I stared at the small box on my hand, feeling like the biggest fool in the world. I should give this birthday present yesterday to Eunye but why was I still hesitating?
"I'll give it to her," I stood up and took a deep breath. What was my reason to keep procrastinating anyway? "It's now or never."
I was too busy with the dance practice until I had no time to visit Eunye after she woke up. Sunggyu told me that she's alright and she would be the one to accompany us as our translator.
We still had around an hour before we needed to attend the intense training, just one week before the real competition began. I needed to use this time wisely.
"I'm sure he will understand," a familiar voice said. I stopped my track because I knew the person was talking right at the corner of the corridor. "Silence doesn't help you, Eunye."
Eunye?
"But... what if he doesn't think the same?" Eunye retorted. "What if I'm just going to ruin our friendship? I-"
"Talk, Eunye," Sunggyu cut her complaining statement. "Hoya will understand. He is your best friend, isn't he?"
What was it? Was she going to tell me that we should be stop being good friends? Did Eunye want to say that we couldn't be friends anymore?
I turned back and rushed to nowhere, hiding myself from Eunye. It's a strange feeling that I couldn't describe with words.
I was afraid. I was afraid to hear what Eunye would say to me. Especially after I realized that she was more than just a friend for me.
It was really late but, when Sunggyu showed up as the first one who found her, my heart ached really bad. I was disappointed with myself. I kept telling myself that I was supposed to be the one who stayed with her.
The kiss. I guessed I had stopped thinking of her as my best friend after that. It's too long since we got so close that I didn't realize how much my feeling had grown for her.
Until she told me what she felt towards me.
"Hoya?"
I freezed and looked up to find Eunye was looking at me. Her lips turned into a curve as she approached me, "I was looking for you."
The fear of getting rejected by her filled my mind and words came out from my mouth, "Didn't we agree not to talk except for work, Choi Songsaenim?"
Her expression changed in instance. I clenched my fists in my pockets, holding her birthday present silently.
"Lee Howon," she scoffed with sarcasm, having a disbelief look. "You're unbelievable."
She took steps away and turned around. I bit my bottom lip to hold the urge to call her, stop her, and confess my feeling to her.
"You know," she stopped all of a sudden, giving her back to me. "We can stop talking about whatever if you want to. I'll deal with it. Have a great day, Howon."
That's the last time I talked with Eunye.

♥ Eunye ♥
"Eunye?" Woohyun calls my name. He takes a seat next to me and gives me a warm smile, "What's with that face? We'll finally return to Seoul!"
I force a smile, heaving a sigh afterwards, "It's a very, very long two weeks."
I mean it. Two weeks have passed since we arrived in London. The dance competition is over and, unfortunately, our students didn't win the first place but they won as the first runner up.
Woohyun has gathered all the information about upcoming vocal competition and he will report it later to our principal.
If there is good thing happened in London, it's the fact that Sunggyu and I got along really well ever since he told me about Bora. It's obvious that they still love each other and I support them.
Well, maybe I disliked Sunggyu at one point but people changed, right? I fell for Sunggyu's kindness and he is still the nice Sunggyu I met so why don't I support him with the one he loves?
However bad things could not be avoided either. Even though Sunggyu kept motivating me to tell Hoya about everything I feel for him, I keep it all inside even up till this moment.
Hoya refused to talk with me and I was heartbroken by his rejection. He didn't even give me a birthday wish like what he always did.
After Sunggyu told me about Bora, I have decided it's time for me to make a decision. To put it harshly, Woohyun is actually an option for me and I think loving someone is not an option.
If I put him as an option for my heart, it will never work. I will hurt him one day and I don't wat to be a heartless girl anymore.
Besides it's always been Hoya, the one I want to stay with me...
...but maybe it's just a wishful thinking now. Maybe everything is over between us.
Thankfully I don't sit next to him on our way back to Seoul. Eleven hours pass by and we finally reach Seoul.
After we make sure that every student has left the airport safely, I bid goodbye to Hyuna and Woohyun since he will walk her back. Meanwhile Sunggyu will accompany me.
I try my best to ignore Hoya, heading to the taxi so Sunggyu and I can leave the airport. We discuss about the competition as my way to forget about Hoya.
"Have a good rest," Sunggyu smiles to me and waves. "Thank you, Eunye. You're a really good person."
"And so are you," I tell him honestly. I bid him goodbye before stepping inside my apartment building, walking towards my apartment.
Right just after I take off my shoes, a new text message notification appears. I check it to find a message from Woohyun.
Woohyun
"Eunye, I'll find my own happiness so don't worry. Promise me you'll find your own happiness."
"Eunye, I'll find my own happiness so don't worry. Promise me you'll find your own happiness."
I frown upon reading his text message. What does he mean?
I know the answer seconds later when someone knocks my door.

♥ Hoya ♥
I see Eunye walks away with Sunggyu. My heart clenches when I see them together but I know it's my fault.
Why can't I just say that I love her? Why am I not good with words? Why don't I stop her and tell her how much I miss to spend moments with her?
"Hoya."
I blink and return my gaze to Woohyun. I can see Hyuna is waiting for him metres away, in a distance where I'm pretty sure she can't hear us.
"About Eunye," he starts, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "Call me whatever but there is something I really want to tell you and I will regret it if I ignore this matter."
"Eunye loves you," he states, making my heart to beat faster. "And, in case you don't realize it, you also love her. I can see it from the way you look at her."
I open my mouth to retort him but nothing comes out. He smiles and continues, "If you're feeling sorry for me, don't be. I'll be happy as long as she is happy."
Woohyun pats my shoulder and mutters, "Be honest with your heart. I'll see you at school, Hoya."
He walks towards Hyuna who waves to me before both of them walk out from the airport area, leaving me to stand alone in the middle of the crowd.
Be honest with my heart.
As if someone just gave me a command, I rush to find a taxi, dragging my luggage along. There is only one place I have in mind right now.
Once the taxi stops in front of Eunye's apartment, I pay the driver and go to the elevator, pressing the button to the floor where Eunye lives.
I raise my hand to knock the door but I hesitate for seconds; is it really the best decision? What if she hates me after what I said to her? What if we couldn't be friends anymore after this?
"Aish, Lee Howon," I talk to myself and gain my courage. "Be a man!"
I knock the door thrice, waiting for her to open the door with rapid heartbeat. Please. Please, open the door, Eunye.
"Click."
The door cracks open and Eunye takes a peek carefully. A smile forms on my lips but it quickly disappears when she asks coldly, "Can I help you?"
"I need to talk," I begin. "We need to talk."
"And who are you?" she gives me a cold glare and I can't blame her for that. "Why do we need to talk?"
I take a really deep breath, telling myself to calm down before I answer her unexpected question, "My name is Lee Howon but I always feel the happiest when a special girl called me Hoya."
Her expression changes slightly and I continue, "A special girl who always stayed by my side. A special girl that has always been my sweetheart. A special girl who is standing right in front of me."
"Now...," I take a step forward and offer my hand for her to take, "...can I have my special girl back?"
