Kai stopped you before the both of you went to your respective classes, "Remember. No talk-" 
"No talking to Kris and no skinship." You completed Kai's sentence. You have heard that sentence over a million times from Kai.
Kai sighed, "Please don't. Have fun today." Kai waved his hands in the air as he walked away.

It was going to be another day of school for you. Another day of facing Kris, and the other guys. 
Stay positive, ____, you told yourself.
Kris, on the other hand, was already sitting in class waiting for you to arrive.
Honestly, Kris knew he wasn't a decent person himself, and the whole school knew about his dirty past
A small smile appeared on Kris's face as he thought of you. 

You were decent. Nothing like him, nor the girls he has slept with. 
Most of the girls had approached him first because of his money, mainly. 
Kris hated those girls that threw themselves at him, but he can never reject them when they start stripping.
Well, since he was a guy afterall
He didn't make love with them out of love, it was more like a mix of disgust and hatred.

Kris knew for sure that you were the one that could put a stop to all this nonsense.
Kris had enough of all the discrimination. 
One problem for him now was that you are Kai's sister.
He must tell you about his past first before anyone could. He must. 
Kris looked at the clock, you were about to arrive any time now.

The moment you entered the classroom, Kris's face lit up immediately. "You're here, ____-ah!"
No, no, no, not again, you thought. You avoided Kris's gaze as he approached you.
Just as you thought he was going to put his arm on your shoulder, Kris grabbed your wrist.
"Let's talk. Me and you, only." Kris stormed out of the classroom, dragging you along with him.
"W-wha--?! Let go of me Kris!" You yelled as he pulled you along the hallway.
You were blatantly ignored as Kris swiftly made his way through the students. 
You tried pulling your hand away but to no avail, Kris had a strong grip on you. "Where are you bringing me to?!"

Fear filled your heart as everyone's warnings echoed in your mind. You didn't have a good feeling about it.
Finally, Kris stopped to a halt. He was panting from the brisk walking. 
You immediately removed your arm from his grip as it loosened. 
"What's wrong with you Kris?!" you exclaimed.
You looked around, it was in the school compound but there was no one. 
"W-where is this..?" 

Kris beamed. He was finally alone with you. 
"This is my secret hide-out. Nobody knows about it. Not even the guys." 
You were taken aback by Kris's words. "Why did you bring me here then..?"
Kris turned to look at you, "Because I like you, don't you remember?"
Kris wasn't the sort to show his emotions, but he tried his best to express his feelings to you.
You needed to know it, to save him from his misery.

"I-I.. don't." You lied.
"Do you want me to tell you again, for the third time?" Kris took a step towards you. 
Kris was so much taller than you, your height was only up til Kris's chest.
The both of you were only inches apart, and you could strongly smell Kris's cologne.
Kris laughed as you tried to avoid eye contact, "You're nervous. I could hear your heart pounding loudly."
"Its good." Kris leaned in his face closer to yours. "At least I make you nervous."

D.O and Chanyeol came rushing into the classroom. "Kai! ____...she.." They said, panting at the door. 
Kai got up from his seat. "What? What about ____?"
"People along the hallway were saying that they saw her with Kris." Chanyeol said, his face filled with worry.
"They said.." D.O continued, "Kris was pulling her by her arm, as though forcing her to go somewhere." 
Kai was burning in rage. He clenched his fists tightly as he ran out of the classroom to look for you.
"____!" Kai yelled out. The students looked at Kai oddly as he ran aimlessly. "____!" Kai yelled again.

Kai felt the pressure building up in him. Where are you, ____?! 
Kris.. Kai mentally cursed his name over and over again. 
I'm going to kill him if he's going to hurt you, Kai thought. For a moment, he couldn't think and his mind went entirely blank.
 Where could Kris have brought you to? 
Kai immediately ran to your classroom. "KRIS!" Kai shouted in anger as he barged through the door.
"WHERE IS KRIS?!" Nobody replied. 

Kai saw the guys that was always around Kris. "Where. Is. Kris?"
Chen twirled a pen in his fingers as he shrugged, "We don't know. He's probably having fun with ____. Worried for her, huh?"
"They probably would have done it already. Kris was always quick when it comes to that." Tao added, chuckling with the rest.
Kai swore he could have ripped their mouths off in that instant if not for the fact that he wanted to look for you.
"Go to hell." Kai said, slamming the door shut. 
 

