Minah POV
My phone starts vibrating in the middle of economics.
“Miss Kim,” Mrs. Han says sternly from the front of the classroom. “Please turn off your phone.”
I duck my head, blushing madly. “I’m sorry,” I apologize, and take my cellphone out of my pocket.
New text from Manager Chon, my phone screen reads.
I cringe.
Crap.
I really need to read this text.
“Mrs. Han, may I please go to the bathroom?” I ask sweetly.
“If you’ve finished your cost-analysis worksheet, then yes,” she replies.
I hurriedly complete my worksheet. As soon as I'm finished I sprint to the bathroom and lock myself in a stall.
"What does Manager Chon want?" I mutter, opening her text.
You have a new gig tonight for Seoul Times Magazine. I'll pick you up at 7.

I exhale slowly. Tonight is not the night for a modeling job. I have a management test tomorrow and I really need to study…
but I know Manager Chon will never let me skip out on this opportunity. Seoul Times is a prominent magazine and if I appear in their fall issue, it’ll increase my image and I’ll become more popular.
Great. I swear, if it weren't for the fact that my family desparately needs money, I would march up to my modeling agency's office and shove a letter of resignation right in their faces.
"Guess I'm going to have to pull another all-nighter today," I groan as I exit the bathroom.
