Kikwang POV

I rang the doorbell a couple of times. Waiting in the cold night air, I knew I shouldn’t have come and disturb everyone’s sleep but I needed someone to talk to. I hoped Junhyung would come answer the door but to my surprise, it was his sister Jiyeon. Her hair was messily in a bun and she had her large thick glasses rested slightly on her nose. She squinted, as she got closer to me as if to examine me. My eyes wandered to the ground then slowly I found myself staring at her. Her white tank was fitted to her upper body and her loose blue sweats hanged on her hips nicely. I haven’t realized that even in her pajamas, she looked pretty. I quickly shook my head in disapproval. If Hara would ever find me in this predicament, I’d be shot dead with her deadly gaze.

“Hello” I managed to say squeakily.

“Are you coming in or not?” she said as she began to shiver.

I quickly closed the door behind me and followed her in. To my great joy, Junhyung came down also.

“Jiyeon, who was that at the door?”

“Oh, Kikwang sshi”

I observed as Junhyung’s gaze shot at me then back at Jiyeon. I felt awkward at this point, he probably read my mind and he rushed Jiyeon back to sleep. As we seated near the counter of the kitchen, I stared at her walking back upstairs. She was really pretty and for some reason, my eyes seemed as if it were glued to her.

“YAH! Why are you looking at my sister like that!” Junhyung yelled as he smacked me in the head.

“Hyung! That hurts”

“If you look at her again, I’m going to punch you. Try it”

I sat still and silent for a while. I didn’t know how to bring about the subject. But he urged me to talk to him.

“It’s about Hara”

“What about her?”

“She’s distant from me. Haven’t seen her in two weeks, it almost feels like she is avoiding me ever since she got her acceptance letter to Seoul University of Arts”

“Hmm… So you came for advice. Talk to her. I don’t know what it is but rather than sitting here and talking to me about it, talk to her”

“I’m waiting for her to tell me. I don’t want to force her to tell me something she’s not ready you know?”

“I guess but I’m just not the kind to wait around. I take action”

“Action?”

“Yeah well you guys have been dating since the ninth grade. There shouldn’t be any boundaries left that you haven’t crossed right?”

“I guess…”

I was hesitant. Whether Hara wants to tell me or not, she will in time. I can’t force her to do anything. I sighed heavily.

“Can I sleepover tonight?”

“Yeah, it’s getting late.”

Sleeping over seems to be kind of my habit nowadays. Junhyung urged me to go to his room and wait for me as he checks up on Jiyeon. I decided to follow him. Entering her room, I realized how it didn’t change at all. I remembered when I was first introduced to Junhyung, we played hide and seek and I accidentally came into this room.
