After the phone call to the reliable butler, Kyuhyun started to walk towards his class. Still with his mind blank, he was not sure if he was making the right decision or he was just deciding on impulse just because of what Jaejoong told him. It was so not him to decide without utmost thought about a certain matter. Taking into consideration of the revelation this morning, he suddenly felt scared. He did not even know what in the world was he scared of. He just felt a sick feeling coming from his insides.

Just as he was walking towards his classroom, he passed by the SC office and was surprised to see Seohyun in there with books splayed in front of her. He took the time to watch the girl for a while. Her head was slightly bowed browsing through her notes. He saw her flip through the pages then suddenly ruffled her hair in what seemed like frustration. He saw the girl utter some words, not loud enough for him to hear, then put her arms over her stacked up books and notes probably getting ready to take a nap. She was about to lay her head on her arms when she suddenly jerked her head up and looked at him.

“Kyuhyun..”

That's when Kyuhyun snapped from his trance. When did he even enter the room and walk towards Seohyun? He just realized that his body moved involuntarily towards the girl.

“G-good morning!” he could only utter that because he was flustered.

“You..” Seohyun spoke. “..why are you here this early?”

“Mm, I somehow woke up early.” He calmly made an excuse as he leaned on the right side of her table, his back facing the girl.

Kyuhyun felt frustrated of himself. He shouldn't have come inside this room. And he definitely should not be having this conversation with her. Didn't he tell himself to avoid the girl because he was afraid? Why was he still in front of her? All he had to do was turn around leave the room and get his peace of mind. His body told otherwise, though. It had always been. She always had this effect on him.

After what seemed like eternity of rationalizing and fighting his internal battles, Kyuhyun finally gave up. He threw everything out of the window—fear, worries and uncertainties because honestly this is what he wants—to see her, to talk to her and to be always near her. All hell breaks loose, he didn’t care. His heart immediately felt lighter and a smile automatically adorned his face.

“Aren't you coming to school too irregularly these days?” Seohyun broke the silence first.

Kyuhyun slightly turned to face her, still with the gorgeous smile on his face which sent Seohyun's heart thumping erratically. He reached out his right hand to tip Seohyun's chin to get a better view of her tired eyes. “I remember telling you last night that I'll come today.” Kyuhyun said worriedly “Were you too bothered by that that you didn't have enough sleep?”

Seohyun immediately swatted Kyuhyun's hand. “What are you even saying?” She said a bit confused and annoyed

“Your eyes I mean..”

“That's because I'm working hard on both my studies and matters about the studentry.” Seohyun answered “..don't get ahead of yourself.”

Kyuhyun slightly chuckled “Is that so?”

“What else is there to it you pabo?” Seohyun looked away in embarrassment.

“Why is your face so red?” Kyuhyun genuinely worried as he tried to touch the other's forehead. “Are you sick?”

Seohyun automatically snapped Kyuhyun's hand before reaching her. “I'm fine.”

“O-ok whatever you say prez!” He said nonchalantly.

After that, the two remained silent. Seohyun tried to continue reading but she could hardly do it. Her eyes felt so heavy that at any moment, she felt she will doze off. Just as she was about to succumb to sleep she felt a hand interlace with hers. She looked at their now intertwined hands then at Kyuhyun who was not even looking at her but to something beyond the window.

“What is this?” Seohyun asked

“I just want to do this” he answered honestly still not looking at her.

“If you keep on doing this..” Seohyun trailed. “..I won't be able to work, you know.”

Kyuhyun finally looked at her. “Don't do your work then.” he said smugly

“Stop joking around, I'm a very busy person.”

She was about to pull back her hand when..

“5 minutes..”

“5 minutes, what?” Seohyun asked

“Just give me 5 more minutes to stay like this” Kyuhyun answered, returning his gaze outside the window.

Both fell silent again. If it was with some ordinary people, it could have been awkward to just sit in comfortable silence and hold hands. But the case was, it was Kyuhyun and Seohyun, and they were never really ordinary. It seemed like it was enough for them just being in each other's presence.

