Narrator’s POV

The small apartment echoed with Hoseok’s loud voice forcing everyone in the house to wake up from their deep sleep. Jungkook grunted with his eyes half open, as he wrapped the blanket around his body forcing himself off from bed. He bumped into Yoongi on his way out and they both scoffed.

Namjoon yawned loudly with one hand rubbing his already messy hair taking a seat between Yoongi and Jungkook. Jungkook who had his chin rested at the arm of the couch paid no attention to excited Hoseok ‘Why in the world this hyung so hyper? It is still morning ughhh’ he squished his eyes tight, annoyed.

“Listen to me; this is not the time to sleep! I have good news” Hoseok pulled the laptop facing those three sleepy men who were actually ready to kick Hoseok into a pulp for ruining their morning.

“Whatever Jung Hobi… Why can’t you wait until we fully awake?” Yoongi let out a deep grunt making no effort to open his eyes properly. He leaned his head against Jungkook’s shoulder practically snuggled into his warm blanket.

Hoseok rolled his eyes “You are going to regret this. There is an article relating to slush fund scandal and plus the illegal business by the infamous Kim Corps” Jungkook eyes shot opened upon hearing his statement. His hand unconsciously shoved Yoongi’s face away towards Namjoon side causing both of them to growl in anger.

“What? How is that possible? I don’t remember that in our plan ”Jungkook brows knitted into a frown. He had no idea about the slush fund scandal it was not part of his plan, and then he realized the only person who was capable in digging such things.

Jungkook moved his gaze to Yoongi “Were you the one who sell those stories out?”

Yoongi gave a slight nod “When I hacked into their security system, I got carried away. So I ended up finding something that I shouldn’t, and then I realized we could make money from it. Besides, if you want to push them inside police radar slush fund scandal is the perfect start of the game. The deeper they dig, it will end up to Max suspicious business, the money that this company wired out can be a major lead” he explained the whole situation and his future prediction like a real detective.

In fact, he did not stop as he continued, “I did not reveal to the journalist who is the Kim Corps, even so they will figure it out sooner or later. They pay me a big sum of money for this information, therefore it benefits you and I both way. Don’t worry all of you will have a share” Jungkook snickered at his hyung genius plan.

“Bloody hell, you are genius Min Suga!” Hoseok smirked while clapping his hand like a fan.

Namjoon who had his eyes close tight now were wide open “So, you are saying. You are using medias to get the cops to investigate this company? Not bad, Yoongi” he smirked.

“The tips that we sent alone would not be enough for them to build a case against the Kims. Their company is huge they will just think it is another method for their enemy to bring them down. Come to think about it, if I give the evidence of the slush fund to the cops we don’t know yet who will be on our side. There is a possibility that they may bury the evidence without even investigating it. So, medias are the best way to aim the bad guys” the three boys nodded in agreement to Yoongi’s relevancy.

A sly smirk spread wide on Jungkook’s face “Therefore, the cops have no choice but to at least pretend they investigate this or else public will criticize them. Whoa Min Suga you turn out genius” he nudged Yoongis’s shoulder.

Yoongi crossed his arms with a proud smile “You may need this Chief Min someday in the police force” he chuckled. Min Yoongi was the hidden gems among them despite having a rough life since he was a kid; he was born with high intellectual thinking. They had to admit Yoongi could be child prodigy if he was raised in a good family and got a proper education.

Jungkook received a call from Max’s right man and his laughter died instantly. Others noticed the change in Jungkook expression as they carefully studied the boy without uttering any words. For some reason, they feared the consequences of betraying Max considering he still had Jungkook’s mother with him.

He hung up and immediately snatched the laptop from Hoseok “They emailed me something” he mumbled as he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Hoseok moved to Jungkook’s side as all of them now had their eyes fixed on the screen. The link that they sent Jungkook via email brought them to a private live stream website, it made them gasped.

It was a clear image of Jungkook’s mother stood on a stool with her hand tied up over her head attached to the ceiling. Her hair falls messily covering her face as they could hear her soft whimper from the screen. Jungkook clenched his fists in anger. His mother looked so horrible, her clothes were torn and dirty and he cussed himself for taking a long time to find her.

“What is he up too?” Namjoon spoke quietly through clenched teeth.

Big Max the guy that they expected would appear finally making his way circling Jungkook’s mother in provoke way, he took a deep breath before looking at the camera. “Have you been missing your mother Jeon Jungkook?” his voice was cold and rusty.

“I warned you didn’t i? Be a good boy, then I spare your mother’s life. Look who rebels, after years becoming my dogs. You are interesting Kook. To be honest I am exhausted to look after your worthless mother, and I realize maybe she is better off with your father. Don’t you think?” Max’s fake laugh made them wanted to puke. Indeed, he was a psychopath.

“He can’t be real right” Yoongi hissed in anger. He hated Big Max ever since he found out how he made his friend suffered.

Max then started to load his guns with bullets, every click sound from the guns drove Jungkook crazy “This bastard, I am going to kill him” he scowled and angrily clutched onto his hair, frustrated.

Again, he felt useless because he could not do anything to stop this psychopath for the second time. He did not want his mother die before him again not after that horrifying event years ago.
