Saehee sat beside Lina, Jackson glanced up at her.

Yoora was helping Mark with his food, Saehee bit her lip.

“What’s wrong?” Lina patted her shoulder.

“I…I’m okay, that food looks great, auntie.”

“I made your favorite spring rolls.”

Saehee smiled thankfully before helping herself.

“Oppa, unnie you mentioned you didn’t like carrots, I removed them for you.” Yoora smiled as she placed a serving of salad on Mark’s plate. Saehee’s lips thinned.

Yunho and Jackson studied Saehee’s face.

“He eats carrots, it’s the olives he doesn’t like.” Saehee said lowly before picking up her glass.

“Is something wrong, Sae?” Saehee felt Jackson’s hand on her arm.

She nodded before heading to the living room.

“I don’t know, do you have…anything to drink here?”

“The last time when you had alcohol, you got hit by a moving vehicle.” Jackson said, they found Yoora talking with Mark on the couch, the both looked up.

“Unnie, oppa was just telling me about LA when you lived there.”

“Ah..really?” Saehee’s eyes followed Yoora’s hand, which was on Mark’s.

“Did he tell you how he barged in my room almost every seven am during school days?” She said, her tone slightly cold.

Saehee paused as she saw Yoora blinking at her, Mark was studying her face.

“Jackson…was just walking me out. Good night.” Saehee sputtered.

“I..was?” Jackson pointed to himself, alarmed. Saehee grabbed her purse and cardigan and she rushed to the front door.

“Auntie, uncle. I need to go, thanks for dinner!” She called out before closing the door.

“That’s my cue.” Mark slapped his cousin’s arm and followed his friend.

“This ends here.” Mark warned before heading out.

Saehee brushed her tears away as she exited the gates. She grumbled to herself as she hugged her purse to her chest.

She felt so frustrated with herself, why was she feeling that way?

Why did she want to talk to Yoora and ask her to leave?

Why does Yoora annoy her big time?

She groaned and shut the gates behind her; she proceeded to lean on the wall. She rubbed her cheeks harshly.

“Seriously, Jung Saehee.” She grumbled.

“Yes, seriously.” A deep voice joined her thoughts. She felt someone pull her hands away from her face, Mark was looking at her.

“You know, premature wrinkles..they happen.” He stated while wiping her cheeks with his handkerchief.

“What are you doing out here?” She murmured while trying to dodge his hand away, Mark looked at her, his eyes concerned.

“Why are you crying, Sae?”

Saehee bit her lip, Mark’s eyes made her uncomfortable. She looked away, then started to push him back, Mark shook his head at her and pressed her back to the wall.

“You said we needed to talk.”

“I-I—I did, but..not now.” She swallowed.

“Saehee, what’s wrong?”

Saehee shook her head, refusing to look at him. Mark sighed.

“Is this about what I said?”

“No..what…you said something…? When?…Where?”

Mark chuckled and kissed her forehead, Saehee balked.

“No, I mean…Yoora…you didn’t tell me, I was surprised.”

Mark shook his head at her.

“Ah, I shouldn’t have said that…I just…Well…it took me~”

“I mean, no. There’s nothing to say about me and her.” Mark finished.

“Oh.” Saehee blinked.

“Where is this conversation going, bud?” Mark teased.

“So, why did you cry?”

Saehee wanted to hit herself.

She exhaled and crossed her arms.

“Saehee?”

“I was…You know what Tuan, I should go home, see you tomorrow?” She looked up, trying to conceal her trembling fingers.

Mark smiled at her, Saehee glanced at his hands both on the sides of her shoulders.

“No.”

Mark leaned down and pressed his lips on hers.

“I said, I love you that time. I love you, Sae.”
