From Fact to Fiction
Hyunseung’s POV
I watched her as she slept so soundly on my shoulders. Her fragrant smell, her luminous hair, and felt the warmth of her body against mine. It was a weird feeling. I felt confused. My heartbeat increased when I was with her. I get nervous in front of her. It was so strange. I had no idea what this feeling was but somehow, I liked it. It was exhilarating. I wanted to continue to feel this way. Whether it was right or wrong.
Her body was relaxed on the sofa as the large blue blanket that covered most of her. My arms were around her tiny waist. I tightened my hold on her waist. I wanted to hold her longer for some odd reason. My eyes roamed around and landed on her soft pink lips. Her eyes widened in embarrassment. I quickly turned to look in the other direction, waking her up from my sudden movement.
“Hyunseung?” she yawned.
She looked at me for a second and then realized our situation; she got up quickly knocking over the wine cup onto the ground. I chuckled at her cuteness. She surely didn’t resemble Junhyung. What odd siblings.
“Sorry…” she said, as she was about to pick up the cup.
“Its okay. I’ll get it later” I said as I approached her.
Walking up to her, I gently touched her face. She shuttered briefly at my touch. Lifting a strand of hair from her forehead, I tucked it behind her ear. Coming closer to her, she didn’t move. She intently stared at the ground without looking at me. My eyes landed at her lips again almost instantaneously. Then I froze.
A loud thud was heard, our heads turned to Junhyung who was just coming in. It was already seven in the morning, where could he have gone all night? I watched as Jiyeon’s expression weakened. He watched me as his fists tightened. I knew what he was thinking. He probably wanted to punch me right now and as I was expecting him to, he left without a word into his room.
My eyes shot back at Jiyeon. She looked as if she was about to fall. When has she become like this? My hands supported her back as she shot a look at me. Quickly taking her hand, I brought her out. I didn’t know where I was driving to but we ended up in front of a café shop she goes to often. Before she got out, I stopped her urging her to stay for a while.
“When have you become so weak? You don’t look any better than you did while Junhyung was in the hospital. Where’s the strong and courageous Jiyeon go?” I said breaking the long silence finally.
“He’s changed. He’s no longer my brother. He’s a different person now”
“What do you mean?”
“Hyunseung don’t you see? He doesn’t even see me anymore. He doesn’t care. I don’t know what I did wrong. Can you tell me?”
I began to rethink the past couple of weeks and how weird Junhyung has been acting. He has been acting strange. How could I have not sensed it?
“I don’t know what to say” I replied in defeat.
“I want my brother back. I want things to go back to the way things were”
Jiyeon lays down on her seat and closes her eyes as if she could wake up from this bad dream.
Junhyung’s POV
Walking out with my luggage, I headed to my new condo. I wasn’t going to live with Hyunseung forever, I don’t need to eat and live for free on someone else’s expense. As I locked the door, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and it was Father.
Arriving in front of the restaurant, I walked to the private room in the b
