Sixteen
Five Makes A Family“You’re home early, I thought practice went longer,” says Bambam in surprise when the front door opens and his older brother walks through it.
“Mm.”
“Umma isn’t even home yet.”
“Mm.” Taehyung starts for the stairs, still in practice clothes but Bambam gets up to follow him, abandoning his book on the couch.
“Why are you home early?”
“Because I am.”
“Did something happen, hyung?”
“No.” But he answers too quickly and Bambam raises an eyebrow as they get to Taehyung’s bedroom.
“I don’t believe you.”
“Who cares if you do or not?”
“Hyung-”
But Taehyung walks into his room and shuts the door before his younger brother can follow.
“Hyung, what happened? You can tell me.”
“I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Hyung…”
“Go away Bambam!” But Taehyung’s voice sounds like he’s holding back tears, throat clogged and Bambam just knows something isn’t right.
“What happened?” There’s silence from the other side. “Is it school? Practice? Is it Jungkook?”
The door is yanked open and Taehyung stares at Bambam with glassy eyes, close to crying and almost snarls his answer.
“Don’t talk to me about him.”
Bambam is unaffected. “What did he do?”
Taehyung’s silent for a minute, debating whether or not to tell. But soon his feelings get the better of him and he crumbles. “He doesn’t love me anymore,” Taehyung manages to get out before he throws himself at Bambam, wrapping his arms around the thirteen-year old.
A little shocked, Bambam only stands there but when Taehyung starts to cry loudly, he leads them into the bedroom and sits on the bed, Taehyung still holding onto him.
The elder is usually more one for skinship-not that Bambam rejects it, Taehyung just initiates it more often-so Bambam isn’t that surprised by how tightly Taehyung’s holding onto him.
They stay like that for a little bit, Bambam acting as his brother’s personal teddy bear. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened so he just pats Taehyung’s head and waits for him to stop crying.
“He’s a jerk,” he finally says when Taehyung’s sobs have calmed down slightly. “There’s a reason why he never let me borrow his mangas.”
“It’s because he thought you’d lose them like me,” Taehyung says softly, the side of his mouth quirking.
“That’s not a good excuse.”
“I just thought...I don’t know what I thought,” sighs Taehyung, still sniffing back some tears. “What should I do, Bam?”
“I never thought you’d be the one asking me for relationship advice,” answers Bambam dryly, patting his hyung on the head. “But first I think we should watch some anime-then order some pizza, and watch it in umma and appa’s bedroom, since their bed is so big. We still have a couple hours to mess it up."
It’s been a routine that whenever they’re upset, they climb in their parents bed to watch TV since it’s a large flat screen and the bed’s king-sized.
Taehyung smiles, a real smile and nods at his brother’s thoughtfulness.
“You just need to take your mind off of it,” continues Bambam. “Now get up and go while I order the pizza.” And call Sungoh while he’s at it. He’s much better with relationship advice than Bambam is.
“With onions and olives?” asks Taehyung hopefully. Bambam hates onions. But it’s Taehyung’s favorite.
“Of course hyung.”
I was kinda in a sad mood.
Once again, the order for every chapter will always be Sungoh-Taehyung-Bambam. Always.
Thanks for reading! Until next time darlings... ^.^
