“Merry Christmas, Masters and Miladies!!” Seohyun greeted some customers.

Holiday greetings were everywhere in Maid Latte. It seemed like it was just yesterday when the new year came and now it is Christmas time.

“Manager, Christmas is actually 2 days from now right?” Yoona asked

“Yes, actually I want everybody to rest during the Christmas season too even if it’s just for two days.” Taeyeon answered

“Does it mean we don’t have work for the next two days?” Hyoyeon asked

“Yeah” Taeyeon replied. “I always see everyone work diligently so now I want you to enjoy the Holidays. I thought you should spend some time for yourselves and your families. That’s why I decided to celebrate Christmas earlier here at Maid Latte.”

“It’s such a waste that we can’t celebrate this on that day itself.” Tiffany said. “But I guess Manager is right that we should at least celebrate Christmas with our families.”

Meanwhile, in the staff room..

“Like I said, WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU HERE?!” Hara asked

“I told you manager invited me here” Kyuhyun answered calmly

“Then it must be for the part-time job right?” Hara probed. “Then why are you still sitting around, go and work already”

“But she told me I’m not here for work” Kyuhyun replied

“Oh, both of you are here already!!” Taeyeon interrupted their conversation as she entered the staff room with Tiffany, Hyoyeon and Yoona

“Hey, Taeyeon unnie!!” Hara called. “Why is Kyuhyun-ssi here when he is not wor—”

“Alright! Let’s hurry up and put everything back to order” Taeyeon ignored what Hara was saying

“Ye!!” the other girls said

“A-Aren’t we closing the shop a bit earlier than usual today? It feels a bit rushed too..” Seohyun said as she joined the conversation. Ehh? Why is Kyuhyun here?

“Hey Seo! You don’t have any plans for tonight do you?” Taeyeon asked

“Yes, I actually thought that today’s work will drag until late at night” Seohyun answered

“Alright!” Taeyeon beamed. “Well then, let’s go!!”

“You must at least have fun with everyone in times like this.” Taeyeon said. “And since it is Maid Latte’s staff Christmas Party, it will be on me”

After singing, the other girls were amazed because they did not know that Seohyun could sing really well.

Arriving in front of Maid Latte, the words ‘Sorry, we’re closed’ greeted them.

“The café closed earlier” a random passerby told the Pabo trio. “I heard they went to celebrate the Staff Christmas Party”

When the Christmas Party ended..

“Okay! Time for presents!” Taeyeon said

Suddenly, all the girls gave Seohyun their gifts that she could hardly carry them all on her hands.

“Tha-That is because..” she said still panting from running too fast. “..I was held back by Suzy”

“Are you alright?” Kyuhyun asked as he offered her a bottle of water.

“So-Sorry..” Seohyun grabbed the bottle and drank from it.

“By the way, what is with that appearance?” Kyuhyun asked

Why is everyone asking about my appearance? Seohyun thought. “It..It’s my present!! Everyone from the shop gave this to me yesterday. I just thought of wearing it since everyone put a lot of effort in this for me..”

“These clothes?”

“The clothes, the shoes, the bag, all of it..most likely everyone gathered enough money together to buy all of them..” Seohyun said. “Does..does it look weird?”

“YAH!!! WHERE IS IT WEIRD?!” Seohyun asked “I EVEN PERSONALLY THINK THAT EVERYTHING IS…is cute too.”

“We already found him Mr. Shin” a guy reported.

“Who among them?” Mr. Shin asked

The other guy showed a picture. “It’s this guy” he said. “Cho Kyuhyun. The name is different but he is most likely the person we were looking for. I had him background checked and it seems like he lives alone.”

“Are there any people we could use to verify information?”

“I’m afraid it would be difficult because the guy minimized his associations with other people and it seems like his guardian is not around as well.” The guy said. “But recently he had some sort of close relationship with someone.”

The guy showed another picture. “Seo Joo Hyun!”

“Here..” Kyuhyun gave Seohyun a sandwich. “I have not taken my breakfast yet, how about you?”

