Going Back Home
Mission Impossible: Operation Steal Kim Myungsoo's Heart
"Excuse me passengers, this is your captain speaking, we are now approaching Incheon, we will be landing in a few minutes. Please fasten your seat belts and prepare for landing. Thank you"
FINALLY. ALMOST THERE. In an hour or two, I'll be back in my favorite place in the world. Seoul, South Korea.
"Its been so long." my umma said, smiling. She missed Seoul, her hometown, too.
"I wonder if my korean is still in pretty good shape…" my dad mumbled to himself, anxiety due to the language barrier evident on his face.
"Its okay dad, I'm sure its still pretty good. Let me test you. Whats Hello in korean?"
"Annyeonghaseyo!" he said with his heavy american accent.
"How 'bout I Love You?"
"Thats easy, I tell your mother that everyday. Saranghae. C'mon Jungie, give me something more challenging."
Ugh. I hated it when my dad called me "Jungie."
Yoojungie, fine I can take that. But not Jungie.
"Fine… What's I Want To Go Home?"
"Hmmm…Baegopa."
"ENK. That means I'm Hungry dad. You won't survive in Korea." I kidded.
"Hey don't say that Jungie, I'm already as nervous as it is."
"Stop calling me Jungie dad! I hate it when you call me that." I said as I pouted. Seriously, Jungie sounds like something I'd name my pet hamster.
"OMO! We're landing!" my umma said, literally about to bounce out of her seat if it weren't for the seat belt holding her down.
The streets of Seoul were beckoning to me, and now I'm finally going to answer their calls.
"Here I come Seoul."
