Hyunseung’s POV

“The wedding is in a couple of days. Are you ready?” asked HyunA as she fumbled with her food.

We were having dinner at home prepared by the maids. There was this awkward silence between us since the incident with Jiyeon had occurred. I haven’t even bothered to explain about why I was hugging Jiyeon because she never asked.

“I guess” I managed to mutter.

“If you don’t want this, then we don’t have to go through with it”

I stared at her in utter shock. What was she talking about?

“What do you mean? You are willing to cancel this wedding because of me?”

“…If that’s what you want. It’s fine with me” she continued.

“Why… why are you so nice to me when I have not been there for you? Don’t you have any pride?”

“It’s that word again. Pride. I lost all my pride when this marriage was planned out because I ended up falling so deeply in love with someone I shouldn’t have”

“Are you confessing to me now?” I asked half in shock and half in expectation.

“Am I? Is that how it works? Aha I’ve never had to beg anyone to love me before. This is the first time”

“Beg?”

“You only see Jiyeon. What am I to you? You’re pass time. You’re dog?”

“HyunA… it’s not like that. Why do you make it sound so harsh?” I asked as I tried to lightened the atmosphere.

To be honest since the weeks I haven’t seen Jiyeon, HyunA and I have been getting along just fine. I like having HyunA around, she is very outgoing and fun to be around. It was not until I saw Jiyeon that my mind began to get confused again. She wasn’t that bad.

“I think I’m done eating. If you’ll excuse me,” she said as she got up to leave.

“Wait! You didn’t even touch your food!” I screamed as she ignored me.
