I flip the document to read the second page of the rules for the dance competition. The first week will be the schedule for intense training and the competition will start next week.
Writing down some points on the paper, my mind is currently wandering somewhere else. Eunye and Woohyun are not with us. They go together while I'm staying with Hoya, Hyuna, and the students.
The briefing has started thirty minutes ago and I need to stay until the training is done... which means I need to hold on for six hours.
After the eleven hours flight, we dropped by the hotel to check in first. It's decided that I would be the one who accompanied the students today while Eunye would have her part tomorrow.
It's not that I'm jealous of Woohyun. At least I think so. For the past five days, I actually think a lot about what Eunye said to me before we agreed to go to London.
"It's not me who you are looking for, Sunggyu."
Afterwards she did what I asked. She never asked me to stop but my heart started to feel the doubt even though I was alone with her. I started to think if my request is actually a good idea.
"Thank you, Hyung," Hoya taps my shoulder, smiling politely. "What should we do without you?"
Hyuna flashes me a smile and approaches the students to socialize the rules I've written down in Korean. Hoya stays right next to me, looking at them without a word.
"Looks like you and Eunye are having a better relationship lately," he starts a topic. "It's good to know it, Hyung."
I glance at him. Does he have any idea that Eunye actually has a crush on him or he just pretend that he knows nothing because he doesn't want to break their friendship?
Come to think of it, Eunye told me two days ago that she won't talk with Hoya until her heart was settled. She didn't want to mess herself while we're in London.
I don't think they talked when we're on the plane as well. She even chose to talk with me instead of looking at Hoya.
Both of them are actually making me impatient. For Eunye being so stubborn with her own decision and for Hoya being so dense; what are they two doing actually?
"Looks like you and Eunye are not being best friends like what you two always were," I retort and it's obvious that he is taken aback by my statement. "Am I right?"
The conversation is cut off because Hyuna calls Hoya over to discuss about something. When Hoya just took two steps away, I call him by name.
"Don't regret if you lose Eunye just because you think she is your best friend," I tell him honestly what's in my mind.
Hoya doesn't say anything. He looks at me with confusion before he turns to face Hyuna and the students.
I finally spoke off my thought and I feel better. It's like someone just lifted a heavy burden from my shoulder.
I really don't understand myself.

♥ Eunye ♥
"Huah, it's really beautiful!" I fasten my pace, looking at the blue sky. The sky is so clear that I can't help but to smile. "London is so great!"
Woohyun chuckles at my reaction. He approaches me and smiles, "You look like a little kid who is walking out from the house for the first time, Eunye."
"This is indeed my first time coming to London," I grin and look around, trying to find something interesting. "It's a good thing that I agreed to come here!"
"Aren't you tired? We just took the flight for eleven hours, you know," Woohyun walks side by side with me. "But you're right. It's such a shame to stay in the hotel at this moment."
Since I have slept on the plane, I'm full of energy right now. Besides I'm too excited with a new city, one of the most famous cities in the world.
"Oh, a wishing fountain!" I sqeual and rush to the beautiful fountain. There are many coins in the clear water and I will love to try tossing a coin into the fountain.
"Do you believe in the wishing fountain?" Woohyun asks, looking curious too. "I never tried this kind of thing before."
"Then we should try," I take out two coins from my bag, the change I received after taking the bus here. I hand one coin to him, "Here."
I intertwine my fingers and put them close to my lips. I close my eyes and start to think of a wish...
...but what am I wishing for?
For Hoya to return my feeling? I don't know. I don't want to make a wishful thinking; it's just going to break my heart in the end.
I open my eyes slightly and see Woohyun is also praying for something in mind. An idea crosses my mind and I quickly make a wish before I finally toss the coin into the fountain.
Seconds later, Woohyun does the same. He turns to me and asks me what I asked for.
"It's a secret," I put my index finger on my lips. "I'll tell you if my wish comes true one day!"
My wish is pretty simple.
I wish Woohyun will find his own happiness soon.

"Chocolate?" I ask Eunye while she is staring at the menu to pick a flavor. She shakes her head and tells me that she wants the coffee one. "You don't like sweets?"
"I like coffee," she replies with a wide smile. "I assume that you like chocolate then?"
I nod and order two cones of ice cream for us. We enjoy the ice cream while walking around the area and discuss about what the dance competition will look like next week.
"You know, I'm actually curious," she takes the last bite of her ice cream cone. "What wish did you make for the wishing fountain, Woohyun?"
"It's not fair that you didn't give me an answer but you asked me the same question," I and finish my ice cream. "Can't you guess it, Eunye?"
She puffs her cheeks and frowns, tilting her head aside as if she is thinking really hard just to give me a big grin two seconds later, "Nope."
I laugh and pat her head, "I just wish that you will have a beautiful birthday tomorrow. That's all."
I know it's her birthday tomorrow but I can't be with her when the day changes. When it's twelve at midnight in Seoul, it's 4 PM here since Seoul is eight hours ahead of London and I will be at the meeting for upcoming vocal competition.
When I return, I know I'm not going to be the first person who greets her the birthday greeting so I really hope that she will enjoy her birthday here even without me around at the time.
It must be difficult for Eunye to stay between me, Sunggyu, and Hoya at the same time. Though I'm glad she still treat me as a friend, I will be lying if I say that I feel alright with this situation.
Eunye is standing right in front of me but I know that her heart belongs to someone else. She is so far yet so close. It's like I'm trying to reach for the star.
"Woohyun...," she murmurs my name with sad gaze and I immediately regret telling her what my wish is; she must feel guilty now. "I'm sor-"
"Don't," I stop her from apologizing, forcing a smile. "Why should you be sorry because I love you, Eunye?"
She bites her bottom lip and drops her gaze. Looking at her like this, I really want to hold her and tell her that it's alright. Ironically I feel that tears are forming on my eyes now.
I step closer to her and bend down, resting my forehead on her left shoulder, trying really hard to prevent my tears from falling, "Let me stay like this. Just for a moment."
She stays still for seconds before she suddenly takes steps forward and buries her face on my chest. She doesn't say anything, letting me to have her in my hug.
My heart hurts.
Is it because I'm loving someone who doesn't love me back? Is it because I know she doesn't see me the way I see her even though she is hugging me? Is it because she's with me but her heart isn't?
My heart is wishing for her...
...and that's what makes me feel this way.
For the first time in my life, I really wish that time will stop for us so I don't need to let her go.

Choi Eunye, the original character, who was actually an innocent girl who stopped believing in love the moment her first love broke her heart. She is a selfish but tough girl and, despite the fact that she is stubborn, I actually envy her character.

Lee Howon, the so-called dense and pabo Hoya, is your typical guy in real life who is insensitive and ignorant in the eyes of the girls despite his popularity. He is a guy who you can rely on as a best friend.

Nam Woohyun, the sweet guy who is loyal both for his friends and his beloved one. The world sees him as the fool who is blinded by love but, for him, he is grateful that he can fall in love. Isn't he just great?

Kim Sunggyu, the straight-forward and honest person who believes in his intuition. He is a risk taker and he always tries to judge something from different point of view instead of one-sided judgement.
As for the last scene of Woohyun and Eunye, I was listening to this song.