* * *

"Don't come any ne-" Before you could finish your sentence, Kris's hands cupped the back of your head and he kissed your forehead.
You shut your eyes tightly, retaliating probably wouldn't have worked.
It was the first time Kris ever kissed a girl who wasn't . It even made Kris feel slightly anxious as well.
"I need to tell you about me." Kris finally said. "But before that, I'd like to tell you that.. I really like you."
You listened in silence as Kris leaned his back onto a pillar. 

"I.." Kris started to say. "Do you know why your brother doesn't want you to come near me?"
You shook your head. It has always been a mystery to you. 
"Because.. I've slept with more than 20 girls in my whole life." Kris said. 
You couldn't believe your ears, never had you thought Kris was someone like that. 
Suddenly everything pieced up together like a puzzle. 
Kai.. you thought. You realized why Kai had always warned you. You felt a pang of guilt as Kai's warnings replayed in your head.
..Kai must never know about this, you thought.

"A few of the girls that I've slept with were the girls that your brother's friends liked." Kris said. 
He laughed at the memory, "They hated me so much afterwards."
Kai's friends? Did he refer to.. Chanyeol oppa? Suho oppa? ..Sehun oppa? D.O, and Baekhyun oppa?
You replayed the yesterday's memory, where you had so much fun with them. 
Seeing them hurt was the last thing you'd ever want.

"They claimed that I had seduced them, or that I had offered a high price to make them sleep with me," Kris bit on his lower lip.
"But truth is.. they came to me themselves. Because of money." 
Kris smiled. "But of course, it was also because I didn't resist them. I took whatever that just came to me."
Kris turned and looked at you. 
"But now, it's the other way round. I have to fight for someone... You."

A thousand thoughts ran through your mind. Kai, the oppas, and Kris.
Although you weren't in any of their situation, you felt the pain and sorrow they would have felt. 
Kris watched as you remained silent. "I've never told anyone this before. Not a single soul." 
Now, you viewed Kris in an entirely different light. Although he wasn't someone you should be associating with, but he has sincere feelings too.
"Keep in mind that I won't give up on you. Ever." Kris said. 

The thoughts in your head were driving you crazy, and Kris's brainwashing wasn't helping you either.
"____-ah.. Do you have anyone in mind?" Kris asked in a low, solemn voice.
Unexpectedly, the first image that appeared in your head was.. Kai.
He's your brother, ____! Snap out of it!
You shook your head as a response.
"That means I have a chance, right?" Kris placed his fingers on his lips, he couldn't contain his happiness.
Kris pulled you into a hug, "Thank you, ____. Thank you."
 

* * * 

After school, you headed home all by yourself. Kai was nowhere to be seen. 
You started to worry about Kai. Was he sick? Did he get sent home? 
While unlocking the gate, you realized Kai's school shoes was already on the front porch. 
You couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief. 
You silently made your way upstairs to see Kai's room door shut close. 
"Kai?" You knocked. This time, you weren't going to open the door without getting permission. "Kai..?"

Maybe he's sleeping, you thought. Just as you turned away, you heard the door knob unlock inside.
Kai appeared. He looks like as though he didn't sleep for days. Fatigue was written all over his face.
However, inside, he felt relieved to see that you were alright. 

"Where have you been today?" Kai said. His voice didn't have any life in it.
Your eyes roamed around nervously, you couldn't tell Kai you were with Kris. "..School."
Kai knew you were lying. It pains him to know that you would lie to him because of Kris.
He forced a smile, "Good. I'm tired. Goodnight." 

Kai closed the door shut behind him as he slid down on his back. He sat on the floor, dejected.
Why is he feeling so much pain? He didn't comprehend it. Never in his life had he felt this hurt.
He wished he could force you to tell the truth, but after worrying for the entire day, he didn't have any energy left.
It pained Kai so, so much. Kai felt warm tears on his face. 
Then it dawned upon Kai, you weren't just a sister to him.

You meant so much more to him than that.
