From Fact to Fiction
Jiyeon’s POV
“Who can it be at this hour?” I asked as I opened the door.
The most unexpected visitor came. I scrunched my nose in dissatisfaction. I looked away as she spoke.
“Oh Jiyeon ah I didn’t know you lived with your brother now” Jiyoung stated quietly as she entered.
“If you’re looking for Junhyung, he’ll be back in a few. He went out to buy some midnight snacks for me”
“Ahh I see. Since you’re here, I’d like to have a talk with you”
“What?” I looked at her with disinterest.
“Are you feeling better?”
“Is that really what you had to say to me?”
“Junhyung and I began dating a while ago. I didn’t mean to hide it from you. I just didn’t know how to tell you. I didn’t mean to hurt you”
“So instead you decided to not tell me while I was hurting and sick. You knew how I felt and you never considered about me!”
“… I’m sorry”
“Do you really sincerely love my brother?”
I watched her. Her eyes sternly gazed back at me.
“Yes, yes I do” she said with confidence.
“Treat him well”
“Does that mean we’re friends?”
“You can say so” I smiled.
Dongwoon’s POV
Aish! I’m so tired. Kikwang finally has gotten over Hara but now all he does is bug me! I was at the intersection in front of the café when I spotted Jiyeon. Even with the many cars driving by, I was able to see her. Through the large translucent window, she was sipping her coffee… alone. Earphones were plugged into her ears, as she seemed to be in her own world. Her large beige cape coat blended well with her gray skinnies and black uggs. I gazed at her seemingly concentrated face. Her eyes finally met mines when I lost my train of thought. I quickly looked away shyly and when I looked back, she waved to me gesturing me to come.
I stood there without moving. I didn’t want to go but something made me curious about her. I didn’t know why but my feet started walking without me even realizing. I didn’t like her. I thought she was annoying and full of herself but then again it wouldn’t hurt right? I ordered myself an espresso and seated myself next to Jiyeon.
“Oh Dongwoon sshi?”
“What are you doing here this late at night?” I asked with annoyance.
“Jiyoung came over and I just wanted to give my brother and her some space”
“You live with Hyung now?”
“Yeah… why is that a surprise?”
“No not really” I replied quietly.
I sat awkwardly in silence. Occasionally I’d find myself staring back at her. For someone who was Junhyung’s sister, she was very pretty. Maybe I didn’t see it before but up close, she was so naturally physically appealing. I choked on my espresso at that thought. I can’t believe I just thought she was pretty! Aish! She’s rubbing off on me!
“Dongwoon sshi, I always thought you disliked me. Why is that?”
My eyes enlarged. She was so upfront unlike all the other girls I’ve known. I smirked as I relaxed myself and stared at the moving cars.
“Don’t you like Hyunseung? And at the same time is playing with Kikwang?”
Her eyes shifted in
