I dashed down the stairs and immediately looked for his car. It was a silver sedan. I went immediately to the passenger side and got in.

“Annyeong Haseyo.” I greeted him.

“No need to be formal. Annyeong. Let’s go?”

“Ok.”

We had a long ride. There was silence but it wasn’t awkward anymore.

“Are you excited?” He asked.

“Ne.”

“Is it your first time?”

“Anee. I’ve gone to Disneyland in Florida but it’s my first time here in Korea.”

“Aah.. You’ll enjoy it!”

“I hope so.”

“So… How was your exam?”

“Easy. A piece of cake.”

“Maybe you are smart. I heard you passed Harvard.”

“Ah. Yes.”

“But why did you choose to study here?”

“My father insisted. I guess I should spend some time more with my mother…”

“Oh. Here we are.”

He parked the car. When I saw the sign. We are at Lotte World! Oh my. It’s so beautiful!

“Zowee!!!” A girl was shouting my name.

“Shinhye?”

“Thank you Jaejin for getting her… Here’s your ticket. Ok. When it’s time to eat, we’ll just text you. We’ll go separate ways when we got inside. Araseo?” She gave our tickets to Jaejin.

“Ok.” Jaejin had no choice.

The weird but sweet looking couple was in front of us.

“Yeobo… Let’s ride the carousel. Ok?” Hongki asked Jonghun.

“Of course. Then we’ll go ride the roller coaster.” Jonghun replied.

“Aneeyo! I don’t want to… I’m scared, yeobo!” Hongki with his sweet voice.

“Don’t be afraid… I’ll be with you. I’m with you. I’ll never leave you…” Jonghun hugging Hongki making him calm.

“Saranghaeyo, yeobo…” Hongki looking at Jonghun’s face.

“Aaaw.. You’re so cute Yeobo…” Jonghun kissed Hongki.

“Ya! I’m so jealous!!! Don’t do it here.” Seunghyun shouted.

“Where’s your girlfriend, Seunghyun?” Minhwan asked him.

“She’s coming I’ll be waiting for her.” Seunghyun replied.

“Araseo. We’ll go in first.” Minhwan holding Shinhye’s hand.

“Zowee! See you later.” Shinhye bid her goodbye.

“We’ll be going in too…” Jonghun said his arms are around Hongki’s waist.

“We’ll be going in too.” Jaejin announced while holding my hand.

“Araseo. See you later guys.” Seunghyun said.

We got inside the park. Jaejin is still holding my hand. It took a while before he let go.

“Miane…” He said.

“It’s okay.”

“Let’s go? Where do you want to ride first?” He asked.

“Roller coaster!”

“Really? Oh okay.”

I can see in his eyes that he was scared…

“I would never ride this again!” He exclaimed after coming down the exit gate.

“You scared?” I asked hiding my laughter.

“Ya! Don’t tease me!”

“Anee. You’re just too cute. You’re face is so red.”

“Really?!” He was holding his face.

“Ya! Let’s get some ice cream…”

“Araseo…”

We had ice cream and ate a lot. We had cotton candy and popcorn. We played carnival games and he even got me a big teddy bear. We sat down and rested.

“Zowee.”

“Ne?”

“What’s your Korean name?”

“Soon Geum. Why?”

“You have a beautiful name. Can I call you Soon Geum?”

“Uhmm… Araseo.” I agreed though I don’t like the idea.

“Soon Geum-ssi… You look beautiful today.”

“Ne?”

“You are beautiful.”

“Oh… Kamsahamnida.” I felt the heat rushing through my cheeks.

“Your dress is so—“

“Ya! My phone vibrated.”

I got my phone and looked. It was Shinhye’s text.

Shinhye-ssi. Let’s meet at the café. We’ll eat dinner! Araseo? Come here now.

“Jaejin oppa. Let’s go to the café.”

We saw Shinhye, Minhwan, Jonghun and Hongki. Seunghyun was missing. Food was already on the table. Jonghun and Hongki can’t stop displaying their affections. Hongki was resting his head on Jonghun’s shoulder.

“Yeobo, they look together right?” Hongki said to Jonghun while looking at Jaejin and I.

“Ne. Ya! Jaejin! Court her already!” Jonghun said to Jaejin.

“Aaaah… Where is Seunghyun?” I asked just to avoid that topic.

“He’s coming with his girlfriend.” Minhwan said.

“Please sit.” Jaejin holding my chair.

“Gomawo…” I said as I sat down.

“AAAAAW… Aren’t they sweet. Yeobo, kiss me?” Hongki said to Jonghun.

Jonghun gave Hongki a simple kiss on the lips. It was sweet. I can see that they really love each other.

“There’s Seunghyun!” Minhwan pointed at the door.

“Ya! Seunghyun! I’m so hungry why are you so slow!” Jonghun said.

“Guys, meet my girlfriend, Seo Mee Yon.” Seunghyun introduced the girl standing beside him.

“Annyeong! Nice to meet you.” Everyone greeted her.

“Sit there!” Minhwan said pointing to the seats beside me.

The two of them sat down and we started eating. Jonghun and Hongki is having their own moment. The same with Minhwan and Shinhye. Seunghyun and Meeyon where talking about what they are going to do. Jaejin and I was so quiet. I was eating when he started to speak.

“Meeyon-ssi. Are you from the Meeyon Group of Companies?” He asked Meeyon.

“Ah. Ne… Why?” She replied.

Everyone became quiet. The attention of the group was between Jaejin and Meeyon.

“Hi. I’m Lee Jaejin…” He was extending his hand for a handshake.

“Hi.” Meeyon was to extend her hand when Jaejin spoke again.

“Of the Lee Medical Group. I am the son of Lee Jae Hwa.” He said with full conviction.

Everyone was so shocked of Jaejin’s revelation. I can see in Meeyon’s eyes that she was really shocked.

“So it was you…” Meeyon received the handshake.

“Ne…” Jaejin replied.

Everyone became quiet the whole dinner time. What does this mean? Do they know each other? Do they have a past? What will happen now?
