During lunch, you hung out with Eunha and asked how her day was. 

"Ehh... Boring as always. Yours?" She sighed. You shook your head, telling her that your day was also boring.

Just then, you saw Kai's friends and Yoomi walking by, and instanty you wanted to tell Eunha about what happened yesterday. I guess I can trust her.

"I'm going to tell you something, but promise me you won't tell anyone alright?" You whispered.

Eunha's eyes widened. She knew she was going to get some juicy gossip about Kai and Baekhyun. She grinned and quickly nodded her head.

You told her from when you started living with Kai and Baekhyun all the way to meeting Kris.

"Woahh." Eunha stared at you surprised. "Your life is so exciting. Why can't I have a life like that."

"Exciting?" You stared at her in disbelief. You expected her to feel sorry for you.

"Yeahh, duh! I mean, who wouldn't want to be you right now. You," She pointed at you, "are the most luckiest girl on this planet. You get to sleep and eat in the same house as the Kingkas of the school. They take care of you and everything too! How lucky is that?! And not only that, you have a hot guy walking you home, Baekhyun that cares for you, and from the look of it, Kai might even like you too! Wait...that's like 3 guys liking you! Oh my god! ______ why can't I be you? Let's switch lives yeah?"

You facepalmed and stared at her. "Eunha...you're missing the point. I don't want to live like this. I want my old life back. They don't like me, and I don't really like them either. I'm trying not to get too attached to them before something bad might happen."

"Whatever ______. You don't even know how lucky you are." Before Eunha could finish, the bell rung, and you headed to class.

As you sat down in your math class, someone slipped a note onto your desk. You looked and met eyes with Baekhyun. He gave you a look that said not to mention this to anyone. The moment he sat down in his usual seat, you opened up the note immediately. 

Go straight to our house. Don't make me find you. -Bacon

You couldn't help but snicker at the nickname he gave himself in the note. You glanced in his direction, but he was too busy talking with another classmate to notice. Your face fell, but you quickly resumed your smile and directed your attention to the front of the classroom where your teacher was talking. 

The rest of the day flew by fast and before you knew it, the school day had ended. Remembering the note Baekhyun had given you, you immediately headed home. As soon as you had opened the door with your key , you felt it slam shut and Kai was right in your face . He looked pissed .

He punched the door next to you and snarled. "WHAT the hell were you thinking? Going up to us, talking to US? Know your place. Just cause you're living with us doesn't give you any privileges. In school, anywhere else, we have no relationship between each other. Got it?!"

"I .. I just wanted t-"

"Wanted to WHAT ? Make friends with us ? Oh yeah , let's be the best of friends and go shopping and have fun together !" Kai said , his tone oozing with sarcasm .

"I'm sorry .." You said looking down . You couldn't bring yourself to make eye contact with him .

"IS THAT ALL THAT YOU CAN SAY? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? ANSWER ME."

You couldn't even form any words as your back slid down the door . You wrapped your arms around your knees and started sobbing loudly , completely forgetting that Kai was in front of you . You started rocking back and forth , sniffling and trying to dry away your tears . Kai was frozen , he couldn't believe he actually made you cry with a small action like that . He just wanted you to stay away from him because of all the drama all three of you were going to get in if Yoomi had known you were staying at his house .

"H-Hey , don't cry ." Kai reached down and tried to wipe away your tears , but you slapped his hand away and stood up , running into your room . Kai couldn't help but feel a heavy pain in his heart as he saw you reject his action and run away .

Do you really hate me that much ?

At the same moment , Baekhyun walked out of his room , marching right up to Kai and landing a solid punch in his face .

"What the hell is wrong with you ?!" He growled . Kai just looked down and didn't say anything.

"Learn your place before making other girls cry ."

Baekhyun harshly bumped into Kai's shoulder as he left the house , closing the door with a slam .

It was Saturday when you woke up to Baekhyun shaking you .

"Hey wake up ."

You didn't want to deal with anything at the moment so you just shook him off and plopped back in bed . Baekhyun let out a frustrated sigh and continued shaking you .