“I have to preserve Seo Joo Hyun the whole day today properly.” Kyuhyun said. “This digital camera will be the present..that’s what I’m thinking… Therefore do cooperate nicely with me, my photographic subject. ”

Kyuhyun chuckled. “It’s fine. I’ll teach you how to use it the easy way. Come here.” He said

Seohyun went closer to him. “This is the timer.” Kyuhyun said while pressing some buttons. “Right now it’s set to 10 seconds” Kyuhyun placed the camera somewhere. “And now press the shutter..count down to 10 seconds” he instructed as he stood beside Seohyun.

At Kyuhyun’s apartment, after having dinner..

“Ha..I’m full!” Seohyun exclaimed as she pat her belly

“Although your stomach is filled, how about having a little bit of this as your final course” Kyuhyun said as he brought out a small cake. “Since we had so much food already, I specially made it smaller for you. Another gift.”

Kyuhyun placed the cake on the table. “Merry Christmas, Seohyun.”

“Another gift? I think this is not fair” Seohyun said. “You’ve already given me so much and yet I don’t have anything for you.”

“Oh?? Haven’t I already received a present from you?” Kyuhyun asked

“Only playing with me for a whole day as your present, don’t you feel like it’s lacking?” Seohyun asked. “Besides, I received a lot of things from you”

Kyuhyun smiled. “Since you say it that way, then, I shall have another present from you.” Kyuhyun said as he sat beside Seohyun.

He took out his handphone. “Smile!”

Later that night at the Seo’s residence..

Seohyun was looking at the pictures on the digital camera Kyuhyun gave.

“That guy really took a lot!?” Seohyun said annoyed.

Suddenly, her younger sister appeared in her bedroom door.

“Unnie, tell Kyuhyun-ssi to come tomorrow for Christmas” Suzy ordered

“Wae?”

“Because they are going to celebrate Christmas with us” Suzy answered

“I told mom that they don’t have anyone to celebrate it with since they both live alone in Seoul.”

“O-Of course not!” Seohyun denied

“Eeiii!!” Suzy said. “If you don’t want to agree with that reason, just think of it as a way of saying thank you to him for helping us fix the floor last time.”

“Ye..”

“Jinjja unnie, why don’t you just admit it?!” Suzy whispered.

“What?”

“Nothing.” Suzy said. “By the way I already told Jaejoong-oppa about it so you just need to tell Kyuhyun-ssi”

“Yah!! Seo Suzy!!”

“And unnie!! Mom is expecting him to come so be sure to convince him, arasso?” Suzy said. “Alright! Then I’ll go to bed” she said then exited from Seohyun’s room.

“This is absolutely crazy!” Seohyun said to herself. Nevertheless she sent Kyuhyun a text message: ‘Kyu, if you don’t have anything to do tomorrow, omma and Suzy wants you to come celebrate Christmas with us.’

While waiting for Kyuhyun’s reply, Seohyun’s phone rang. She immediately received the call when he saw Kyuhyun’s name.

“I will come!” she heard the joyful voice of Kyuhyun at the other line

“Eh?”

“I said I will come tomorrow!” Kyuhyun said

“You could’ve just texted back!” Seohyun answered. “Why are you still bothering to call?”

“I want to tell it with my own voice”

“You are so weird!!”

“Why? Should I come tell you personally?” Kyuhyun teased. “Just tell me and I’ll come right away”

“Yah, why would I want to see your alien-looking face again??” Seohyun hissed

“Who knows?” Kyuhyun said. “Maybe you miss me?”

“Why would I?!?” Seohyun answered. “Besides, I got tired looking at your face the whole day today”

“So, you were looking at me the whole time?” Kyuhyun teased

Seohyun blushed. “YAH!! STOP TALKING NONSENSE!!!”

Kyuhyun giggled. “Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow”

Seohyun nodded even though she knew the person on the other line can’t see her.

“Bye” Kyuhyun said and they both hang up.

Outside the building of Kyuhyun’s unit…

“Excuse me ahjumma, by chance, do you know this person?” a guy showed a picture to the older woman.

The woman looked carefully at the picture. “Ah, this is the high school kid that lives on unit 11 of this building.” she said

“Do you know his name ahjumma?” the guy asked

“I think it is Kyuhyun. Cho Kyuhyun.” the woman answered.

“Are you sure it’s Kyuhyun and not something else?”

“Yeah, it is what I know..but why are you asking?” the ahjumma asked
