Sparkling Stardust"I'm back!" JinAe announced just as when she entered the house. She was expecting to see LuHan in the living room or somewhere and he would greet her but he didn't. She headed straight to the kitchen where she found Aunt Su-jeong still cooking. "Where's LuHan? Is he still asleep?" She asked as she put the grocery bag at the top of the kitchen counter.
"He went back in his room." Aunt Su-jeong replied. "Go ahead and check him out. He seems not fine a while ago."
"Really? What happened?"
"I'm not sure. Just ask him."
"Okay." She left the kitchen and walked upstairs toward his room. She knocked on the door but he didn't reply. So she reached for the door knob and pushed the door open. "LuHan?" She called his name as she stepped inside the room. Astonishment filled her when she saw him packing his bag, his back on her. "LuHan, is something wrong? Why are you packing your things up?"
It took him a couple of seconds to respond. "I'm going home." He said, his voice laced with displeasure and coldness.
"What? But we just got here."
"You can stay here longer if you want to. But I'm going home." He said, the same moment he zipped his bag close. JinAe furrowed her eyebrows. What was happening to him? Why was he suddenly being cold? No, he wasn't mad because she didn't wake him up this morning right? That was just ridiculous.
She cleared . "Well, if you're going home I'll come with you. Wait for me. I'll just—"
"No, I can go home without you." And with that he walked past her. She followed suit.
"What's wrong, LuHan?" She asked as she followed him downstairs. When he didn't look at her, she grabbed his arm to halt him and immediately blocked his way. "Can you please tell me what's wrong?"
He was gritting his teeth, she could tell it by how his jaw was moving. He was looking everywhere but not her eyes. Now, she was bothered. He was fine yesterday and even last night before going to bed. She had no idea what's going on with him right now. She swallowed hard, wanting to ignore the lump that was starting to form on .
"If you are going home, I'm coming with you okay?" She said softly, hoping that he will let her do what she wanted. "Please wait for me. I'll just pack my things up in a sec." She told him. He sighed but didn't say a word. She assumed it was a yes so she hurried back to her room and shoved all her things back to her bag. When she was done, she was running back down the house. Aunt Su-jeong was outside and she seemed like she was talking to LuHan. She then hurried outside.
"I'm sorry I had to go back." She heard him saying. "You can ask JinAe to stay here a little bit more, I don't mind."
She spoke before her aunt could. "Mama, we're really sorry." She kissed her aunt goodbye. Though she can see the confusion in her eyes, she didn't ask. Instead, she just smiled. "I promise, we'll be back soon." She kissed her again and hugged her tight.
"Okay. Take care then." Aunt Su-jeong said. "Call me when something's wrong." JinAe wasn't quite sure what she meant but she nodded nonetheless. She slid inside the car and moment later they drove home. She thought LuHan will then start speaking but he wasn't. He remained silent throughout the ride, let alone clear his throat. To be honest, she wanted to break the silent. But LuHan didn't look like he was in the mood to talk.
So she just let him. Until they had reached the apartment.
"LuHan, talk to me." She muttered before he could bang his bedroom door shut. "Did I do something wrong? Why are you suddenly being like this? What happened? Did I do something that offended you?"
He sighed, still not looking at her. "I'm tired, JinAe. I'm in no mood to talk."
"But—" The door shut in front of her face all of a sudden, she didn't get the chance to finish her sentence.
