Chapter 18: You cant unlove Kim Taehyung

The image of his mother’s death was still fresh in Jungkook’s mind, he just seemed couldn’t erase it from his memory. There was part of him wanted Max dead instantly but he knew it was impossible to attack him without plan. His mind was a total mess; even the alcohol could not wash away the pain.

The meeting with Sera last night was wonderful and he wondered how her presence made him feel better. Jungkook took another shot to get over his frustration, placing the glass down with a slight grunt. He wanted to end this war with Max and he had to find way to bring him down.

His eyes roamed around as he caught a familiar figure with his head hung down “Taehyung?” he mumbled. Jungkook arose from his seat making his way to Taehyung’s table “Had a ty day huh?” he sat down beside him.

Taehyung turned his head to Jungkook with a deep sigh “ My father disowned me. He said it was my fault for putting so much trust on you without checking the bag” Jungkook who was about to take a sip of his drink stopped moving. He knew his action might affect Taehyung indirectly, but it was his only choice to slow down Max and his father.

Jungkook listened as Taehyung continued “I know he doesn’t have any intention to accept me in the family. He has been using me for his sick business so his hand will never get dirty. I devoted my life for him but I am sure he doesn’t even give a damn about me” he gritted his teeth and drank his drink one shot.

“Do the headlines posted on the internet affect your family business that bad?” Jungkook sighed softly. He was the one that should be blamed for ruining Taehyung’s relationship with his father.

Taehyung scoffed “Family business? More like the Almighty Kim business. I might be the Kims but I don’t think the business wants to be associated with someone like me” he chuckled bitterly with a long pause.

“The company is in chaos right now. Detectives came over few times to interrogate every worker. There was also an order from the prosecution office to confiscate files and related data for investigation. I am sure he is plotting something and looking for someone to take the fall for the company” he gritted his teeth.

“He is not a good father for you Tae. He made you do his dirty jobs knowing how desperate you wanted his attention and love. He never meant to bond with you so he took advantage of your desperation. You did not lose anything” Jungkook patted his back.

Taehyung’s rubbed his back head, frustrated “Why was I blinded by his so called love and affection? I should have stopped cleaning his mess. I guess I was meant to be like this, fatherless” Jungkook smiled sadly at the thought of him being in the same position as Taehyung.

“You are not alone. I am fatherless too” he mumbled under his breath. He could tell Taehyung had his gaze fixed on him as he never talked real things happened in his life. Jungkook felt obligated to clear the air between him and Taehyung. He kept the whole story involving Max from Taehyung because he did not want to ruin his relationship with his dad.

“ Few years ago I was a normal person until Max came ruining my life. He killed my father in front of me, and he took my mother so he could use me to do his dirty job. It was pure hell to live under Max’s shadow. I did nasty things indirectly helping them to get innocent kids and girls” he finally opened up to Taehyung.

Taehyung flinched in curiosity “Why he needs those kids and girls?”

“Human organ trafficking. I have no idea how and where this business apparently takes place. He never trusted me fully so he didn’t really reveal his filthy operation. My tasks were to lure these people and they would finish the rest of it. I have been living like this for years and I am sick of it. That is why I set your company up with that fake drugs” Taehyung shook his head finally understood Jungkook’s difficult situation.

“That is sick man. I am sorry about your dad, I should have known. You don’t seem like a guy that carelessly works for Max. I was curious at first but I didn’t want to sound nosy” Taehyung poured drinks in Jungkook’s glass.
