Hearts are Made to be Broken

"Aigoo, where is that girl?" I stop running and catch my breath. I look around to find Eunye but she is nowhere to be seen. "What is she doing until this late?"
After Hoya left, Woohyun told me that he was going to look for Eunye as well. He said that it's not good for her to be alone at this hour so he left the hotel immediately. It's not that late yet but the fact that her phone is unreachable makes us feel more uneasy.
Despite the fact that I wanted to return to my laptop, I grabbed my jacket and decided to find where Eunye is right now.
"Let's see...," I murmur to myself, trying to think really hard. "Where will she go if she is all alone..."
My eyes land on a small night club which is not too crowded. It's only thirty metres away from our hotel. Is it possible that she is at there?
Well, it won't hurt to look for her inside....
...and my hunch is quite good.
There she is, sitting with a glass of alcohol in hand. Right next to her, there is a blonde guy who talks to her but I have a feeling that Eunye is not listening to him.
In fact I think Eunye is losing her consciousness. Her face is red and she is trying really hard not to close her eyes.
"Eunye!" I shout her name when she is going to fall behind. I catch her right at the time, holding her shoulder firmly as she falls into her deep slumber in my hug. "Seriously, this girl..."
I look up at the blonde guy and he tells me that Eunye is really drunk, which I can see clearly. I excuse myself, carrying Eunye in bridal style since it's difficult to bring her on my back.
Thankfully it's not too far from the hotel. Since it's an emergency situation, I bring her to my room, putting her on my bed.
"You've made everybody worried," I sit next to her and stare at her face. She looks like a kid. A drunk one though. "Have a good rest, Eunye."
Now I need to tell Hoya and Woohyun or one of them will kill me since I need a place to sleep tonight and I'm sure they won't let me sleep in one room with Eunye.

♥ Hoya ♥
I stop my track when I see Woohyun just walks out from the elevator. He approaches me quickly, "Has Sunggyu called you?"
"Yeah," I nod and give him a sign to head to Sunggyu's room. "He said Eunye is in his room. Did he tell you where he found her?"
Woohyun shakes his head slowly. We finally arrive in front of Sunggyu's room. I knock the door thrice before he opens it for us.
"She is sleeping," Sunggyu opens the door wider and points to the bedroom. "I think she will wake up with headache after all those glasses."
"What glasses?" I frown, afraid that I heard it wrong. "Did she... Did she drink, Hyung?"
Sunggyu rubs the back of his neck before giving me a nod as the answer, "I found her at the nearby night club. Ah, but don't worry. She's all good. I guess she just couldn't take the alcohol."
Of course she can't. She's not that good with alcohol. What was she thinking until she made herself drunk?
"Woohyun, I'll sleep in your room tonight," Sunggyu turns to Woohyun. "It's cool, right?"
"Sure," Woohyun glances at me. "We need to ask something from the hotel to help her with, well, hangover. Come on, Gyu Hyung."
Woohyun drags Sunggyu out from the room, leaving me alone with the sleeping Eunye. She is obviously drunk. I can even smell the alcohol from her.
"Choi Eunye...," I whisper her name as I lean closer to her, reaching out my hand to put her hair away from her face. "Happy birthday... I'm sorry I..."
Why am I sorry? Is it because I didn't wish her the birthday wishes right on the time like how I always did? Is it because I'm not the one who found her?
I stop and my gaze stops on her lips. I never really noticed how innocent she looks like when she is sleeping like this.
She looks like an angel.
I brush her bottom lip with my thumb and, as if I can't control myself, I lean closer and closer to her until my lips meet hers.
After two seconds that feel like forever, I part the kiss. My heart beats like crazy and blood rushes to my brain in abnormal speed.
Did I just kiss my best friend?

♥ Woohyun ♥
I open my eyes and stare at the ceiling of my hotel bedroom. It's midnight already in London but I still haven't slept yet; I'm too worried about Eunye.
I sit up and decide that I should visit Eunye. Who knows that she woke up already.
"Are you going to see Eunye?" Sunggyu's voice surprises me when I walk pass the living room of my room. So he hasn't slept too.
"I just want to check if she is awake," I answer as he straightens his body. He looks at me with questioning look and I know what he is trying to say. "I know Hoya is with her. I just want to do a quick check. That's all."
Sunggyu raises his hand and covers his mouth slightly, "Woohyun, aren't you supposed to be mad at me?"
I blink in confusion, surprised with the sudden topic, "What for?"
"For staying close with Eunye even though I know you're in love with her," he answers right away. "I'm the worst friend ever, right?"
It's true that he has been the closest guy to Eunye lately but I never have a thought to be mad at him. Not even for the slightest. I don't know why but I know that Sunggyu is not going to hurt her.
And that's all I need to know.
"I...," I force a small smile. "I'll do what I can do for her. If Eunye chooses someone else, I will respect her choice, Gyu Hyung."
Sunggyu intertwines his fingers and stares at me in silence for seconds, "Even if it's Hoya who wins her heart, Woohyun?"
I clench my fists and smile with pain engulfing my heart, "Yes."
"I see...," Sunggyu heaves a sigh. He lays down again and closes his eyes, "Ah, I'm sleepy. I need to sleep. Good night."
My lips turn into a curve as he turns around, giving his back to me. It's a sign that I can do whatever I want now.
"Good night, Hyung," I murmur before walking out from the room, heading to Sunggyu's room. I knock the door thrice, waiting for Hoya to open it for me.
It takes a while since I need to knock the door for quite sometimes. Hoya opens it while rubbing his eyes; looks like he fell asleep when he's waiting for Eunye to wake up, "Woohyun?"
"Hey. Has she woke up?" I ask, stepping inside. "You need to sleep, Hoya. You still have a practice schedule with the students in the morning, right? Why don't you return to your room?"
"Ah, right...," he rubs his forehead, trying to regain his consciousness. "Practice... But she is still sleeping..."
"I'll take care of her. Don't worry," I assure him with a smile. He finally agrees and leaves the room, heading to his own room to have a good night sleep.
Eunye is still sleeping quietly on the bed. I can't help but to smile when I look at her. I'm glad that she's alright.
When she stirs, I quickly approach her. Eunye coughs and rubs her eyes slowly; she finally wakes up, "Woo... Hyun?"
"Well, hello there," I smile and pour a glass of water for her. "Here you go. Drink it first."
"Thank you...," she answers with hoarse voice. She clears before drink the water. "Did I... Aigoo, my head hurts."
"You're drunk," I tell her briefly. "Go back to sleep. That will help with your headache. Do you need any medicine, Eunye?"
She rests her head on the pillow again, "No. I'm alright..."
"Woohyun," she suddenly tucks my shirt. "Thank you... For the birthday present. I really like it."
My heart skips a beat when I see her weak smile. She lets go of my shirt and closes her eyes again, murmuring a 'good night' softly.
"Good night, Eunye...," I whisper, caressing her left cheek gently, "...and happy birthday, the owner of my heart."