This was also the time that Seohyun finally looked at him, more like scrutinized him. He was still looking away so only a side of his face was visible to her. Seohyun couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in him though. He was still Kyuhyun the same face that annoyed her almost every day—still as beautiful as always but she couldn't help but notice the dull light inside his orbs, faint dark color below his eyes, more prominent cheekbones, the barely noticeable weight loss and paler skin, almost close to being unhealthy. Realizing that her observations were almost leaning to the not so good side, Seohyun felt his heart ache. She was almost sure Kyuhyun was also having a hard time.

Kyuhyun-ah, how will I help you?

Telling someone a secret will make a person closer to you.

If you want Kyuhyun-ssi to ask for your help and open up problems that are not easy to tell to random people, you should confess to him.

Her heart started to pound. That's right! She needs to tell him. That's what she has been trying to do and this was the perfect chance.

“Kyu..”

“Hmm?”

“I-I actually have something I want to tell you—”Seohyun stuttered

Kyuhyun felt a wave of awareness and panic when Seohyun started to talk. This was it..this was what Jaejoong was telling him.

“Seo..” He interrupted. In the end, Kyuhyun was still a coward. He could not abandon the fear and the uncertainties so he decided to take the topic away to what he presumed was Seohyun's confession. “You were planning on having a little nap just now, weren't you?”

Seohyun just hummed in agreement.

“My apologies for interrupting you.” Kyuhyun smiled at her. “I will wake you up on time.” guiding Seohyun's head down to her books.

“But I’m going to...”

“Whatever that is that you are going to say, you can tell me some other time, ok?” Kyuhyun persuaded. “Besides, your well-being is my top priority prez.” He continued almost in a tease, desperately hiding his anxiety of the situation.

On the other hand, Seohyun could almost sense he was avoiding what she was gonna say. “But..”

“Shhh” Kyuhyun shushed. “If you don't go to sleep, I'll drag you back to your house and tell your mom you have been gaming instead of sleeping”

“Yah!!!” Seohyun exclaimed. “Your reason doesn't even make sense, you pabo! Do you think my mom will believe that?”

“Try me!”

Knowing that her mom has the tendency to trust people immediately, “Aisshh!!” she whined. “Alright, I get it. I'll sleep. Wake me up after 10 minutes.”

“Certainly milady!” Kyuhyun smiled. “Sleep well, prez!”

She closed her eyes before uttering “Yeah, goodnight!”

When Kyuhyun felt that the girl was finally sleeping, he let out a deep sigh, finally relieved. “Mianhae, but not today. I will listen to it when everything's right and I don't have to leave. Someday, the rest of it..I will listen to all of it to my heart’s content.”

That same morning...

Donghae arrived early at the Im's residence. Since he was up so early, he decided to fetch her fiance to go to school together. He was leaning on his car, when he saw Yoona come out of the big house.

“Good morning!” Donghae greeted standing uprightly

“Hey, you're here early” Yoona answered. “I thought you said we'll meet at school?!”

He ushered her to the passenger's seat beside him. He just hummed in response before closing the door on her fiancé’s side and walked around the car to settle on the driver's seat.

“Elaborate..” Yoona asked just when they both buckled their seatbelts.

“Cause dad woke up so early in the morning feeling all hyped-up causing me to wake up in an ungodly hour for a student.” He said as he started the engine and then went on their way. “He literally woke the whole household up.”

Yoona smiled looking at the road. “Really? Mr. Lee? What has made him so excited like that?”

“Do you know the Cho conglomerates?” Donghae asked, his eyes still on the road

“Cho conglomerates?” Yoona racked her brain trying to remember the group with the list of companies in her head. “Oh! The Cho family on a fire incident years ago?”

Donghae nodded.

“Who doesn't know them?” Yoona more of stated than questioned. “Aren't they the classic example our teacher's always used to tell us about how our lives are always in danger like safety and security and whatever?!”

“Yes, basically.” Donghae answered

“They were one of the biggest and most successful companies in the world but unluckily the whole family was killed in a fire.” Yoona stated

“Actually the wife was the only one that was confirmed dead because apparently, Mr. Cho was on a business trip. He got badly injured by a separate attack, though.” Donghae clarified. “Their only son was just presumed dead because there was not any finding of a deceased body of the 6-year old child, until now even.”

“So what about it?” Yoona asked.

