Episode 28: HyoEun And SongHyun Saves The Kims

Saturday, 8 AM, Kang Residence.

“Hmm, I haven’t properly thanked Mr. and Mrs. Kim yet for the other day. Might as well as go thank them now.” HyoEun then proceeded to go out of the house when…

“HyoEun dear! Where are you going?” asked Mrs. Kang.

“Oh um, to the Kim Residence.”

“Mwo? Why?”

“Oh I’m just going to thank them for something the other day. I’ll be off now Oemma!”

“Thank them for what?”

“Just something! Annyeong!”

“Then take the car! Call our driver!”

“Araseo!”

The same time, Ryu Residence.

“Yah Oppa! I’m going now!”

“Wait! I told you wait for me! I said I’ll be dropping you at the Kims on my way to our café! W=SongHyun, why are you going there anyway?”

“Because, Tae Hoon told me last night to get something from his room. He couldn’t do it because he has a lesson for today.”

“I see. Well, let’s go now!”

Later, at the Kim Residence, it was HyoEun who arrived first but, she stepped out at the northern end of the street of the house and told her driver to pick her up once she calls him; SongHyun on the other hand drops out of her brother’s car on the other end of the street of the house. Once both cars leave, the two girls starts walking towards the house until they saw each other.

“HyoEun? What is she doing here?”

“SongHyun? Hmm…”

They approach each other in front of the Kim house.

“Unni, what are you doing here?” asked SongHyun.

“Wow” It’s been a long time since you called me that! How about you?”

“I asked you first Unni.”

“Hahaha! Araseo! I’m here to thank Mr. and Mrs. Kim for the hospitality they gave me the other day, the day when Tae Hoon was called to the Palace because he was the missing Prince. I was here back then to really do something bad to him but, since I was so wet back then because of the rain, he and his parents took care of me and then, I found out he’s the cousin of my former best friend, Yunjae. He and Yunjae look so much alike together.”

“Ah Yunjae! I only met him once! Yeah you’re right! He and Tae Hoon look so much alike!”

“Oh! Honey! We have visitors! It’s SongHyun and HyoEun! Come in you two! Please make yourselves at home!” It was Mr. Kim!

“Kamsahamnida Ahjeossi!” The two girls quickly went inside the house where they sat at the sofa.

“Oh! SongHyun! And HyoEun! Just wait there and I’ll be bringing you girls something to drink!”

“Araseo! Kamsahamnida!”

Meanwhile at a nearby recently abandoned house, a pair of binoculars is pinted at the Kims’ house.

“So um Mr. Kim, I thought the Imperial Guards are guarding you guys? Where are they?” asked SongHyun.

“Oh them? They said they were being ordered back to their HQ to be replaced by a new batch. But it’s strange though.”

“Why’s that?” asked HyoEun.

“Well, it’s just that they would only get replaced every Friday. They just got replaced yesterday.” said Mrs. Kim.

“That is strange.” said SongHyun.

“Well, I do hope they come back quickly. Who knows what might happen.”

“Dear, do you think they’re at their HQ already?”

At an abandoned warehouse somewhere in the outskirts of Seoul…

“Sir, we have the Imperial Guards assigned to the Kims all captured!”

“Good! Now then, initiate Phase Two!”

“Roger that! (the man keeps his phone) Order the assault team to execute the plan now!” One of them quickly calls one of the men stationed at the recently abandoned house near the Kims. The receiver gets the message and so orders his men to start! They all went outside, boarded a van and went quickly in front of the Kims’ house and started firing their guns!

“Everyone! DOWN!” Mr. and Mrs. Kim, SongHyun and HyoEun all crouched down to avoid getting hit by the bullets!

“What the heck is going on here?! Who’s doing this?!”

“We need to escape!” shouted HyoEun.

“But how?! We can’t just go into another neighbor’s house! We don’t want them to get involved into this!” shouted Mrs. Kim.

“I know! Ahjuma, do you remember that time when… Waaah! when SeonHo was grounded and then you were both surprised to see him outside later that afternoon?!”

