Episode 29: The Emperor’s Resolve

“What do you mean by that nephew?” asked Prince Dong Hwan.

“Well, Dong Wook Hyung just called JoonSe here a while and told us what happened! Don’t worry! They’re alright!”

“That’s a relief then!” said Princess Che-Rin.

“Yes that’s right! Where could those Imperial Guards assigned to them have gone to? JoonSe, get me Commander Im now! Tae Hoon, call Mr. Kwon and tell him that Mr. Shin is to pick up your foster parents and friends from the café and bring them here now. Go.”

“Araseo Ahpah!”

An hour later…

“Mr. and Mrs. Kim! It’s so great that none of you were hurt back in your house! We are very sorry for the disappearance of the Imperial Guards! The HQ don’t even know where they went!” said the Emperor.

“Mwo?! Is that true Your Majesty?! They said to us before they left that they were being replaced today so they went to their HQ. It was really strange because yesterday, they were the new ones who came! Every Friday, they get replaced! That was the instruction to us!” said Mr. Kim.

“Oemma! Ahpah! Are you both alright?!” asked a worried Tae Hoon.

“Neh, we are son! There’s nothing to worry about!” said Mr. Kim.

“And we have these two girls to thank! If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t be here right now!” Mrs. Kim was pointing at both SongHyun and HyoEun which surprised everyone!

“Eh? My little sister and HyoEun did? How?” asked Dong Wook.

“M-mwo?! Us?! B-but we didn’t do anything!” said HyoEun.

“What are you saying?! Yes you two did something! You two helped us escape those gunmen! We are both grateful to you two! SongHyun and HyoEun were both speechless!

“Really?! Wow! SongHyun! HyoEun! That’s really great of you two!” said JoonSe which instantly made HyoEun’s day because of his smile! “JoonSe Oppa!” she said in her mind.

“Then you two needs to be awarded! Hahaha!” said the Emperor which surprised the two girls!

“Your Majesty!”

“There’s no need for that! Really!”

But, the Emperor didn’t listen! “Please call for Ms. Jang Hae Sook to come!” Princess Che-Rin then went away to do what the Emperor told her to do.

“Ahpah, everyone, me and JoonSe will be going now to do what you told us to do. Excuse us!”

“Ms. Song! (she was by the door) Please Mr. and Mrs. Kim to Tae Hoon’s room so that they may rest.”

“Yes Your Majesty. This way please.”

“Ahpah, Oemma, I’ll be seeing you later okay?”

“Neh, Tae Hoon.” replied Mrs. Kim. Tae Hoon and JoonSe then proceeds to walk away now.

“Tae Hoon! I’ll come with you!” said SongHyun and so she hurriedly ran to catch up to Tae Hoon.

“JoonSe! Wait for me!” HyoEun ran towards JoonSe and went with him.

“Hey! Wait for me! Ah… Um… JoonSe! HyoEun! Aish!”

And so, it was only the Emperor and Prince Dong Hwan who was left alone.

“I cannot believe this thing happened! Those Imperial Guards! Darn it!”

“Yes, the feeling is mutual. This is just really troubling! How could those men do this in broad day light?!”

“Oh yeah! Tae Hoon, I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to get that thing you were asking me to get at your room.”

“That’s okay SongHyun! No worries!” Tae Hoon’s smile made SongHyun blush!

“Tae Hoon… Oh!” Wihout looking, she bumped into someone!

“Oh! Mianhamnida!” apologized SongHyun.

“No harm done young lady! Your Highness, good morning.”

“Oh! Commander Im! My father wants to see you.”

“Yes I know. One of the palace maids heard and told me. I shall be going now.”

Once he leaves SongHyun talks to Tae Hoon.

“Hey um Tae Hoon, how are you doing here? How’s your new life?”

“Well, it was kinda hard to adapt to at first but, I’m starting to cope up because I have JoonSe beside me to help me all the way.”

“Your Majesty, our HQ did not order for them to go back nor be replaced! As what Mr. Kim said, they have just been replaced yesterday!”

“Then this must be the work of whoever ordered them to ambush us back then, killed Mr. Im and now, tried to kill the Kims!” said Prince Dong Hwan.

“Yes, you may be right Your Highness. That is a possibility.” Then, the radio phone of the commander begins to ring. “Yoboseyo? Yes, this is Commander Im… What?! Where?!...How?!...Araseo!”

“Commader, what is it?” asked Emperor Gojo.

“It’s the Imperial Guards assigned to the Kims. They have just been found at an abandoned warehouse!”

“AND HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!!” The Emperor was furious! The Commander told him what he received to the Emperor which surprised His Majesty and the Prince!

“Gojo, what now?” asked Prince Dong Hwan.

“Mr. and Mrs. Kim will be staying here until we find a place safe for them to live. Commander Im, please tell the military to start searching for these men! This is enough! They have caused too much suffering! I WILL WIPE THEM OUT!
