The whole placed turned quiet as they watched the kid, Jackson sat up from his stool.

Slowly, a genuine smile formed on Mark’s lips as he knelt down to face the girl.

“When did you arrive?”

“Just now, daddy. Is this your party?”

Mark just smiled and lifted her up.

“Mommy?” The girl turned to Saehee.

Saehee stood there, her eyes on Myungsoo, his lips quivered slightly.

Mark had her eyes on the child and kissed her cheek and hugged her tightly.

Some of the guests choked on their drinks.

“Shh, Lauren.” Saehee whispered softly.

“Should I call you eomma, then?” She asked in Korean.

Myungsoo’s eyes widened, he looked at Saehee, she saw confusion and pain in his eyes.

“Eomm-a?...Eo-mma?..Eom-ma?”

On the other hand, Jackson was laughing to himself as he watched, then with a quick glance at Myungsoo, he called,

“She got that from you, Mark!”

Mark froze as he realized what was happening.

“Eom~”

“Lauren, why don’t we get you something to eat? Are you hungry?” Mark glanced at Saehee, then he saw Myungsoo step out of the place.

“Sae~” Mark stopped himself, his eyes followed Saehee as she walked after Myungsoo.

“Is something wrong with mommy?”

Mark glanced around him, people were all staring. He sighed before walking back to Jackson.

“Myung~”

“You never told me.” Myungsoo turned to face her.

“She~”

“You hid this from me? Something as big as this.”

Saehee sighed and stepped to him.

“You don’t understand, she’s my~”

“Daughter, I know! You don’t need to explain anymore, Saehee.”

“Just please listen to me, Myungsoo.”

“Right now, I really don’t want to talk to you, I have nothing to say, Hee.”

“Why are you always like this?” Saehee shot back.

“Me? You should ask that yourself. I waited for you earlier, you never even called,”

“Waited? For..? What are you talking about?”

Myungsoo just shook his head at her and left.

Saehee walked back to the party, her brows were furrowed. As soon as she walked in, she ignored the stares she was earning.

She felt irritated.

Why couldn’t he just listen?

She exhaled deeply, then she heard a small voice calling to her, she glanced up and saw Lauren waving at her with a smile on her face.

Sahee had no choice but to smile and walk to the kid.

“When did you arrive?” She asked as she sat beside her, she looked at Mark before turning to the kid.

“Just earlier this morning~” She yawned slightly, Saehee didn’t have a choice but to chuckle.

“I’ll bring her home,” Saehee turned to Mark and grabbed Lauren’s hand. Jackson grinned and flung one arm around Saehee.

“Jackson.” Lauren stated as the other male picked her up.

”I’ll have the valet bring your car around, Sae.” Jackson nodded as he and Lauren headed out of the party.

Saehee sighed as they left, Mark slowly walked up to her.

“I’m sorry.”

She just pressed her forehead on his shoulder.

“This is tiring me, Mark.”

“Sae~”

“I can’t be in this kind of relationship.”

Mark bit his lip, contemplating what to say.

“But at least I have you and Jackson, right?” She looked up, Mark just nodded and cupped her cheeks before letting go.

“Always.”

Jackson put Lauren down as they entered Saehee’s loft.

“Let’s shower before sleeping, okay?” Saeheee said as she took off her coat, she smiled as Jackson helped Lauren with her shoes.

“You didn’t know she was coming?”

“Yeah, Lina didn’t tell me anything.”

“It’s supposed to be a surprise, Jackson.” Lauren explained. Saehee chuckled.

“Eomma, is daddy coming here?”

“Later, he has a few things to finish, come on, let’s wash up.”

Saehee guided Lauren to the guest room.

“Good night, eomma.” Lauren smiled before kissing her cheek.

“Do you want me to stay until you fall asleep?”

“It’s fine, mommy.”

Saehee smiled before stepping out of the room, she headed to her own and found Jackson already asleep on her bed.

She sighed and just plopped beside him.

“Ya, how could you not know your own daughter was coming?” She grumbled before snuggling next to him.
