“What are you doing?” Taehyung leans against the doorframe of the bathroom, watching his younger brother in front of the mirror desperately try to flatten his bangs in a flattering manner.

“Fixing my hair-what does it look like?” hisses Bambam, scowling at his reflection. His hair just won’t look decent, no matter how hard he tries.

“Why?”

“Why not?”

Taehyung just shakes his head. His brother can be so stubborn sometimes. “But I thought we were going to watch the next episode! You don’t have to look nice to do that.”

“Sorry hyung, but I have plans.”

“Plans?” The elder raises an eyebrow but before he can ask further questions, the doorbell rings and finally something clicks. “Oh! I’ll get it!”

“Hyung!” But Bambam is too late as Taehyung’s whirled away from the door, barreling down the stairs to the door. “Oh God, I’m so screwed. I’m going to kill you hyung!”

Taehyung’s laughter echoes in the house as he skids to the front door, almost falling because he’s wearing socks, and he yanks the door open. “Hello!”

“Hello,” the other boy says, a little nervously and Taehyung lets his eyes trail over him. He’s seen him around with Bambam but he doesn’t know much about him. Bambam doesn’t talk about him much and they haven’t had a chance to interact-Bambam’s made sure of that.

“Jackson, right?” Taehyung says cheerily. All he knows about this guy is that he’s kind of wild, and doesn’t get the best grades (it comes in handy that Jimin knows almost everybody at school) but is friends with everybody.

“Yes. You’re Taehyung-ssi, Bam’s older brother? I’ve seen you around.”

“That’d be me. Are you taking him out for a date?”

Jackson flushes slightly at the other’s bluntness. “It’s not a date, really-I mean it is but I don’t want to pressure him-and he wanted it-I mean, he wanted a date, not it and...I’m not making a good impression, am I?”

Taehyung laughs. “I’m not the one you have to impress. But I got you. You’re just a bad influence on him.”

“O-oh?” Jackson looks a little worried. “I know I’m not the top of the class but...actually wait, forget I said that. I’m a bad influence?”

“Just think for a second.”

Jackson pauses, twisting his hands. “Is it because he’s worried about his hair?”

Taehyung grins. “Nailed it. You know, you’re smarter than you think.”

Sungoh peeks behind Taehyung’s shoulder, his eyes narrowing slightly when he sees Jackson who smiles nervously. “Hello.”

“Who may this be?”

“I’m Jackson Wang-”

“He’s taking Bam on a date!” Taehyung interjects excitedly. Sungoh raises an eyebrow and Jackson grins sheepishly.

“You’re his other brother then?”

“Mm.” Sungoh scans Jackson up an down. “I’m Sungoh. Bam is lucky this time I’m already late for basketball. But don’t think you’re out of this yet, Wang.”

“Of course not.”

With a quick ruffle to Taehyung’s hair, Sungoh takes his leave, brushing past them both as he heads for the car. “He’s not that scary,” Taehyung says when he sees Jackson’s face. “Really, I think he’ll be easier to convince than-”

“Hyung, I swear if you’re saying anything, I will personally-” Bambam threatens, coming up behind Taehyung. “Oh, hi Jackson.”

“Hey Bam. Ready to go?” Jackson flashes a smile and Taehyung nods in approval. He likes this guy, he comes to find.

“I hope Tae hyung didn’t weird you out,” replies Bambam and his older brother frowns, pretending to be hurt.

“Ouch Bam, that hurts,” he whines. “I wasn’t going to tell umma and appa but now that you said that-”

“I’m sorry hyung!” interrupts Bambam, looking a little panicked. “Don’t tell them, please!”

“Are they really that bad?” Jackson asks, starting to feel a bit wary. “I know you said I could wait longer to meet them, but I-”

“Who’s at the door?” calls Baekhyun and Bambam facepalms.

“We’re all dead.”

For the record, I ship Markson the most but Jackbam was the ship that worked the best in this situation.