“Yah! This is not the time to be telling stories!” shouted HyoEun.

“Why?! What about it?!”

“Well, we escaped through his room’s window and then hopped from one roof to another!”

Mr. and Mrs. Kim and HyoEun were speechless!

“Don’t tell me we’re doing that!” shouted HyoEun.

“Well, we have no choice! Come on girls! We need to get upstairs and fast! The gunmen might come inside!”

Since that’s their only option, they agreed to it and started to crawl towards the staircase; once they reched it, they quickly ran upstairs and into SeonHo’s room where they opened the window and then… JUMPED into the neighbor’s roof! When it was HyoEun’s turn: “When I said we need to escape, I didn’t mean by this way! I cannot possibly jump!”

“Oh come on now HyoEun! Leave your ridiculous high heels beside so you can jump! Come on now!” shouted SongHyun.

“HyoEun dear! We’re friends with the people in this house and I’m sure they would let us through their home! We need to go now!”

“A-araseo! I can’t believe I’m leaving this behind!”

“Well you could always carry them! COME ON!”

HyoEun took off her high heels and then jumped towards the others!

“See! You could do it!” said SongHyun.

“Oh shut up!”

“What now?” asked Mrs. Kim.

The gunmen has stopped firing into the house and they have started coming out of their van. The neighbors were all scared to go out but, one of them dials and calls the police to come.

“Well, we can’t obviously stay here! We need to reach the end of this row of houses until we reach the other street! Let’s go!” So, they continued hopping from one house to another and everytime they were seen by their neighbor, the Kims explained and they understood. Finally, they reached the other street and ran for their lives!

“Where do we go from here?!” asked SongHyun.

“I’ll call my driver to pick us up!” said HyoEun.

“There’s no time for that! I know! SongHyun! How about we go to your café? said HyoEun.

“Sure! Let’s go then!”

“I’ll start calling my driver then to pick us up!”

The gunmen then enter the house and finds that their targets are not there!

“We need to find them! Move out!” They board their van again and started searching for Mr. and Mrs. Kim!

It was a while before SongHyun and the others arrived at a bus stop which was a little far from the Kims’ house. Hyoeun’s driver finally arrived and they were off to Dong Wook’s café. Meanwhile, the gunmen were still searching for their targets when their “boss”called.

“Yoboseyo?” answered one of them.

“Were the targets disposed already? Knowing you guys, you must have done so! Hahaha!”

“Ah sir, well, not this time. They escaped but we’re currently looking for them now so… sir? Yoboseyo?”

“… WHAT?!!! YOU INSOLENT FOOLS!!! IDIOTS!!! AISH! FIND THEM NO MATTER WHAT!!!”

“Sir, yes sir!”

At Dong Wook’s café…

“SongHyun! And HyoEun?! Oh! Mr. and Mrs. Kim! Annyeong Hasaeyo! Why are you all here and together? This is a strange bunch!”

They all explained to Dong Wook what just happened to them and he couldn’t believe it!

At the same time, the police has already arrived at the Kims’ house and started investigating. Their HQ called the Palace at same time as Dong Wook called JoonSe.

“What?!... Araseo. Kamsahmnida!”

“Your Majesty! What just happened?!” asked Princess Che-Rin.

“The house of the Kims have just been shot several times in an attempt to kill Tae Hoon’s foster parents! Fortunately, they were able to escape but as of now, they are still missing.”

“That is bad! Wait, but where are the Imperial guards assigned to them?!” asked Prince Dong Hwan.

“Honey! Where were you all this time?” asked Princess Che-Rin.

“I was just looking for something in the library. It’s nothing dear.”

“Ahpah!” It was JoonSe and Tae Hoon!

“Ahpah, Mr. and Mrs. Kim’s house have just been…”

“I know what happened. The police just called us. They are still missing, I’m sorry Tae Hoon. I promise that I’ll find them no matter what!” said Emperor Gojo.

“Find them? Oh! The police told you that they’re missing? Aniyo! They’re at Dong Wook’s café with my best friend SongHyun and JoonSe’s friend HyoEun! They just arrived there!”