“There had been few speculations going around saying that the son is still alive and is just hidden in safety by the family's trusted butler.” Donghae revealed

“Wah...jinjja?” Yoona asked in astonishment. “How come I haven't heard anything about it.”

“Cause only a few people know and somehow there were people blocking the news from spreading out.”

“Tell me about what you have heard.” Yoona turned slightly to look at her fiancé, now getting her full attention.

“Rumors say that they finally found the boy and will be taking over the company because apparently the current CEO which is Mr. Cho is not capable to continue heading the company due to deteriorating health.” Donghae said

“Oh yeah I remember now. I actually met Mr. Cho when I was in middle school in some social function my family attended to in America.” Yoona said. “He was always on a wheelchair but he still looked pretty young though. But doesn't that mean that the heir is in danger if their enemies find out that he is still alive?”

“Of course.” Donghae answered. “Many people are eyeing the Cho conglomerates eversince the incident. They must have just been waiting for Mr. Cho to give up the company to someone outside his family since everyone knew the successor was dead. And with a barely physically capable CEO, many people thought that the company will fall down in a short while but apparently, and much to everyone's surprise, the Cho conglomerates still stood strong. I bet Mr. Cho has reliable people around him, also knowing the fact that his life is always in danger since that fateful day.”

“Yeah” Yoona agreed

“And that was what got appa excited.”

“He's excited that a company will be taken over by a rightful heir?” Yoona asked

“Mwo? Of course not!” Donghae exclaimed. “Don't you even feel excited that a person came back after he was thought to be dead? It's like he was resurrected from the dead.” Donghae looked at her for a moment with wide eyes before turning back to the road. “These types of events happen only in dramas!!”

Yoona rolled her eyes at her fiancé. “I never thought you'd be into dramas.”

“No!! With all the work in the Student Council, I don't even have time for that especially now that graduation is coming.” Donghae said. “And by the way, what got appa more excited was according to intelligences, the heir was actually hidden to secrecy here in South Korea.”

“Now that's really something.”

“I know” Donghae bit his lower lip. He seemed like he wanted to say something but was hesitating and Yoona noticed that

“Why'd you suddenly become silent?” She asked

“Hmm..just thinking about something.”

“Something you can't tell me?” Yoona pouted

“It's not like that..” Donghae said then heaved a big sigh “..okay, but don't freak out”

“You are making me nervous though.”

“Hmm.” Donghae thought of how to tell her. “I might have accidentally met that guy some times.”

“Guy, who?”

“The son of the Cho's..”

“You mean the heir?”

Donghae nodded.

“Really?” Yoona inquired. “Like you mean you are actually friends with him?”

“Not exactly like that. I just might have encountered him on few occasions but I don’t know if he is really who he is but my guts tell me he is that Cho child.”

“And you are sure because...?”

“I helped him once last Christmas.”

Yoona knitted his eyebrows, confusion evident on her face. “You're sure of someone's identity by helping a random stranger one day?”

“We were not really strangers to each other that time.” Donghae said. “We've met a couple of times before that. But it never came to my mind that he was that person until that day I helped him last Christmas.”

“How can you be so sure of his identity just by helping him?”

“It's not the usual help like carrying things for someone...”

“Then what?”

“I might have saved him from being killed, I guess,” Donghae said “..from what seemed like security people..you know like the body guards and butlers we have.”

Yoona was utterly shocked. “But..what was he even doing alone? Shouldn't he be at least with his butler? I thought he was under his butler's care?” Yoona asked question after question.

“That is also what has been puzzling me.” Donghae said. “And even when I talked to the guy, it seemed like...”

“Like what Hae?”

“It seemed like the guy lost his memories.” He looked at his now even shocked fiancé. “I don’t know if it's just pretend but I think he really is oblivious of everything.”

“Wow it really feels like in the dramas.”

“Told you” he said as the car entered the gates of the school.

“So this guy, you probably know his name since you said you're totally not strangers to each other and you've met on few occasions.”

“Of course i do.”

“So you are friends!”

“No, not that.” Donghae denied. “The guy doesn't even think of me as that even a bit.”

“What?” Yoona shook her head. “This is so complicated. You somehow know him buy you're not friends, then what are you?”

