, I would be bored to death if you didn’t come tonight.” Jessica turned her attention to the youngest Jung. Krystal, Jessica’s sister.

 

 

“Why would I want that to happen, BabyJung?” Jessica chuckled as she pinched Krystal’s cheeks before giving her a warm and hearty hug.

 

 

The four Jung’s settled themselves into a table. The waiter’s assisted them and served sparkling white wine while the four Jung’s waited for their guests. Jessica noticed that there was only room for two more people in their round table; she became curious of their guests.

 

 

The restaurant’s grand chandelier shimmered and sparkled, the dining area filled with the other patrons of the fanciest restaurant in all of Seoul. The sound of the Grand Piano and the accompaniment of violas and violins filled the air, wonderful and relaxing music filled Jessica’s ears as she sipped on her glass of wine.

 

 

From the corner of Jessica’s eyes she could see a sizeable looking man enter the restaurant. His black hair swept back as he wore a white pinstriped suit. This man had an arrogant expression on his face. Behind the man that caught Jessica’s attention, a familiar looking young man with short scruffy black hair followed him. This young man was dressed in black from head to toe. He looked sharp and handsome in his black suit and tie. As these two men entered the restaurant, Jessica was surprised to find that these two men were heading to their table.

 

 

“Ah! Mr. Kang  Ho Dong! You finally made it!” Mr. Jung stood up and greeted Kang.

 

 

Before Jessica could even get over the shock of learning that Kang Ho Dong was their guest, she suddenly got a good look at the young man that accompanied Kang Ho Dong. Jessica could barely believe it and the young man couldn’t help but be surprised as well at Jessica’s presence at the dinner table.

 

 

“Oh! Before anything else, allow me to introduce my son Yonghwa.” Kang wrapped his arm around his son’s shoulder and introduced him to the Jungs.

 

 

“A pleasure to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Jung.” Yonghwa greeted Mr. Jung with a handshake. He then went to Mrs. Jung and kissed her hand.

 

 

“Mr. Kang you’ve raised a rather dashing young man, am I right girls?” Mr. Jung praised Yonghwa.

 

 

Krystal simply giggled but Jessica remained quiet, she breathed no word nor show any smile. It was simply typical of Jessica but what everyone else missed was that she was eyeing Yonghwa charily. Jessica fixed her eyes on Yonghwa, under different circumstances she would have confronted him. Nobody knew of his identity and as far as she knew Yonghwa wasn’t a Kang, Seohyun never introduced him as Kang Yonghwa. Jessica had so many questions that she wanted to ask Yonghwa, but what worried Jessica was how Yuri and Seohyun would take the news.

With everyone already at the dinner table, the Jungs had dinner with Kang Ho Dong and Yonghwa. Everything appeared to be fine yet it was only because Jessica chose to remain quiet and not air her thoughts about Yonghwa.

 

 

“Mr. Jung, thank you for meeting us at such short notice but I hope we could come into terms with the sale of your Jung Pharmaceuticals.” Kang Ho Dong suddenly aired out his thoughts while everyone else was trying to enjoy dinner.

 

 

Mr. Jung sighed and looked at his wife; Mrs. Jung understood what Mr. Jung was hoping she would do. After wiping with the table napkin, Mrs. Jung got up from her seat. Jessica and Krystal were both confused, as far as they knew their company was never for sale and even the slightest idea of selling the company never once occurred in their father’s mind.

 

 

“Jessica honey, Krystal dear, could you accompany me to the ladies room.” Mrs. Jung asked, Krystal and Jessica could barely do anything other than to accompany their mother.

Taeyeon told Tiffany about how her abduction led to Yoona’s accident, and ultimately Officer Shin’s brutal murder. Tiffany was bewildered; she learned that after Taeyeon and Sooyoung were abducted by Kang’s men, they nearly killed Yuri’s younger sister when they run her over in their haste to leave Taeyeon’s apartment building. Tiffany became even more shocked that Officer Shin’s dismissal and death were connected to Yoona’s case and his investigation of a multi-million drug operation involving Kang.

 

 

“Taeyeon, tell me why did Officer Shin tell Yuri everything? Why didn’t he ask help from the Prosecutor’s office?” Tiffany asked after processing everything that Taeyeon told her. She didn’t quite understand why a cop would tell an average individual sensitive information.

 

 

“Because only a fool would believe that there’s still justice in this city. Officer Shin was a good cop, and because he was a good cop, his superiors had to put him down. Ms. Hwang, you have to wrap this around your head; Kang Ho Dong has the police and a few people in the government on payroll. Officer Shin was well aware of that fact. He didn’t have anyone else to trust except people like Yuri and me.” Taeyeon slowly got up; Tiffany remained seated as her eyes followed Taeyeon.

