Chapter 2: You sure you are not blind, Park Jimin?  

Narrator’s POV

“Park Jimin son, go wake your sister up. She will be late to school if she doesn’t wake up now” Jimin frowned at the thought of waking her step sister up. He muttered and sighed “ She is a big girl. She can wake up by her own. And she is not my liability” he quickly arose from his seat and headed out to school ignoring the request made by his father.

Jimin never liked this whole new family to begin with. He was doing just fine without a mother ever since she passed away 10 years ago. However, his father on the other hand had the audacity to show up in front of the doorstep with a woman who claimed to be his new mother 5 years ago. The nightmare was real when the woman had a daughter with her, he hated to be associated with anyone even worse step sister.

“It is okay dear, he needs time to accept this new family. It is not easy for him to have someone else replacing his dear mother. He is a lovely son, he loves his mother too much” Mrs Park gave his husband a light pat at the back of his hand.

Mr Park sighed deeply “I apologized because Jimin made it hard for you, it has been 5 years. I don’t know how much time we need to wait” her wife gave his hand a light squeeze and smiled softly. “I can wait, it is okay. At least he makes an effort to sit with us for meals; it is a good change my dear. I will go check on Sunhi and drag that lazy girl out from her bed” she shook her head and went to her daughter’s room.

Jimin ruffled his back head as he continued his steps entering the school ‘I hate school, and the one who invented SCHOOL’ he squished his eyes tight and gave a light tug adjusting his sling bag. He accidentally bumped into something hard near his knee level as he heard a low grunt from the ground. His eyes widened to see a girl with her face slammed on the ground ‘Oh . Did i just hit her? Why on earth she-‘ he froze upon hearing her sweet voice mumbling in pain.

“You sure hit me hard, if you were a damn truck I would be dead by now” she rubbed the dirt off her face as she got up and dusted her skirt.

‘I swore I heard her voice somewhere before, she couldn’t be that girl right? She turned to look at me’ he waited for her to turn her body back facing him.

“Watch where you going. I was obviously bend down to tie my shoelace and you hit me hard like I am invincible” she pursed her lips into an unintentional pout. Jimin tried to hold back his smile ‘It is her. That girl’ this was his first time being with her up close after that day, it was not easy to forget his first encountered with her.

“Jimin come on just this one! You just need to be there for me while I audition for this role. I didn’t ask you to audition with me, just support me pretty please!” Jimin rolled his eyes in annoyance as the younger boy kept on begging him to accompany him to that stupid school theatre. When it came in getting what they want, Jeon Jungkook sure knew how to seal the deal. He never understood why Jungkook was obsessed with this role when in reality he was shy and ignorant as hell.

“Oh you can audition if you want, they might need a backup dancer” Jimin immediately shot him a warning glare “Okay geez fine. I know you only dance for your damn health and stupid hobby” he mumbled. Jeon Jungkook was Jimin’s junior but they strangely bonded like a long lost friend, their first encounter was not memorable one. It was indeed true some man bonded through alcohol.

Jimin nodded “ Fine, I am going with you. If you make me wait for 2 hours I will leave you alone Jeon Jungkook. Never ever pull out a stunt like signing up my name for this stupid theatre” he knew the younger boy was capable in doing unexpected things for his own benefit.

“IM SEALING THE DEAL PARK JIMIN. THANK YOU!” Jungkook hugged Jimin excitedly bobbing his head up and down. After the last class ended they both headed to school theatre hall as it was the venue for the theatre audition. It was sort of last minute audition because the main lead was quarantined for unexpected illness therefore they had to find replacement as soon as possible. Jungkook apparently was so interested with the roles and looked so determine to be in the school play leaving Jimin no choice but to entertain his best friend request.

Jimin took a seat at the back of the hall while Jungkook was getting ready at the backstage with his makeup and costume that fit the characters. Few minutes later, Jimin received a panic message from Jungkook demanded him to come to backstage to fix his hair. He smirked at the text that he just received as he knew Jungkook was never fond of girls around, that boy even flinched when the back of his hand accidentally brushed against his biology teacher for god sake.

He groaned in frustration at this ridiculous request from his friend but he got up anyway making his way to the backstage. It was his first time being at the backstage and he had no idea it was so huge and there were wardrobe, seats, mirrors and changing room everywhere. He had no idea where Jungkook was so he decided to take a walk in finding his dear friend to the rescue, yay. Jimin cussed in his head as he could not see even a strand of Jungkook’s hair there, he stopped when he heard a soft voice sought for help.

He shook off the thought as he decided to continue finding his friend but his ear caught the soft voice again “ Is there anyone out there? Can you help me? I need help”.

Jimin took few step forwards in front of the fitting rooms trying to find the direction of the voice, he blinked as he saw shadow from the curtain ‘Someone is inside?’ he thought. Jimin slowly pulled the curtain open as he saw a girl with both of her hand up, the tops which stuck around her chest covering her face.

“Oh god, thank god someone hears me. Please whoever you are, please help me to take this tops off. Im stuck. I couldn’t breathe with this stuck covering my face” she mumbled in annoyance and tr
