“Wow.” Jungkook is speechless when Taehyung comes down the stairs almost bashfully.

Arriving in front of him, Taehyung’s confidence leaves him and he bites the inside of his cheek. “Hey Kookie.”

“You look...amazing,” Jungkook finally says, eyes trailing over his boyfriend. How did he get so lucky? “So amazing. I don’t even know what to say.”

“Thanks,” says Taehyung. “You look really great too. Like, really great.” His gaze makes Jungkook feel flattered.

“Thanks. I, uh, got the boutonniere,” Jungkook says hurried, not wanting to get caught up in Taehyung. He would stare at him all night if he could.

Taehyung hadn’t even noticed the bunch of flowers pinned to Jungkook’s coat but now he takes a closer look as the younger fumbles with the other.

It’s simple but pretty. Baby’s breath wreaths tiny orange roses. Taehyung raises an eyebrow as Jungkook pins it to him.

“Orange?”

“It’s was Seokjin hyung’s idea,” mumbles Jungkook, flushing slightly. “Because, you know, because of your hair.” Taehyung smiles brightly, his nerves starting to fall away as he pokes Jungkook’s cheek.

“Aw, Kookie!”

“Okay, I need a picture.”

The two turn sheepishly to Taehyung’s parents, realizing they had completely forgotten them since they were too caught up in each other.

Taehyung winds an arm around Jungkook’s waist, pulling him closer and making Baekhyun coo at the adorableness and Bambam scrunch his nose.

Chanyeol clicks picture after picture until the flash is too blinding and Taehyung tells him to stop.

“We have to go appa, the others are waiting outside,” he laughs. Jungkook is cutely blushing beside him.

“Okay, fine,” Baekhyun sighs dramatically. “Have fun you two! Be safe though, I don’t want any accidents. And-”

“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” adds Chanyeol and Baekhyun nudges him, rolling his eyes.

“I’m going to be there so you better not get any ideas,” Sungoh reminds them, ready to leave after they’re gone to pick up his girlfriend, Yoonhye. Bambam cackles with laughter and Taehyung’s cheeks heat.

“Sorry about them,” Taehyung says after they’ve bid their goodbyes and are walking down the porch to the limo parked at the end of the driveway. “You know how they can be.”

“I know,” Jungkook agrees. He looks down at his feet, almost embarrassed and although it’s dark, Taehyung can still see the hesitance on his face.

“Are you okay Kookie?”

Jungkook smiles as Taehyung links their fingers together. “Yeah, I just...you look really good, Tae. And I’m, you know, glad that it’s you I’m going with.”

So prom was fun and we all went to waffle house afterwards and that was lit. I also told the guy I liked he looked hot in a suit and he patted my cheek, so I almost died then. Always fun.

But honestly, Taekook is literally #relationship goals.
