Chapter 13: If love bounds to happen, there is no turning back

Narrator’s POV

This year annual college carnival that took place in a week would be Sera’s very last participation before she graduated. Every student from different faculty would be busy preparing for their booths as well as special performance for the concert. Every year Sera would take part in her faculty special performance as a backstage crew or one of the supporting roles. However this year Sera managed to get an important role for special performance which excites her. This opportunity would be her only chance to flaunt her skills to public.

She had been spending most of her time practicing these past few weeks, and she did not have a chance to talk to Jimin ever since her embarrassing drunk incident. They bumped into each other now and then but never had a decent conversation, Jimin seemed busy with his solo performance.

She overheard girls from her faculty gossiping about a hot a guy from modern dance major would be having his very own solo performance. Sera never knew Jimin was that famous it somewhat made her a little jealous, she disliked girls fawning over Jimin. She felt insecure for no reason.

A mysterious individual had been watching Sera’s movement, and the person knew how to do his job discreetly without being suspicious. He pulled out his camera as he took few shots of Sera while stay hidden, up until now he managed to follow Sera since this morning she left for class. The man then transferred few photos to his phone and delivered it to Jungkook with a proud smirk. He was paid to follow this girl around even though he had no idea why.

Jungkook arose from his seat as he saw the photo that he just received “That bastard” he hissed angrily while clutching onto his phone in anger. He quickly went to his room to grab his black hoodie and quickly put it on; he needed to check on Sera knowing how close Max had been watching her every move.

Yoongi jumped to his feet when Jungkook stormed pass him “Yah kookie where are you going? You are not well enough to wander around with that face. Did you forget you were beaten to a pulp yesterday?” he frowned.

Jungkook had no time to waste as he quickly put on his shoes giving the older guy an apologetic look “ I will explain when I get back. Don’t worry I will stay away from troubles” he mumbled leaving Yoongi dumbfounded.

Yoongi let out a worried sigh ‘I really hope he stays away from problems’ he watched Jungkook slamming the door close and vanished.

Sera planned to call the day off early today because Seokjin gave her an advance warning to get back home earlier than yesterday, that overprotective brother. Yesterday, she was so engrossed in her practice and reached home around 1 in the morning. Of course, Jin was still awake all geared up to give her a long motherly lecture before sending her off to bed.

She exited the building making her way to main gate as she caught a figure in black hoodie with his back rested against the gate “Jungkook?” she blinked. Sera did not expect to see him so soon but she had no problem meeting him ever since things between them were settled.

“Hi” Jungkook had his face hidden in his hoodie hoping Sera would not see the visible bruise on his face. He knew it was a bad timing to see her in this condition but he couldn’t stop himself from worrying.

Jungkook felt relieved upon seeing Sera ‘Why am I acting up when she is alright? I should not come. Jeon Jungkook you are pathetic’ he rubbed the top of his head awkwardly.

“What are you doing here?” Sera beamed.

“I was waiting for you. Actually I was on my way home walking passed that street so I remembered you told me this is your college. Just want to drop by say hi” Jungkook muttered.

Sera’s soft chuckle brighten Jungkook’s mood,no it actually drive him insane. He tried to shrug off the thought of enjoying every small detail that she did, for instance her smiley eyes and her sweet voice.

“You flatter me Jungkook, for some reason I feel like I’m the luckiest girl on planet” they walked side by side leaving the building.

“So you seem busy, leaving college at this time. It is dangerous for a girl to walk alone at night, the world is no longer safe” Jungkook expressed his worries mainly it reminded him Max’s threat last night.

“You sounded like Seokjin now. Nah, usually I didn’t really leave college this late just recently since we will be having our annual carnival soon. I had to practice before the show. Oh speaking of that, you must come and catch my performance. If you happen to have free time next Friday” she chirpily clasped her hands in excitement.

Jungkook held back his chuckle “ I will see if I have free time. I will let you know” he saw her lips tugged into a slight pout.

“Okay then mister busy. Text me if you can make it, I will save the best seat for you. And, Jimin will be performing too; I heard he will be having his very own solo performance. You really should come and support your best friend” she poked his arm causing him to jolt a little at the sudden contact.