“We just pissed each other off the first time we met.” Donghae said, killing the engine after parking the car. “And we haven't had very friendly conversations too.”

“Mwoya?” Yoona felt irritated.

“Don't look at me like that.” He said unbuckling his seatbelt. “That happened when I was still, you know, a pain in the .”

Yoona was about to ask something again when the latter cut him

“Look, Yoong, I know I somehow got you are interested with this topic but I really need to go.” Donghae said. “I have the early morning meeting in 5 minutes and I still need to set some things up.” With that, he got off the car and went to open Yoona's side.

“Ok, but you need to tell me everything later at lunch break.” Yoona said still not taking her eyes off her fiance. “And at least tell me his name.”

Yoona got off the car and stood in front of Donghae. “You know him too, actually.”

“Huh? That's nonsense!” Yoona exclaimed. “I could've recognized a certain aura in him if I met him.”

“That was what I thought too myself”

“Then who is it?”

“Cho Kyuhyun-ssi..”

Yoona's eyes widened. “Mwo? Kyuhyun? Kyuhyunie?” She always thought that Kyuhyun was different and he gives off a certain feeling but he did not expect him to be the lost child.

“Yes Yoong. Surprising how small the world is right?” He said then pecked the girl’s cheek. “I really need to go. I'll see you later.”

Yoona stood frozen on her spot while looking at the retreating figure of his fiancé. Now, she had more questions and she couldn't wait for lunch break to come.

Seohyun woke up at the sound of the school bell signaling the start of the first period. Also, the warmth on her palm, which she likes so much (not that she will ever admit that), was already gone.

She looked around but saw no one there. “That Cho Kyuhyun. I told him to wake me up after 10 minutes!!” she grumbled as she scurried to put all her things on her school bag and dashed to her classroom.

At lunchbreak, she went to find the erted alien again but she didn't find him in their classroom or in the cafeteria. She even asked Changmin, who seemed to be the closest person to him in the class, if he knew where he was. But the guy only said that he immediately disappeared as soon as the bell rang. Changmin was even sulking when she told her that Kyuhyun seemed like he wanted to be alone today.

She was only able to see him after the last period when she was on her way to the faculty room to give something to their teacher. She was about to open the door when the tall guy came out of it.

“Prez!” Kyuhyun uttered in surprise

“Cho Kyuhyun!” Seohyun exclaimed. “And why do you look so surprised?”

“N-Nothing..” He answered as he looked away.

“Why are you here by the way?”

“U-uh..” Kyuhyun thought of a possible lie. “I-I got reprimanded.” Kyuhyun stuttered. “Yeah, I got reprimanded.” He did not really get reprimanded. He went to talk about the school matters that needed to be settled before he goes back to America.

“That's what you get when you miss classes.” Seohyun said as Kyuhyun just scratched the back of his head.

“And yah!!!! about this morning..” She spoke softer this time. “I told you to wake me up but you decided to be irresponsible and just left me there. I was late for my first class because of you.”

“Mianhae.” Kyuhyun apologized calmly. “I was going to but you just seemed so tired.”

“S-still..” Seohyun felt embarrassed.

“You really should take care of yourself more Prez!” Kyuhyun said as he tapped seohyun's head. “I'll go ahead first.”

“Chamkamanyo.” Seohyun stopped him. “About that thing I was going to tell you. Can you wait for me, I'll just hand these off to Ms. Nam.”

“I-i really have something important I have to take care of.” Kyuhyun started. “T-Tell me next time okay?”

“But—“ Seohyun was about to protest but the guy has already sprinted away. “Yah!! Cho Kyuhyun!!”

“Eheeem!” Seohyun looked at the teacher. “Ms. Seo, no shouting on the corridors!”

Seohyun bowed. “Neh, I'm sorry..”

Later that day..

Seohyun just barely entered the staff room when she was immediately dragged by a very anxious Yoona. They went to a corner and Yoona backed her up to the wall.

“Unnie!” Seohyun spoke very startled. “W-hat's wrong?”

“Seohyun-ah” Yoona glared at her. “Where is Kyuhyun-ssi?”

“I-I don't know unnie..” Seohyun stuttered

“Did you see him at school?”

