“My friends think you’re cute,” Bambam says matter-of-factly as he gets into the car.

Taehyung grins from the drivers seat. “Well for good reason. I’m adorable.”

“And annoying.”

“I’m not annoying.”

“It’s so weird hyung,” Bambam complains as Taehyung starts to drive away from the school. “I don’t like it.”

“Just tell them I’m taken,” says the elder casually, easing into traffic. Bambam toss his bag to the back seat, stretching his legs out.

“I did. They even know Jungkook. But they still like you.”

“Should I use that to my advantage?” Taehyung winks mischievously.

“Hyung!” Bambam whines. “You’re terrible. I’m going to tell umma.”

“You wouldn’t.”

“I would.”

“Not if I told him about you and-”

“Nothing’s actually happened,” Bambam breaks in hastily. “And you know that. You and Jungkook have gone further!”

Taehyung grins, not the least bit ashamed. “And?”

“You’re hopeless.” Bambam pouts, turning the radio to his favorite station, his brother doing nothing to stop him. He’s not picky about music but it does help they both have similar taste.

“How was your math test though?” Taehyung asks loudly over the music. He had helped Bambam study the night before and wants to know how

exceptional his tutoring had been.

Bambam shrugs. “Fine. Crap. I know what everything was but how to do it? No way.”

“Don’t let umma hear you say that,” warns Taehyung. He had learned the hard way not to say anything like that to Baekhyun.

“Of course not. I don’t wanna die today.”

They hear Taehyung’s phone go off and the elder reaches for it, clicking the accept button. “Yoboseyo?”

“That’s not safe,” Bambam tells him, snatching the phone away. He holds it up to his own ear, ignoring Taehyung’s pouts. “Yoboseyo?”

“Tae’s driving, huh?” his appa says on the other end.

“Yeah.”

“We raised you so well.”

“Don’t you mean umma raised me?”

“I totally helped!”

Bambam laughs at Chanyeol’s offended tone. “Just kidding appa.”

“I’m sure you are. It’s lucky for you I won’t be home tonight.”

“Why?”

“I have a meeting later and your umma already had plans with Jongdae. So you two are going to be alone until ten or so.”

“Really?” Bambam smiles widely, ignoring Taehyung’s tugging at his arm and mouthing ‘what’.

“Don’t burn the house down while we’re gone.”

“Maybe just one room.”

“I’ll take it.”

“What?” asks Taehyung when the younger finally hangs up.

“Umma has plans with Jongdae hyungnim and appa has a meeting. So we’re free until ten.”

“Alone?”

“Alone.”

Taehyung grins. “So we’re going out to dinner then?”

“Only if you pay.”

“If I can chose.”

Bambam huffs a sigh. “Fine.”
