Bete Noire: Author: Soofaerie
Light Livid Dreams: A Review Shop (Open) (Batch 2~)5/5Introduction: 4/5
The introduction is very well done! I was very, very impressed by the thought and consideration into the intro. You stretched it out and made everything stretch out, it didn't leave me in the dark at all. I was aware about what the story was about, I enjoyed it very much. You also added what year it took place in as well, so I knew exactly that it was in the past and what era it was taken place/time period it was at. It wasn't hard to read at all as well, even though the font was a little small. I had to squint to read it, so it was kind of strainous on my eyes (I'm nearsighted). But it wasn't clambered together, not hard to read at all since it was spaced out. Your woding in the introduction was very well put together, and it's best to see introductions thorough and giving enough info.
Basic Summary:5/5
I enjoyed the feel of this story, even though it is common to use this type of time period with royals and etc. But I like the way you did it indeed, it's really rare. I was interested with the way you didn't want Kyungsoo, Dalhwie to not want to marry each other. I like the bond you emrbraced between them both, as well as highlighting the fact that they didn't exactly like one another. As well as how you gave each character their own different personality trait and outlook on everything. Not everyone enjoys being a princess, but that made a tad clich'e but you made it work out very well. I am super excited as how to Kai and her form a bond further into the story. You also did not skip things nor leave holes in the entire story, very well done.
Title Originality: 5/5
This title is very rare, suprisingly! You did an amazing job actually coming up with the title! I enjoyed the rareness and slight new type of language you gave it- I believe it to be french; am I right? Yes, some people might use different types of genre's for their stories, but this one seems to fit very well. As I googled it, I noticed that it means 'the person or thing that one dislikes.' which fits that you indeed highlight the fact that Dalhwie and Kyungsoo do not like each other as well; or that she does not like the arranged marriage. Of course, that is not all in the story. I have not seen that many creative ideas in a while, so I am very impressed by this!
Neatness/ Presentation Of Story: 7/10
The neatness of this story is well put together and I adore the flow of the entire thing. The only bad thing is, the text is sort of hard to read.. I am slightly near sighted and it was kind of hard to make out, so I had to squint to read it. But I really enjoyed the little backstories you exposed to me and the other readers, it shows what everyone could understand Kyungsoo's issue with being married, especially since his actual love was poisned to death. The poster is very fitting, especially Kai
