"Will you be my girlfriend?" Sunggyu asks the most unexpected question . My smile vanishes and words are stuck in my throat when our eyes meet.
Somehow I hope that he will grin and say that it's just a joke but he doesn't say that. I really want to throw tantrum on him. Is he even sane? Why did he even ask me that kind of question?
"You know that I'm not going to accept it, don't you?" I choose to retort it with another question. I'm not going to be all sweet like what I always did when I accepted requests to break someone's heart.
Sunggyu is not the random 'assignment' I need to take care of. Yes, he is the reason why I broke guys' hearts but that's that.
I got my punishment of getting revenge already. I actually think Woohyun's sadness and my current situation with Hoya are karma for what I've done. I don't need to be a worse person.
"That doesn't mean I don't deserve a chance, right?" he replies with serious expression. Now that I remember his expression during the movie, it's like he is the different person now.
I guess I have forgotten that Kim Sunggyu is not the ignorant person like Hoya. He's not the all sweet guy like Woohyun. He is the honest and open-minded Sunggyu.
"Look, I really appreciate it but, seriously, Sunggyu, I can't give a yes to your question," I shake my head. "I don't know what made you asked me suddenly but I-"
"Give me a reason why I should accept a no from you," he cuts my explanation. "I don't have a reason to give up on you, Eunye."
I drop my jaw in disbelief. Why can't Hoya be straight-forward like this? Why isn't it Hoya who said that to me?
Why do I even compare Sunggyu with Hoya?!
"Because you still have feeling for Bora. I can't see it from the way you looked at her. Because things are not going to work between us. Because I don't have feeling anymore for you," I finish my statement, feeling guilty for being honest.
He blinks for multiple times and clears his throat, "Wow, that's... a lot of reasons."
Thanks God he realized it.
"But...," he suddenly speaks up, looking at me with a sharp gaze, "...you should know that I am not thinking about Bora now. I'm thinking about you, Eunye."
Choi Eunye, you're not going to fall for his cheesy pick up lines.
"Give me two weeks," he mutters. "Give me two weeks to show you how serious I am about my feeling for you. If you still think that I'm not serious, I'll give up."
If I never met Woohyun, maybe I will agree with Sunggyu right away. I mean, it's his fault if he will be heart broken in the end. It's not like I'm going to fall for him.
Cliche. Take the bet and you'll lose. I read it somewhere else. I watched about the movie with that kind of story line. So not going to happen to me.
I don't want to accept it but if it's the way to make him give up on me...

♥ Sunggyu ♥
If people will think I'm crazy because I asked the time from Eunye, then let them be. It's too sudden but I think it's my only chance.
From my last conversation with her, I know that she doesn't give me chance anymore but, well, heart will change by time. At least that's what I think so I'm gambling with my own decision.
Two weeks. I'll treat her like she is my world. She still doesn't believe that I really care about her. She doesn't want to believe it, perhaps. I can understand since I broke her heart first.
I'm really selfish. I should support Woohyun but I'm actually doing everything for myself. I'm a really cruel friend.
"Two weeks," Eunye finally responds. "Don't blame me if what you wish doesn't come true."
Does it mean... she agreed?
"I do this for your own good. Don't put your hope too high or you'll fall harder," she heaves a sigh and looks away. "It's better if you realize it sooner."
It's like she just rejected me with all her might. It's enough to make my heart waver by my decision. Can I really bear with the worst result in the end of two weeks?
"Don't worry. I have a strong heart. I'll work my best...," I clench my fists and take steps forward to her. "Starting from now."
I tilt my head and kiss her left cheek. Eunye turns to me, touching her cheek. Her eyes widen in shock and her cheeks turn into pink shades, "Y-Y-Yah!"
"That's just the beginning," I grin sheepishly, ruffling her hair. "Thank you, Eunye. You don't know how happy I am because of you."
It's cute how she doesn't reply me like usual. She just bites her bottom lip awkwardly, looking to the other side.
"Should we return to-" I stop my offer once I remember that it's actually a horror movie we were watching. "Err, nevermind."
"We don't have popcorn anymore to help you hiding from the ghost," Eunye chuckles and I feel relieved that she finally smiles. "Should we buy popcorn again?"
"Didn't you just say it's alright if I don't like horror?" I complaint but she just laughs harder and I just realize something.
Everything she does is beautiful in my eyes now. Even her laughter sounds like a music in my ears now.
How deep have I fallen for her actually?
"Let's just go back," she suggests, tucking her hands inside her jackets. "Don't worry about them. It's not like we're going with them from the start. Horror is not my favorite too."
When she walks pass me, I stop her by pulling her arm and then take her hand with mine. I flash her a smile, "Do you mind, my lady?"
I don't really ask for her answer. I walk with her hand-in-hand, feeling crazy with the rapid heartbeat but I can bear with it.
As long as I'm with her.

♥ Hoya ♥
It's just minutes since Eunye and Sunggyu left but the insecurity has increased by every second passed. I finally decide to leave the auditorium to see if they're still around.
"Howon, where are you going?" Bora asks me when I just stand up. "The movie is still-"
"I just want to check something," I answer shortly and then walk out in a rush. I look around to find two familiar figures and I finally find them outside of the cinema.
However I don't want to believe what I just see.
Sunggyu just steps closer to Eunye and he tilts his head before giving a kiss on her cheek. Eunye looks at her with obvious surprise on her face, touching the cheek Sunggyu just kissed.
Why did she let him kiss her?
I don't know what they're talking about but then Eunye laughs happily. She then walks away but Sunggyu stops her, taking her hand and then they leave together while holding hands.
So they're really dating?
Is it one of Eunye's plans again? Is she trying to take revenge on Sunggyu now? What is in her mind?
I turn around, not feeling to do anything now but I think leaving Bora alone is rude when I have agreed to accompany her.
"Bora," I find her standing at the door of the cinema. How long has she been there?
"Ah, I just... I just wanted to know if everything's alright," she gives me a small smile. "It's kind of awkward, right?"
She fakes a cough and then assures me that it's alright if I don't want to resume watching the horror movie because she doesn't really like the story line either.
"Besides a friend just called me," she gives me a nod. "I need to leave and meet her now. Thank you for the short companion, Howon. I'll see you next time."
I feel guilty somehow but a part of me is actually grateful that we can part now.
My mind is not working properly now. The scene of Sunggyu and Eunye keeps repeating in my mind and I don't like it at all.
I really don't like this feeling.
