Sungmin’s POV

“Sungmin Oppa? Who are you talking to?”

 

 

I looked up from my phone and saw Haneul staring at me with a confused expression on her face. I couldn’t but chuckle at her cute expression and pinched her cheek.

 

 

“Kyuhyun Oppa is bothering me right now,” I told her, and by hearing Kyuhyun’s name, her face immediately lit up and she sat down next to me.

 

 

Since the café has closed down, I decided to work at Leeteuk and Kangin’s daycare full time until I can find another job. Leeteuk and Kangin practically cheered for joy and were more than happy to let me work full time. And as a celebration, they decided to let the kids play outside on the playground today, which I guess was a good idea since it’s such a nice day today.

 

 

Well, it was nice until Kyuhyun unexpectedly began texting me because he was bored at home. Now he’s just bothering me and won’t leave me alone. He’s been texting me ever since this morning and I can’t seem to get rid of him.

 

 

“Is Kyuhyun Oppa coming today?” Haneul asked innocently.

 

 

“I don’t think he’s coming today. He’s really busy right now,” I lied. I didn’t want to lie to her, but I’d rather not have Kyuhyun here today. He’ll just annoy me and take all of the kids away from me again.

 

 

“Aw, can you ask him if can come today? I miss playing with him. Sungmin Oppa misses him too, right?” she asked innocently again, and I couldn’t help but blush a little at her statement. Why on earth would I miss Kyuhyun? I see him practically almost every day. “Please Oppa?” she continued to beg, making a pouting face and batting her eyes. I hate how I can never say no to that face.

 

 

“Okay then. Oppa will ask him to come today,” I agreed, smiling sweetly at her. She smiled back before giving me a big hug and skipping away towards the playground as I began to text Kyuhyun again.

Why? Are you desperate to see me today? ;)

*Scoff* As if -.- Are you busy or not?

 Nope. I’m not really doing anything today. Why?

To: Annoying Brat

I’m working at the daycare today and the kids want to play with you. If you’re that bored, you can come and play with the kids so you can stop annoying me with your text messages.

I waited a couple minutes for Kyuhyun to text back, but his messages stopped coming. It was a simple suggestion. How long does it take to reply back to it? If you didn’t want to come then you could’ve just said so instead of not replying back to me. Tch, forget it. I didn’t want him to come anyway.

 

 

I stood up from the ground and began walking back into the daycare to get a drink of water until I hear the door open. I walked towards the door and gasped in surprise to see Kyuhyun standing there with a smile on his face.

 

 

“Missed me?” he smirked. I rolled my eyes as I walked away to get a water bottle.

 

 

“Not even close,” I replied. “You could’ve just said you were coming here.”

 

 

“I wanted to surprise you though,” he replied back, creeping up behind me as he placed his chin on my shoulder, making blush and jump a little.

 

 

“Y-yah! Don’t do that!” I stuttered as I turned around to face him.

 

 

“Still so cute,” he said with a smirk as he made his way towards the playground, leaving me alone to pout. I took a deep breath to calm myself down and my heart beat began to slow down.

 

 

After a few seconds I decided to move feet over to the playground again, already seeing all of the kids crowd around Kyuhyun. Just what I expected to happen. I sat back on the ground and took a sip out of my water bottle as I watched the kids fight over Kyuhyun.

 

 

“I want to play with Kyuhyun Hyung first!”

 

 

“No! Kyuhyun Oppa wants to play with me!”

 

 

“You’ll play with me, right Kyuhyun Oppa?”

 

 

“Kyuhyun Hyung! Let’s play over here!”

 

 

I still don’t see what these kids see in him. It could be because Kyuhyun is just like them; a kid who doesn’t want to do nothing more but play around.

 

 

Seconds later, I almost didn’t realize Haneul sitting next to me again.

 

 

“Haneul, why don’t you go play with Kyuhyun Oppa? You wanted to play with him today, right?” I asked her. She nodded her head slowly before sitting on top of my lap.

