Episode 16: Her Search For Him

That same Saturday night, at around 11PM, some figures were moving in the vicinity of the house of SeonHo. From all directions, the figures converged on all sides of his house. Some were on the roof, others in front of the house, on the roofs of each house on both sides. Just imagine your own house being surrounded on all sides and you’ll get a picture. Fortunately, everyone in the area was asleep.

“This is Commander Im of the Special Espionage Division of the Imperial Guards. Your Majesty, we have now surrounded the house of the target. We are currently awaiting your order for us to continue.” said the man dressed, like his fellow men in black espionage suits, through his radiophone.

“… Proceed as planned.” replied Emperor Gojo.

He along with his son, Crown Prince JoonSe was in the division’s headquarters somewhere in Seoul (which I can’t tell because it’s a secret!).

“Ahpah, are you sure this is alright?” asked JoonSe.

“Of course! This division is the pride of the Imperial Guards! They can do anything!”

“Except, search for my younger brother, yeah right! They can do anything!”

“As if you yourself was able to achieve anything with the task I gave you!”

JoonSe just pouted after hearing what his father said!

“Understood Your Majesty!... Men! Begin infiltration!”

A soon as he ordered that, his men all searched for possible openings and finally found one: an open window on the second floor of the hose which may have been forgotten. They all entered through that and from there, they searched for SeonHo’s room. They found it eventually on the other side of the floor.

SeonHo was sleeping on his bed with his arms lying on different positions while his mouth is wide open with some drool on its side.

“Are you sure the Emperor thinks this is his younger son, Imperial Prince Tae Hoon?” asked one of the men.

“Who knows!” replied the one he asked.

“Hey you two! We have a mission to fulfill here you know!  Now then, what are the things we need to extract?”

“Three things Commander Im: First, a strand of hair, some of his saliva and then a sample of his blood.” said Sgt. Song, a woman.

“I see. Begin extraction!”

While the extraction was going on, some were guarding the room from the outside to make sure they aren’t discovered. After a while, they were done.

“Move out!”

The next week finally came. That Sunday, SeonHo went to his part-time job in Dong Wook’s café. Once he arrived, he immediately told him to just avoid whatever HyoEun might tell him.

That night, somewhere in one of Gangnam-gu’s rich residential areas…

“DARN IT!!! I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!”

Then, steps could be heard outside of the screamer’s room.

“Miss HyoEun! Is everything okay?!” asked a woman.

Then, a familiar voice suddenly asks her: “HyoEun! What happened there?!”

“Oh! Um… Ahpah! Aniyo! Nothing! I just saw something scary while surfing the Internet! It’s noting to be worried about!”

Outside her room…

“Ms. Lee, please go back to what you were doing.”

“Yes Sir. Kang.”

The woman bowed and went back downstairs.

“What’s going on here?” It was Ms. Kang, HyoEun’s mom.

“Nothing dear. HyoEun said she just saw something scary while surfing the Internet. Go back to our room now and rest. We have a huge day tomorrow!”

“Araseo but wait, did you just hear from Dong Wook?”

“What do you mean?”

“That our daughter did something bad to one of his employees which he has already considered as his younger brother. Also, he was a less fortunate.”

“WHAT?! That’s it!” Mr. Kang banged his fists on HyoEun’s door.

“KANG HYOEUN!!! WHAT IS THIS I HEARD ABOUT FROM DONG WOOK?! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO CHANGE!!!”

HyoEun, in order for her not to hear her father yelling at her, just put on her headphones and turned up the volume of the song she was listening into: “Miss A’s Touch”.

“Aish! Kim SeonHo! How will I have my next revenge in you? You poor brat! Aish! I know! I’ll attack him and his own family! Let’s see where he lives…”

That whole night, she devoted herself into finding SeonHo’s home address and finally on 12 midnight exactly…

“I FOUND IT!!!”

The next day at the palace…

“We’ll have you informed once the results are out Your Majesty.”

“Good then. You may go.”

The Emperor then walks towards his desk where a picture frame stands and in it is a picture of the once complete Imperial Family.

“My dear Haewon, please, please make this time be the right one. I hope we finally found our little Tae Hoon…” As he can’t take it anymore, he finally sheds a tear.

Unknown to him, JoonSe was looking through his father’s slightly opened door.

“Ahpah…”

Classes were cancelled the next day due to the excessive downpour of the rain.

“Miss HyoEun! Where are you going?!” asked Ms.  Lee.

HyoEun was putting on her jacket and got herself an umbrella. “I’m going somewhere.”

“Then take the car!”

“I can’t have someone follow me! I’ll be back okay! Annyeong Ahjuma!” She then leaves a very worried Ms. Lee.

“Miss HyoEun!!!”

HyoEun then takes a bus which was headed for Gangseo-gu. Once she arrives there, she gets off the bus and then boards a taxi.

“Take me to this address Ahjeossi and fast.”

In the strong rain and almost flooded streets, the taxi drove on. Once they got to the area of SeonHo’s house (a little bit far though), the driver couldn’t take it anymore because of the zero visibility.

“Young lady, please get out now. I can’t possibly take you any farther anymore.”

“Wae?! Ahjeossi! I paid you already!”

“And you can have it back! I’m going home so get out now!” He quickly gives he back the money she paid him.

“Aish! This is not happening! Aniyo! I’m staying!”

“Aish! Yah! That’s it!”

The driver then steps out of his taxi and forcibly drags HyoEun outside!

“YAH! YAH! AHJEOSSI!!!” The taxi then left her behind in the middle of the road!

“I can’t believe this! (opens up her umbrella and then takes out her phone) Good thing I saved that brat’s address on my phone! Now, time to start looking for his house.”

She immediately goes to check each and every house on the street she was on eventually moving on to the next street getting wet on the process because strong winds starts to howling combined with the downpour of the rain.

“This blasted rain! Aish! Where could that brat’s house be?!”

Then, she hears a familiar voice!

“Oemma! Are you sure?!”

She turns around to see a young man wearing a yellow raincoat. Hyoeun’s eyes widens!

“Neh! The garbage truck’s not coming today due to this weather! Come back inside here before you get wet!”

“Araseo! I’m…”

“Kim SeonHo! I finally found you!”

SeonHo turns around and is stunned to see HyoEun!

“No way! HyoEun?!”