Seohyun was still confused but answered nonetheless. “Y-yeah I saw him at school today. He just actually came back after being absent for 2 days.”

“Did he tell you something?”

“About what?” Seohyun asked

“Just about anything unusual?”

Seohyun knitted her eyebrows. “He was never normal though. He talks nonsense all the time.”

“No I mean something more serious I guess?” Yoona bit her lower lip. "How do I say th--"

“Except the usual, nothing unnie..”

“Is he okay? Was there something strange?”

“He said he's fine..” That came out sad though.

“Arggh!” Yoona bit her nails. “This is frustrating”

Seohyun's eyes immediately softened. “Is there something wrong unnie?” She asked. “You are suddenly asking so many questions about him.”

“Just...” When she can't finish her sentence she just sighed deeply

“If you know something..” Seohyun started. “Will you tell me?”

Yoona just stared at her. She can't probably tell her about something that Kyuhyun possibly don't know himself. That was if Donghae was right that Kyuhyun lost his memories.

“It's just that it is so frustrating that I don't know what's happening.” Seohyun sounded pitiful in Yoona's ears. “I asked him if he was fine and he said he is. But I still have this unsettling feeling that he is not and that he just doesn't want to tell me. I just want to help unnie...just as how he always helped me.” She said, nearly in tears.

“You do realize that you are worrying about him, right Seohyun-ah?”

Seohyun nodded before bowing her head.

“That's probably why he didn't tell you.” Yoona said. “He doesn't want to bother you.”

“But isn't that unfair?” Seohyun lifted her head up. “I also did not want to bother him when I had struggles but he just knew how to in and made things easier for me. I feel like I'm depending so much on him. I feel useless that I can't do anything in return because I barely know anything about him.”

Yoona was rendered speechless.

“I-I like him unnie..” Seohyun said almost inaudibly. She saw Yoona's shocked expression but pressed on. “And it doesn't help that I just realized this feeling recently. If..if I have known earlier, it could've not been a habit of me to push him away. In the first place, I should have not pushed him away. He could have opened up to me and I could have helped him.” She panted as she told everything in one go.

Yoona on the other hand felt more shocked if there was still more to how she was feeling at the moment. This was Seohyun, the naive stubborn maknae, finally, openly admitting her feelings for Kyuhyun. She almost couldn't believe her ears.

“He was always there and I want him to know that I'm here also..” Seohyun continued. “..that he is not alone. I want him to depend on me too—”

“Yoona!!” Their conversation was cut when they heard Taeyeon from outside the staff room. “Will you lend Tiffany a hand? the customers are already pouring in.”

“Neh, I'll be there in a minute!” Yoona answered back before turning to Seohyun again

“You should go unnie..” Seohyun spoke, her voice slightly shaking. “I'll just change to my uniform and come out too.”

Yoona hesitated to leave the other girl, not when she can literally see how shaken she is. “I'm sorry..” Yoona started. “I did not mean to make you worried. I just asked about Kyuhyun because I didn't see him for quite a while now” Yoona lied, she can't afford to worry the girl even more. “But if you think he really does have a problem, don't give up. It’s not like he is avoiding you right? Just keep trying, he'll eventually open up.” She said then offered a soft smile.

"Neh, unnie.." Seohyun kept her head down

“Hey, are you okay now?” Yoona worried

Seohyun lifted her head and smiled slightly. “Yes, I'm good. I actually feel lighter that I somehow confessed but unfortunately not to him though..haha”

The atmosphere felt lighter again. “I'm sorry that I am not him” Yoona chuckled.

The two girls laughed. “No, it's fine unnie” Seohyun said. “At least I get to have practice before telling him.”

“Oouu~~~ Our Seohyunie is not a baby anymore.” Yoona cooed, ruffling the younger's hair then glared at her. “But you better straighten out and tell him soon o else I'll hunt you down.”

“Eh?” Seohyun was surprised at the sudden change. Black Yoona was activated again.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" and you can only hear Yoona's demonic laugh as Seohyun watched her go out the room.

"Yoona unnie is scary."

Mianhae..It took me so loooooooong again right? Just letting you know that I’m still alive..hehe (^^) Time wasn’t on my side these past few months.