 

 

“But I wanted to play with both Kyuhyun Oppa and Sungmin Oppa. I want them all to myself,” she pouted, and I couldn’t help but chuckle and pinch her cheeks again because of how cute she was. “Doesn’t Sungmin Oppa want to play with Kyuhyun Oppa too?”

 

 

“Sungmin Oppa sees Kyuhyun Oppa too many times already. I can’t get rid of him because he’s always near me.”

 

 

“Sungmin Oppa is lucky then.”

 

 

“Hmm? How so?” I asked.

 

 

“Sungmin Oppa gets to see Kyuhyun Oppa almost every day. Oppa must be really happy to see him since you’re always together.”

 

 

“I wouldn’t say Oppa is happy when he sees Kyuhyun Oppa. Kyuhyun Oppa never leaves me alone so he annoys me.”

 

 

“Kyuhyun Oppa must really like you then,” she stated with the sweetest smile she could pull off, causing me to just stare at her with a blank expression. “If Kyuhyun Oppa always wants to be near you, then he must like you more than a friend, right? Kyuhyun Oppa probably loves Sungmin Oppa. Does Sungmin Oppa love Kyuhyun Oppa too?”

 

 

Before I could even say anything, we heard Kyuhyun call over to her and she smiled brightly as she got off of my lap to run over into his arms. Even if she stayed to hear a reply, I couldn’t answer her question. Nothing came into my head once she asked me.

 

 

“Does Sungmin Oppa love Kyuhyun Oppa too?”

 

 

N-No. Of course not. Why would I love him? I could never love someone like him. It’s just not possible, right?

 

 

Denying it again, huh?

 

 

There’s nothing for me to deny. I don’t love him. I don’t love him at all.

 

 

Even a little girl could tell that you at least like him.

 

 

She’s a little kid. She doesn’t know anything about love right now. And I’m not saying that I do, but even if I did love Kyuhyun, I’d have to stop. I don’t know what Mr. Lee would do if I loved Kyuhyun.

 

 

You admit that you at least like him then. What would you do if Kyuhyun loved you?

 

 

…I-I don’t know. I still don’t want to think about it. Kyuhyun shouldn’t love me either. He doesn’t even like me to begin with.

 

 

Note to self:

 

 

Don’t fall in love with Kyuhyun.

 

 

Kyuhyun’s POV

“Kyuhyun Oppa!” Haneul screamed as she jumped into my arms and I picked her up. I smiled at her and pinched her cheeks.

 

 

“How’s my favorite little girl?” I asked her and she giggled.

 

 

“I’m much happier now that you’re here!” she admitted, making smile wider and I blushed a little.

 

 

“What were you talking about with Sungmin Oppa?”

 

 

“We were talking about you!”

 

 

“Hmm? What about me?”

 

 

“Oppa, do you like Sungmin Oppa?” she whispered into my ear and I just stared at her with disbelief. How did a little girl figure out how I felt about Sungmin?

 

 

“Yes, I like Sungmin Oppa a lot,” I confessed, feeling my cheeks getting hotter.

 

 

“I think Sungmin Oppa likes you too!” she giggled once again. “Oppa, do you love Sungmin Oppa?” I frowned as I sat down on a swing and set her down on my lap. She wrapped her arms securely around my neck as I started to slowly swing back and forth.

 

 

“I can’t love Sungmin Oppa,” I replied, and it was her turn to frown.

 

 

“Why not?”

 

 

“Things are complicated for me right now. And they’re keeping me from loving him.” Her frown became bigger and tears started to form in her eyes.

 

 

“That’s not fair. I wish you could love Sungmin Oppa. It doesn’t look like it, but I’m sure Sungmin Oppa loves Kyuhyun Oppa a lot. If you can’t love Sungmin Oppa, then it makes me want to cry…” I smiled sadly at her as hugged her, making sure didn’t cry just for me.

