After school, Seohyun managed to convince Taemin and Key to go with her to Dongguk High.

Inside the public bus…

“Seriously what is wrong with you?” Seohyun asked Kyuhyun who was also going to Dongguk High

“I’m coming with you since it sounds fun” Kyuhyun said in his usual calmly tone. “And also I haven’t ridden a bus for a long time”

“Why is Kyuhyun-hyung here too?” Taemin asked

“More like, why do we have to apologize to them?” Key retorted.

“Like I said, if you’re so against apologizing, then tell me what caused the fight.” Seohyun told the two

“Fine!” Key said

FLASHBACK

“Chess eh?” Taemin said to Key while looking at a chess board displayed in a sports store.

“I bet it would be cool to be able to play it.” Taemin said. “Wow, look at the price”

“Hmmp you’re not even good in checkers” Key said

“This is rare” they heard someone say. “It’s students from Kyunghee.”

Taemin and Key looked at Sungmin and his two friends

“That store belongs to my family. It’s not a place for filthy people like you.” Sungmin arrogantly said. “Stay away, FLIES!”

END OF FLASHBACK

“He goes and says something like that” taemin said

“How could we apologize to him” Key said

Shortly after, they finally arrived at Dongguk High.

“WOW, their building is so big and it’s like a castle.” Key said in amazement

“No doubt, it’s a school for rich people” Taemin said. “But why should we apologize?”

At the Chess Club Room..

“So you’re finally here, Kyunghee high” Sungmin said. “I see an extra face here. Is he the Vice president or something?”

“No, I’m here to study Sociology” Kyuhyun answered (^-^). Seohyun, Taemin and Key sweat dropped at what he said.

Sungmin let out a soft chuckle. “I see” and he laughed heartily. “So, you two there, your apology please. I’ve been looking forward to how you’ll show me your sincerity”

“Tssk” Taemin said

“What’s the matter? Didn’t you come to apologize?” Sungmin asked. “This is why I hate brainless, poor people.” Sungmin stood up and “Very well, we’ll continue this in the Student Council room.”

“Brainless, poor people, huh?” Seohyun said. “I see. So you called our students ‘FLIES’ just like that.”

Sungmin was taken aback and stopped on his place.

“I’m fine in continuing this in the Student Council Room. I don’t mind making this an official issue. However…I would like you to apologize to us first!” Seohyun said coolly

Taemin and Key were amazed of Seohyun while Kyuhyun just smirked.

“Why should I?” Sungmin asked

“Because you were the first to insult our students, provoking them to punch you” Seohyun said. “Honestly, I want to punch you squarely on the jaw, too.” Seohyun was now controlling her anger

“You make me sick” Kyuhyun said boredly

“You don’t have the right to call the students of Kyunghee ‘FLIES’” Seohyun said. “I demand an apology from you!”

Sungmin was now nervous. “Ridiculous! What’s wrong with calling a fly a ‘fly’?” then he gazed at the chess board. He silently smiled to his self.

“That’s right. How about we settle this with a game of chess then?” Sungmin proposed

“Ha??” the students from Kyunghee uttered

“If you beat me in this game, then I will admit that students from Kyunghee are not flies.” Sungmin said

“We’ve never played chess before” Taemin innocently said

“I hate how he says that so arrogantly” Key said

“How about you Prez?” Kyuhyun asked

“I haven’t played even once” Seohyun answered

“Then, I guess I’ll play” Kyuhyun announced

“Ehh?” Seohyun, Taemin and key said

“Should I explain the rules?” Sungmin asked

“I’ve played a bit in the past, so you don’t need to.” Kyuhyun headed towards the table

“I see” Sungmin said and both sat infront of the table.

“You can move first” Kyuhyun said to Sungmin while arranging the black chess pieces on his side of the board. This pissed Sungmin off.

Then the game started..

“Ah yes. I forgot to mention. I placed fourth in this year’s national tournament.” Sungmin boasted

“So?” Kyuhyun said without looking at him and moving one of the chess pieces.

“So, I better go easy on you a little.” Sungmin said and placed his next move

“You don’t have to.” Kyuhyun said and moved the horse chess piece. “But instead, if you lose, admit that we are not flies”

“How could I possibly lose if I’m playing seriously?” Sungmin said full of sarcasm. But he was shocked when he saw Kyuhyun with a wide grin and sitting so comfortably. Much more when he yawned as if telling him that he was just as easy as 1,2,3.

“Isn’t he losing his nerve?” Seohyun asked Taemin and Key. She was oblivious of what was now going on with the game.

“Could it be that Kyuhyun-hyung is good at this?” Key asked

“He might be.” Taemin said

Back in the game, Sungmin was now sweating in uneasiness.

“So? Are you going to surrender now?” Kyuhyun asked with a smirk

“Who would!” Sungmin replied nervously and placed a move. “Now what?” feeling confident with his move.

The atmosphere became tense. Seohyun, Taemin and Key were now nervous. Kyuhyun sighed deeply and moved a chess piece.

“Checkmate!” Kyuhyun said

“Ehh?” Sungmin was shocked

“Care for another game?” Kyuhyun teased

Later that afternoon, inside the public bus..

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!” Taemin and Key laughed loudly

“Hey, Keep you voices down” Seohyun yelled at them. “You’re bothering the other passengers.”

“That rich kid is so funny.” Taemin laughed

“ ‘How could we possibly gauge an individual’s worth through a game like this?’ he said” Key imitated Sungmin

“That made us feel a lot better.” Taemin said

The two sophomores faced Kyuhyun and Seohyun.

“Prez, Kyuhyun-hyung, Kamsahamnida!” They both thanked the two.

“You guys shouldn’t be too carried away, alright?” Seohyun worriedly said. “You are at fault too, so if something like this happens again-”

TOOOt. The bus stopped. Taemin and Key stood up and got off the bus.

“When that happens, we’ll ask for your help again” Taemin and Key smiled at her as they waved goodbye at them.

Seohyun looked at the two sophomores waving their hands goodbye.

“Aishh. They’re such a hassle.” Seohyun said

“To me, you’re a bigger hassle.” kyuhyun said

“Anyways, is Dongguk filled with students like him?” Seohyun asked herself. “But then, I’m sure there are better guys than that and there must be troubles that rich people face that I can’t imagine.”

At the Dongguk High’s SC Office..

“I’m here to request that you, Prez, demand an apology from Kyunghee High.” Sungmin reported to Donghae, their SC President. “Kyunghee is more dangerous than what the rumor says. Besides, a girl being the SC President in the midst of boys is a proof of lack of motivation and a display of disorder.”

“SHUT UP, Sungmin-ssi” Donghae said. “Well get revenge for sure.”
