From Fact to Fiction
Junhyung’s POV
I haven’t seen her in a week. I’ve been a mad man since the last time I’ve seen her. I can’t stop thinking about her. I can’t stop seeing her image everywhere I go. I can’t stop dreaming about her. I can’t stop! I was crazy! Why am I like this? I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Why is it such a big shock to me now? I rolled around on the bed trying to find a comfortable place in bed to sleep but honestly without her, I can’t sleep at all. Mom has been constantly making trips to the temple and playing for forgiveness. Father has been busying himself with work. The family was a mess.
Hyunseung and HyunA managed to get married despite the incidents that happened on their wedding day. I remember what Hyunseung whispered to me before he left with HyunA. ‘Don’t let her go. Go after her or she will think you don’t care. Let her know you care the most about her.’ What does that even freaking mean?
My phone vibrated and it was from Doojoon Hyung. I haven’t heard from him in a year because of his busy schedule.
Doojoon (text): Junhyung! I’m in Seoul. Let’s celebrate!
I thought why not. I snuck out of the house via bedroom window and went to the hotel Doojoon was staying at. I met him at the bar in the hotel. He was already seated and gulping down large glasses of beer.
“Hyung!” I smiled as I gave him a bear hug.
“Aish! Chinja! Aha” replied Doojoon as he returned the hug.
We sat and started to talk about our lives as we drank. It was rather comforting. I felt like a part of me was reviving. Doojoon had that effect on people.
“I read the headlines from the newspaper while coming back to Seoul. My dongsaeng and her brother… What’s happened?” Doojoon asked worried.
“Was that why you asked me out for drinks?” I asked skeptically.
He always knew everything and was one step ahead of everyone. He was a hyung that can always be trusted and dependent on.
“I figured you needed someone. Tell Hyung what’s going on”
I told him the story from start to finish. He didn’t interrupt me. He nodded and silently drank. When I was finished, he still didn’t say anything until he finished gathering his thoughts and proceeded with his advice.
“You shouldn’t have lied to her. When you found out, you should have slowly broke the news to her. Now she doesn’t trust you anymore. If I was her, I wouldn’t even want to see you”
“Even I know that. It just ! I left my temptations get the better of me. I just can’t stop thinking about her” I said as I stared down at my glass.
“What Hyunseung said seems like he’s rooting for
