I was trying to catch up with Sunggyu to accompany him when I receive a text message from Eunye. It's just a short one, telling me that she is at the nearby park and I can reach there in minutes.
I wonder why she tells me where she is but my heart can't hold the urge to see her. It sounds ridiculous and, no matter how hard Sunggyu has told me to surpress my feeling for her, I still harbor this special feeling for Eunye.
Maybe I barely know her like Sunggyu or Hoya knows her but I know this feeling and I don't want to deny it.
Eunye is not the most extra ordinary girl I ever met. She is not really pretty but there is something about her that captivates me whenever I look at her.
I don't know whether it is because of her eyes or her smile. I don't know if I just love to hear her voice. I don't know if I just want to be close to her.
I just know that I have fallen for her.
My eyes find Eunye and Sunggyu, standing face to face with such a close distance. I call out their names, feeling curious about what they're doing together, "Gyu Hyung? Eunye? What are you two doing here?"
Eunye approaches me with her sweet smile that makes my heart to skip a beat. I swear I'll do everything to make her smile like this forever, only for me.
"Hyung, what happened to your hair?" Sunggyu's hair catches my attention because something is definitely wrong with his hair. "Your hair is a mess. You need to wash it or I will laugh you for the whole night."
Sunggyu groans and then gives an idea to go back to my apartment but another thought has crossed my mind when I look at Eunye.
Maybe this is the right time.
"Wish me luck, Gyu Hyung!" I whisper to my childhood friend who is actually two years older than me and walk away with Eunye since I want to walk her back.
"Eunye, are you close with Sunggyu Hyung?" I open up a conversation as I walk side by side with her. I can feel my heart beats faster by every second just by admiring her smile.
"Not really," she answers, intertwining her fingers together and puts them near her lips. She glances at me, pouting her lips cutely, "Why, Oppa?"
"Ah, just curious," I rub the back of my neck nervously. Why am I so nervous? It's not the first time I'm alone with her!
"Is it possible that...," she steps faster so she can stand right in front of me, making me to stop right on my feet, "...you're jealous, Oppa?"
"Eh?" I blink. I never even thought of that word before. Should I be jealous because of Sunggyu? "Ah, no. It's not like that. I just-"
I stop when she suddenly drops her gaze and sighs with disappointment, "Ah... I should have known it..."
She turns around and continues to walk, leaving me behind. She murmurs something that I dont't hear but I can sense that her mood is down all of a sudden.
"Eunye?" I call her but she ignores me. I call her name once again, starting to worry that she is mad at me.
Wait, why is she mad at me?
"Eunye, wait," I reach out my hand to stop her, holding her hand gently. She stops and looks at me with sad eyes. "Why... What's wrong, Eunye? Did I say something wrong? Eunye?"
"No, it's not your fault," she shakes her head slowly, dropping her gaze reluctantly. "It's just... I had my hope high to think that, well, you're jealous for me."
Is this a really good sign for me? Can I confess to her now? Is this the right time?
I cup her left cheek with my right hand so she looks up and our eyes meet. I know that Sunggyu has warned me but I don't want to let this chance slip away.
"Eunye," I caress her cheek, "I really, really, really like you."

"I really, really, really like you."
I finally hear the words that I have been predicted would come from his mouth. The words that I've been planning to hear since three weeks ago and I hear them now.
I hold my urge to smile widely because I have taken a step closer to the finish line of my 'assignment'. I'm proud of myself because I don't let Sunggyu to interfere with my plan.
Or at least it looks like that up until this moment.
"Can I...," I fake a cough, biting my bottom lip as a shy act. "Is it alright if I'm happy, Oppa?"
This kind of personality is indeed not my favorite but I think Woohyun likes the type of shy girl, the one who can put cute expression and so on. A girl who is definitely not me.
However to finish this 'assignment' perfectly, I need to swim deep into this act. There are times I feel guilty but I keep reminding myself that I need to do this.

"Please do," Woohyun smiles and takes my hand. He kisses it and I can see his blushing cheeks, "I will be the happiest man on Earth if you're happy because of me."
This man surely knows how to flatter a girl. Unfortunately I'm not the type of girl who loves to hear sweet words and falls for a man this easy.
"Then I'll be the happiest woman if I'm with you," I embrace his hand. "Oppa... I... I like you..."
This is not the first time I speak those words but I think I'm getting better in acting. I should consider to work as an actress in the future, shouldn't I?
Woohyun smiles and intertwines our fingers together. He doesn't say anything but he continues walking, heading to my apartment building. I choose to purse my lips, waiting for him to say something.
This is not what I plan. Why doesn't he say anything?
"Here we are," Woohyun stops when we have reached our destination. He still holds my hand and he looks at me with a warm smile, "Thank you for tonight, Eunye."
He leans closer and I close my eyes, waiting for his lips to touch mine. This should be what happened next in my scenario but his lips never touch mine.
He plans a kiss on my forehead and then pulls away as I open my eyes, "Good night, Eunye. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Ah, good night, Oppa...," I force a smile and then wave to him. He gives me a sign to get inside and I turn around, looking back once again to find that he is still standing there, waiting for me to get inside safely.
I press the button, waiting for the elevator. I puff my cheeks and groans, "That's all? Seriously?"
I finally remember that I just realized something that I forgot because my mind was occupied by Woohyun.
"Aish! Hoya!" I gasps in panic, knowing that he must be waiting for me right now.

I check my wristwatch once again and heave a sigh before leaning my back against the cold wall, "Where is she?"
The bag of ingredients is still in my hand and I'm starting to feel sleepy. I know I can give her a call to check how she is doing but I'm afraid that I will interrupt her conversation with Sunggyu.
I know she doesn't want to be alone with Sunggyu but she leaves me no choice. Since I'm the one who suggested her to hate him at the first place, I think I'm responsible to reverse their friendship back once again.
After waiting for another ten minutes, Eunye finally shows up. She rushes to my side, right next to the door into her apartment and clasps her hands, "I'm sorry, Hoya!"
"It's alright," I straighten my body and show her the bag. "Your stuff. I'll put them in the kitchen. Come on."
She puts the key in the hole and opens the door for me. We step inside and she takes off her shoes with a cheerful smile on her face.
"Something good happened?" I ask her as I walk to the kitchen and put the ingredients to the proper place. Who knows that Sunggyu can be the reason for her to smile tonight.
"Yes, something really good," she throws herself on the couch. "I'm a step closer to finish my 'assignment'!"
I stop my movement, letting the refrigerator to be opened. I leave the remaining ingredients on the table and rush to the main room, "What do you mean?"
She looks at me with a wide grin, "Woohyun just confessed to me. Three weeks and I got him now."
I feel the uneasy feeling engulfs my heart when I know the reason behind her smile. I take a deep breath and look at her, "Tell me, Eunye, why do you even need to break Woohyun's heart?"
Her smile disappears and she looks away from me, "It's confidential. I can't tell you."
"Fine," I take a sit next to her. "Then tell me something..."
She glances at me, knowing perfectly that I will not let this conversation to end without a good explanation.
"Why do you hate Sunggyu?"
