Daehyun’s Point Of View

“Sigh… When will she wake up?” Hyunki said.

“Just be more patient okay? She’ll wake up.” I told her.

“Here, I bought fresh flowers.” Kris said and put them on the table.

“Is not that fun without Minhyun huh.” L said.

“Yeah…” We all agree.

“Cheer up guys. Who knows, maybe she’ll wake up tomorrow!” Baekhyun said.

“Or maybe now! Guys come here quickly!” Hanjung said.

“What? What is it?” I asked.

“She moved her fingers just now! Maybe she can hear us!” Hanjung replied.

“Are you sure?” Hyunki asked.

“Absolutely sure!”

“Minhyun, if you can hear us, give us a sign.” I said.

But there was no movement form her, nothing.

“Sigh… I don’t think so Hanjung.” Hyunki said.

“But I really saw her moving… Wait… Minhyun!” Hanjung suddenly shouted Minhyun’s name.

It’s a miracle! Minhyun’s eyelids are opening! She is finally awake!

“Minhyun!”

“Daehyun? Hanjung? Is that you?” She asked.

“Yes, and the others are here too!” I said.

“Really? Why is it so dark in here? Daehyun, turn on the lights please.” She said.

“Minhyun, its 10am in the morning. Why do you need to on the lights?” Hyunki said.

“Minhyun… Don’t scare us.” L said.

“Daehyun, where are you?”

“I’m here.” I said, holding her hand.

“I can’t see anything!” She panicked.

“Hold on, I’ll go call the doctor!” Kris said and ran outside.

“Don’t worry Minhyun, the doctor will be here.” Baekhyun said.

“Daehyun, call her parents. Tell them she’s awake!” Hanjung said.

“Okay.” I called Minhyun’s parents and they are delighted to hear the news.

“Really? She’s awake?” Joon hyung asked.

“Yes, she is.” I said.

“Oh thank god!” I can hear Yunho hyung saying.

“But there is a problem.” I added.

“What? What is it?” Joon hyung asked.

“She can’t see.”

“What do you mean she can’t see?” Joon hyung asked.

“She can’t see us, the doctor’s on his way. Hyung, get here quick.” I said.

“Okay, I’ll be there in a few minutes.” He said and hung up.

“Doctor! You’re here, she can’t see us.” L said.

“I’ll need to do MRI scan to find out the cause of this.”

The all of us went there and waited outside the room.

“Ah, hyung! Over here!” I said when I saw Yunho hyung and Joon hyung. Minho hyung is here too.

“Where’s Minhyun?” They asked.

“Inside, having a MRI scan.” Baekhyun said.

“Why is there always trouble with Minhyun? First the accident and now this.” Joon hyung said and sighed.

The all of us kept quiet. A few moments later, the doctor came out.

“Doctor, how is my sister?” Yunho hyung asked.

“If you may now follow me to my office, I’ll explain her condition to you.” The doctor said.

We followed the doctor to his office and he explained everything to us. Apparently, there’s a congestion oppressing her optic nerve, causing her to temporary losing her sight.

“Can this be cured?” Minho hyung asked.

“This should take some time, we won’t know when will that congestion disappear.” The doctor said.

“Here Minhyun, eat this.” I said, passing an apple to her.

“Sigh… What is this? Oh an apple. Thanks Daehyun.” She said.

“It’s hard right?” Hyunki asked.

“Not to see anything? Yeah, very… I don’t know where I am supposed to go sometimes.” She said.

“Where’s omma and appa?” Joon hyung asked Yunho hyung.

“They’re on their way here.” Yunho hyung said.

“Is appa still angry?” Minho hyung asked Joon hyung.

“After the accident, he’s not. He’s worried sick about Minhyun.” Joon hyung said.

“Worry? Does he know how to worry about me? About us?” Minhyun said.

“Yah Choi Minhyun! He’s still our father!” Minho hyung said.

“I don’t have a father like him!” I can see that Minhyun hates her father very much now. I grab her hand tightly.

“You…!” Minho hyung wants to slap Minhyun but was stopped by Yunho hyung.

“Minho, no.” Joon hyung said and bought Minho hyung outside to cool down.

“Minhyun, why do you hate your father so much?” I asked.

‘He doesn’t care about us. He never cares about us.” She replied.

“Well you’re wrong Minhyun.” Yunho hyung said. “After your accident, he’s always worrying about you. He always come here, to the hospital to check on you during midnights. Although he’s angry at you, he’s angrier towards himself.”

“…..” Minhyun kept quiet.

“Think about it okay? He’s our father Minhyun ah. No matter how much you hate him, he’s still our father. A quite loving one too.” Yunho hyung said and went out to find Joon hyung.

“Minhyun, are you okay?” Baekhyun asked.

“I’m fine… Just a little tired.” She said.

“Then rest now. We’ll be going now.” Hanjung said.

“I’ll stay behind to take care of her.” I said.

“Okay, take care Minhyun.” L said.

“Daehyun ah, do you think I’m a bad daughter?” She asked.

“Minhyun, you’re a great daughter. If I am your father, I’ll be proud of you.” I said.

“Really? Too bad my own father don’t think that way.” She said.

“Minhyun!” I heard Mrs. Choi’s voice.

“Omma? Omma where are you?” Minhyun started turning around, trying to find out which direction did that voice came from.

“Your brother is right. You can’t see!” Mrs. Choi said.

“Good afternoon, sir.” I said, standing up.

“Yes, good afternoon.” Mr. Choi said. “Ehem… Daehyun, thank you for taking care of Minhyun this whole time.”

“It’s okay. It’s what I’m supposed to do.” I said. “If you’ll excuse me, I’ll leave you all and have your family time.” I bowed and went out.

Sigh… When will Minhyun recover fully? I really miss the old her. The lively and friendly her.