 

 

“Yeah, it makes Kyuhyun Oppa sad too.”

 

 

Yesung’s POV

“Are you ready to go, Ryeowook?” I asked him as we exited the SM building. I had forgotten that I had vocal training today, so I was really sad that I couldn’t take Ryeowook somewhere for our date all day today. Though he suggested that we should have a picnic today after I was done, so he stayed with me all day at SM. Even if it’ll be a short date, since he’ll have to be home soon, it’ll be worth it. I’m just glad that I got to see his beautiful face today.

 

 

“Yes!” he answered as I took his hand in mine and made our way over to the car. I opened the door for him to get in and quickly made my way around to the driver’s seat. Seconds later, we were already on our way to have our late night date.

 

 

Neither of us really like going on those typical dates where you go to a restaurant, sit down, and just eat. I mean, how boring would that be? Ryeowook suggestion is much better.  Plus, eating anything that he makes it more special.

 

 

After minutes of driving, we had already arrived at the park, where we will be having our wonderful picnic. The both of us got out of the car and I went to open the trunk to take out a blanket while Ryeowook grabbed our picnic basket.

 

 

We walked hand in hand looking for a good spot to set our stuff down. We picked a spot near a big oak tree, where we could see all of the stars in the sky shine brightly.

 

 

I lied the blanket down on the ground before the two of us sat down on it and reached into the basket. Ryeowook took out everything that he made as I took it a couple candles to light up around us.

 

 

We spent probably an hour enjoying his cooking and just being near each other. Everything just seemed so perfect at the moment. And now that Ryeowook belongs to me, I knew there were more moments to come just like this. I would do anything to stay like this with him forever.

 

 

After eating, we decided to lie down and just stare at the stars. I had my arms wrapped around his small body as he laid his head on my chest, listening to my heartbeat.

 

 

“I’ve always wanted to do something like this together with you,” Ryeowook shyly confessed, making my heartbeat go faster. I smiled down at him and kissed the top of his head.

 

 

“We can do this anytime we want now. No one is going to stop us,” I added, and I heard him giggle softly. There was silence for a moment until he decided to speak up again.

 

 

“Are you sure it’s okay for your father to know about…us?” he asked as he looked up at me with a worried expression. This time, I kissed his cheek and smiled at him.

 

 

“I couldn’t care less on what my father would think of us. His opinion doesn’t matter to me. He doesn’t matter to me. You’re the only one who’s important to me. Don’t worry about him from now on. He won’t have anything to do with you anymore and you won’t have anything to do with him. Let me deal with whatever he says about us. I’m not going to let my own father take you away from me. I want you to stay with me forever. I want to protect you, be with you, and love you until I die,” I replied back to him. I noticed how red his cheeks became as he buried his face in my chest. I took this advantage to pull his entire body onto my chest, making complete eye contact with him.

 

 

“I…I want to stay with you f-forever too…” he stuttered softly with a grin on his face. Unexpectedly, he went closer to my face and surprised me with a short kiss on my lips before burying his face in the crook of my neck. Although it was short, it still felt special. Now that he was mine, I could kiss him whenever I want. “I love you, Yesung…” he whispered in my ear.

 

 

“I love you too, Ryeowook,” I whispered back as my grip around his waist tightened and I began to sing to him.

By the time I finished singing, I knew that he already fell asleep, making me chuckle at how cute he was.

 

 

I packed everything up and carried the blanket, the basket, and Ryeowook bridal style towards my car. I set the sleeping Ryeowook in the front seat before putting the blanket and basket in the trunk and getting into the driver’s seat. I the ignition and began driving Ryeowook home.

 

 

While driving, I constantly looked over to Ryeowook, who was indeed in a very deep sleep. I took his hand in mine and rubbed it with my thumb, smiling at him.

 

 

I won’t let anything or anyone take Ryeowook away from me.

 

 

He’ll always be in my heart.
