Monday mornings is really the hardest time of the week. Aside from going to school, I get to see Roy the snob guy. I never really wanted to see that guy. His face annoys me! I really hated Mondays.

“Yeobosaeyo?”

“Soon Geum!!!”

“Shinhye! Wei?”

“Uhmm.. let’s watch another concert on Friday!”

“What? Friday? Aneeyo! I have an exam the next day!!!”

“You are already smart to pass your language course! You will pass it.”

“I still need to study.”

“Ok. I’ll ask somebody else. It’s a waste not to give these VIP Passes to my best friend.”

“Ne? Wait!! What time is it?”

“Same time. Same place! I love you Soon Geum!!!!!”

“Ya! Zowee! Zowee!”

“Araseo! I’ll treat you lunch. See you at school!!”

Blah. Blah. Blah. This class gets more even worse because of the professor. I use my long black hair to hide my face from Roy. He’s too quiet. He seems like he’s thinking deep.

“Alright class, I’ll be leaving you with an assignment to be done by pairs! The person on your left, for the middle chairs and right end chairs, would be your partner. Araseo? Class dismissed.” Our professor announced.

I looked at my left and… Omo! It’s Roy. I sat in the middle… that means… he is my partner?!!?!? Eottoke?!

“Miss Smith?” The guy on my left asked.

“Roy?”

“Uhmm.. When are we going to do the homework?”

“Uhm… Whenever you are available…”

“How about tomorrow evening? I’ll treat you for dinner.”

“Ne? Araseo…”

“Cool. Give me your number.”

“Ha?”

“Your cellphone number.” Waving his cellphone.

“Aah! Araseo…” I dialed my number on his phone.

“Alright. I’ll just text you tomorrow. See you.”

“Ara—“ I didn’t even finished my sentence when he dashed towards the door.

The next day…

I was walking towards my house when my phone beeped.

         Hello. This is Roy. Let’s meet at the park near your house. 6pm. Don’t be late.

GAAAAAAAAAAA!! Roy texted me. OH MY GOSH. Wait. What’s this? I’m excited. Don’t tell me I’m… Why does my heart beat so fast?! Eottoke?! I dashed towards our house and washed up. I picked the best outfit that I’ve had in my dresser. Why does this dresser doesn’t have enough clothes?! Eottoke?! I looked at my clock…

5:30 p.m.

Eottoke?! I ran fast to wear my shoes. It was so hard to wear those shoes. Before going out, I checked myself again on the mirror. I checked my bag if I brought the correct materials. Done! Whoo! I walked towards the park and saw that he is already there.

“Roy?”

“Zowee.”

“Okay. Let’s do our homewo—“

“Aneeyo. Let’s eat first.”

“Oh. Okay. Where?”

“Follow me.”

He brought me to a simple restaurant. He ordered Korean beef and it was awesome! After dinner, we went to a noraebang. I never saw him sing lively. He has a beautiful voice too. I never thought that this snobbish guy would be fun to be with. After the noraebang, we ate street foods like tteokpokki, odeng, beunggoppang… It was so much fun! I never imagined having so much fun. Though I spend time with my friends and have fun… This is kind of different. It was more fun. I never had a dull moment.

It was already 10 in the evening when he accompanied me home.

“Roy oppa…”

“Why did you call me oppa?”

“Because you are older than me.”

“Aaaah… Araseo…”

…there was complete silence.

“Ya!!! Oppa! What about our homework?! It’s due tomorrow!!”

“Aaaah.. I’ll do it. Don’t worry.”

“Are you sure? What if our professor finds out… We are dead.”

“Don’t worry. Get inside. See you tomorrow.”

“Araseo. Take care.”

I can still feel my heart beat fast. It’s the first time since the cute little kid. Oh my. Can this be? No. Does this mean I have a crush on him? No. No. No.