"Wake up ! I'm taking you shopping today . You need new clothes don't you ?" 

Unwilling , you opened your eyes one by one and saw Baekhyun hovering above you . You puffed up your cheeks and frowned before turning over and covering yourself with the blanket . He groaned again and just continued to shake you , even though he knew you weren't going to budge .

"Fine . If you're going to play that way , I'm not letting you borrow my clothes anymore , and neither is Kai ."

When he left the door , you jumped up and made sure it was locked before jumping back in bed and screaming out all of your frustrations. You made fun of Kai, called him names , and  just yelled whatever came to mind . You didn't care if they were in the house , you just had to let it all out , all your stress and pain from having no friends , your appa's illness , just everything . 

In the meantime , while you were screaming all your feelings out , Kai was sitting in the living room in his usual spot , watching TV when he had heard you go off in the room . Every time you yelled out his name , he couldn't help but flinch at the harsh words that followed . After that night , he had felt immensely guilty , but , although he felt bad for doing so , he knew he couldn't apologize . It would only make attachments between the two of you and that was the last thing he needed on his mind . 

Baekhyun , who had just gotten out of the shower , also flinched at the volume of your screaming . He quickly put on a shirt and headed over to where Kai was . 

Kai noticed where his housemate was heading for and quickly jumped over to the other seat , still terrified of what happened yesterday . His eye had turned a yellowy purple , and it definitely wasn't a pretty sight .

"Are you going anywhere today ?" Baekhyun asked casually , taking the remote and lounging back in the chair .

"No ."

"Good . I need you to stay here with  _______ ."

Kai gave a scoff . "And why do I have to stay with her ?" 

Baekhyun continued watching TV and munching on his chips . "I needa buy her clothes , but she refuses to get up , so I'm taking Yoomi instead ."

Kai raised an eyebrow . "And what are you going to tell her when she asks you why you're buying girl clothes ?"

Baekhyun shrugged . "My cousin ? I don't know ."

"Whatever , good luck ."

".... Thanks Kai ."

Kai turned around , and saw Baekhyun smiling at him . At that moment , he couldn't help but grin back . As if on cue , the two immediately leaned forward and gave each other a brotherly hug . It was at times like these that Kai knew he could always depend on his other half , his best friend , his brother .

"OPPA! I want to buy this , come here , watch me try this on ."

Baekhyun sighed for the millionth time as Yoomi dragged him once again to another dress shop . He had been at the mall with her for two hours already , and he still wasn't able to get anything for you .

"Tada ! How about this one ?" Yoomi asked as she exited the dressing room in her tenth outfit . Baekhyun let out an annoyed sigh . "It looks the same as the last one you tried on ."

"Aniyaaa ! Can't you see ? It's a different belt and pair of jeans . Gosh , Hyunnie , why are you so down today ?" She gave a pout and tried to look like she was sulking . For some reason , Baekhyun didn't find it as cute as he did on other days .

"Look , can't we just do what we were supposed to do in the first place ? We're supposed to be buying clothes for my cousin , NOT for you ."

"Aish fine ." Yoomi wrinkled her nose and went back into the dressing room to change into her regular clothes . When they exited the shop , she immediately started complaining .

"Why are you even buying clothes for her ?"

"She's going overseas for school , and my mom thought it would be nice to buy her some new clothes ."

"Mwoh ? Then why did you bring me along ?"

"You have good taste , don't you baby ?"

Yoomi pondered for awhile , and grinned widely . "I do ! Come on , let's buy her the best clothes ever !" She grabbed Baekhyun's hand and again dragged him into more shops .

Please let this day be over soon .. He thought .

You felt the bedroom door open and your bed shift . You looked up to see at least ten different shopping bags on your bed , with Baekhyun holding a couple more .

"You bought all this , for me ..?" You asked carefully .

"Y-Yeah . I told you you needed more clothes right ? But you didn't wanna come along , so I just bought whatever . Here ."

He put the rest of the bags down and immediately left the room .

"Thank you Baekhyun oppa !" You shouted as he left , even though you were sure he couldn't hear you , but , he did , and his heart did a small flip flop .