 

 

Taeyeon breathed in the cold night air, her eyes were still read and all the pain and sadness that she desperately wanted to keep hidden surfaced because of her conversation with Tiffany. Taeyeon managed to toughen herself up and not think about everything she went through but she never expected that she had to talk about it again. Taeyeon sadly looked up at the starlit sky and lets out a deep sigh that only told of her pain.

 

 

“I think we’ve got nothing else to talk about, right Ms. Hwang? I’ll be going now.” Taeyeon turned away from Tiffany, and before the latter could utter anymore words Taeyeon started walking away with her hands in her jacket’s pocket.

 

 

Taeyeon went home, but not to where she once lived with her family and Sooyoung. She gave up that home; she couldn’t withstand being in her old home. How could she possibly endure living there when she constantly remembers everyone she’s lost? After she met Yuri and Jessica; Taeyeon left the apartment with only a picture of her loved ones and a few clothes and Sooyoung’s car. She began to stay Yuri and even began working at her café. Taeyeon made many changes in her life after losing her family, aside from changing her address and work, Taeyeon joined Yuri and Jessica as they take justice into their own hands.

“I’m home…” Taeyeon aired out as she entered the house. She thought that she would be greeted by Seohyun but it appears she wasn’t around.

 

 

Taeyeon glanced at the clock and found that it’s almost 11 P.M.

 

 

“Where is that maknae? It’s so unlike her to be out late on a school night.”

 

 

Taeyeon went to check Seohyun’s room but found that she wasn’t there. Increasingly worrying about where the youngest Kwon was, Taeyeon fished out her phone from her pocket and sent an SMS to Yuri.

 

 

To: Shekshi KkabYul

 

 

Yul, I just came home, Maknae isn’t here yet.

Any idea where she is?

 

 

 

Yuri was at Yoona’s private ward, she was lying down on the cot provided by the hospital. It was getting late and nothing out of the ordinary happened with Yoona, the doctors earlier did an FMRI on Yoona to check her brain activity. The doctors have yet to notify Yuri about the results. While that was in the back of Yuri’s mind her phone suddenly rang. Yuri sat up and grabbed her phone which she placed on the table next to her cot.

 

 

Yuri checked her phone and found she had a new message from Taeyeon.

 

 

“What? Damn it where are you Seo?” Yuri got up from her cot and paced the room as she dialed Seohyun’s number.

 

 

“Come on Seo… pick up…” Yuri muttered as she waited for Seohyun to answer her call.

 

 

Seohyun’s phone rang…

 

 

And rang…

 

 

And rang…

 

 

Yuri grew more and more nervous, the speed at which she was pacing around the room hastened. Thoughts mostly negative filled her head.

 

 

“Come on Seo… pick up!” Yuri muttered as her freehand clenched into a fist. Seohyun’s phone rang one more time…

 

 

“H-hello… *hic~* u-ugh *hic~* Who co-could this be?” A rather drunk maknae finally answered.

 

 

“Yah! KWON SEOHYUN! Where the hell are you?! And YAH! Why the hell are you drunk?!!” Yuri screamed into the phone.

 

 

“Y-Yuri unnie?! Ah… I’m...” Yuri’s loud and angry voice was like a bucket of ice cold water. The flustered maknae barely made any sensible reply due to sheer surprise.

 

 

“KWON SEOHYUN! You better tell me where you are or so help me god I’m going to burn your Keroro collection and that autographed picture of Johnny Depp!!!” Yuri snorted.

 

 

“No! Don’t do that unnie! I’m at Tinkerbell’s, uhhmm… that bar and grill near the university.” Seohyun nearly cried at the thought of Yuri burning her Keroro collection and her most prized possession; Johnny Depp’s autographed picture (for comedy’s sake let’s just say that Johnny was in his Jack Sparrow outfit lol).

 

 

Yuri hissed and clicked her tongue. She was extremely disappointed at Seohyun.

 

 

“Stay there, I’ll inform Taengoo and ask her to pick you up, we’ll talk about this tomorrow Seo.” Yuri massaged her temple and tried to calm herself down.

 

 

“Okay… unnie.” Seohyun weakly replied.

 

 

Yuri ended her call and sent Taeyeon an SMS.

 

 

To: Dork byunTaeng

 

 

Seo’s drunk. Taengoo can you please pick her up?

She’s at Tinkerbell’s.

 

 

Taeyeon’s phone rang; she was slurping down on a cup of ramen. She took a glance at her phone and saw the notification.

Taeyeon read the message from Yuri, a sigh left after reading the message.

 

 

“I guess it can’t be helped…”  Taeyeon took a sip of the ramen before leaving the kitchen.
