Chapter Four

Tiffany woke up and did the same routine she does every single day without a hitch but somehow today felt a little different. It almost felt off and she can’t point out why.

Then as if a light bulb just lit up on top of her head, Tiffany finally realizes why. It’s because today is Friday and by the end of the day all her friends will be at her house to go with her and her that for that out of town trip for her birthday.

Tiffany let out a sigh and tried to not to think about it for a little while because she knows that she will be constantly be reminded about it later by her dongsaeng Yoona and she’s sure that she will never forget it even just for a second.

“Unnie! Good morning!”

Tiffany turned her head and saw Yoona peeking over their cubicle’s divider again.

“Good morning to you too Yoongie!”

“Unnie! I’ve already brought my weekend bag with me! I’ll be going with you after work! Then Sooyoung unnie and Sunny unnie will both arrive at your place while Hyo unnie will go alone.”

“Yoong, I know that already… you’re too hyper this morning…”

Tiffany smiled at her overly hyper-active dongsaeng again and couldn’t help but to wonder how much coffee did she drink this morning to be this active. And just like what she thought earlier, Yoona will be her reminder clock for the whole day.

“You can’t blame me unnie! We’re all having a short vacation! Plus it’s also your birthday!”

“Okay! okay! calm down Yoongie! Let’s get to work so we if we get to finish early, we can leave early, right?”

“Right! Roger that!”

Tiffany smilingly shook her head when Yoona abruptly left her cubicle’s wall to go back to her table and probably hurrying to finish all her task of the day.

Before Tiffany knows it, their work hours finally came to an end and a very eager Yoona was now standing right outside her small office cubicle.

“Unnie! Hurry up! Turn off your pc! The other unnie’s area already at your place! Come on!”

Tiffany could only shake her head at her dongsaeng’s hyperness, for it was Yoona, who did the task of turning of her work pc and even getting her personal stuffs into her sling bag and even carrying it for her.

“I’m sorry Unnie but we only have thirty forty-five days chicken on the pen and the rest are all broilers.”

Taeyeon apologetically told the slightly older woman who told her that she will bulk buy 50 kilos of chicken that according to her will be used for her niece’s birthday party.

“Do you know if there’s any other poultry farm around here?”

Taeyeon saw the worry in the woman’s face and couldn’t help but feel even bad for her for what she will about to inform her again.

“I’m sorry Unnie but I don’t know any chicken farm near the village.”

“Yeah, I know… I already went to the Kang’s farm but they also don’t have any at the moment. Then I remember our neighbor once told me about this farm so I went here next. My father was the one who insisted that we use live chicken for the feast because according to him it’s fresh unlike those we buy at the market.”

“I’m really sorry Unnie, that’s the only chicken I can give you.”

“Okay I understand, can I think about it for a while?”

“Sure Unnie take your time.”

Taeyeon was about to turn around to leave the woman for a while to think for herself but Taeyeon hasn’t even move yet when the woman already spoke loudly at her again.

“Okay give me those thirty chickens and twenty broilers.”
