Episode 4: At The Café

After the five minutes of silence has now been observed, everyone went back to what they were doing.

After doing the necessary things during a death anniversary, the Imperial Family as well as those who came started leaving. Crown Prince Joon Se’s friends were saying goodbye to him.

“Hyung, If you need us, we’re at Dong Wook’s café okay?” said Seung Ryong.

“Huh! As if! If he has a problem, he’ll come to me first!” said Hyo Eun.

“Yah! Unii! No wait, Ahjuma! What’s with the attitude?!” asked Jeong Hoon.

“Aigoo! Yah! Guys! Can you keep it down?! We’re all still here remember?! (walks towards Joon Se) Hyung, heard what Seung Ryong said?” Dong Wook said as he placed his hand on his friend’s shoulder.

“Neh. I did. I’ll call you if I’ll be going there… actually, are you thinking what I’m thinking?” asked the Crown Prince.

“Hmm… Aigoo! Hyung, you’re not going to do this again are you? Aigoo! Fine! I’ll tell the others.”

Then…

“Oppa!”

It was Dong Wook’s younger sister, Song Hyun.

“Oh, Dong-saeng, what is it?” asked Dong Wook.

“Well look who’s here It’s Ms. I’m-Prettier-Than-You-Hyo Eun!” said Hyo eun sarcastically.

“Yah! Hyo Eun! Why do you keep harassing her over that?! We were all little back then!” said Jeong Hoon.

Song Hyung didn’t seem to notice her and instead, she just looked at her brother.

“Oppa, we’re leaving. Let’s go.”

“Oh um, Joon Se here is going to do that ‘thing’ again so, we’ll all be in the café. Want to come?”

“As if! I don’t want to get involve into one of those things again remember? I was so embarrassed back then!”

“Oh please! You were so scared at that time because you thought Seonho might have seen you in TV! HAhahaha!”

This makes her mad and also blush a little and so she kicks her brother’s right leg! “Yah! Oppa! What do you think will mom and dad say if they were still alive? Aish! Bye!”

She leaves them and heads for her ride.

“Hyung-neem, are you okay?” asked Hyo Eun.

“Neh. I am. That little sister of mine!”

“Um Dong Wook, who’s Seonho?” asked Joon Se.

“Oh he’s a childhood friend of ours and he works part-time in our café. He’s new there you see. He’s the same age as Song Hyun and they go to the same school as we do. I think she has a crush on him! They’ve been best friends since kindergarten you see!”

“I see. Well, let’s go!”

Dong Wook tells the others of Joon Se’s plan and they all agree since they have been doing this since the day they met. First, Joon Se told his dad that they’re just going for a walk around the area to which the Emperor agrees. As they were walking away from him : “Commander Choi, please have 5 of your men follow my son and his friends. I fear they’re going to well, you know what I mean.”

“Understood Your Majesty! Should we also station are guards in all entrances and exits?”

“Yes. Thank You. (looks at his brother and sister-in-law) Let’s go. I still have a lot of things to do.”

“Oh but Your Majesty, where’s Crown Prince Joon Se?” asked Princess Che-Rin.

“He’ll follow us so don’t worry. Dong Hwan, the documents from the KCIA, are they on my desk now?”

“Ms. Han, the Head Palace Maid told me she has already left it in your office.”

“Good. Let’s go then.”

As they started to walk, the Emperor stopped for a while and looked at his wife’s tomb.

“I swear Haewon that I would fulfill your last wish! I’ll find our lost son! I swear I will!”

Meanwhile back to Joon Se and his friends…

“Remind me how I ended up running with you guys again?” asked Hyo Eun as she tried to keep up with her friends.

“Well, no one asked you to come!” said Joon Se.

What happened actually is that when they were quite a bit far from the others, they started running towards the nearest exit! The five guards that the Emperor requested the  Commander of the Imperial Guards to follow the Crown Prince and his friends started running too in an effort to reach the Prince and his friends!

The exit that they were heading too was still unguarded and so, they were able to get out! Now, they were running across Seoul to reach Dong Wook’s café.

“Hey! Are we there yet?!” asked Hyo Eun.

“Well, I can see it from here!” said Dong Wook.

When Joon Se looked behind him, he saw that they were being followed!

“Guys! Some guys are following us! We need to lose them!” said Joon Se.

“Let’s go this way then!” said Jeong Hoon.

They turned to their right instead of going straight towards the café. Once they were in that narrow street, they saw a place where they could hide so they hid themselves there and waited for the ones following them to pass.

“Well that was close!” said Joon Se.

At the same time, at a bus station in Seoul, Kim Seonho was waiting for a bus like the others around him when his phone began to ring.

“Yoboseyo? Ah! Song Hyun!”

“Seonho! Where are you right now? Are you going to work today?”

“Neh! I’m at the bus station right now!”

“I see! I’ll be at the café to okay? Oh and my brother and his friends are also coming!”
